Just noticed the same on one of my Mini 4 Pro batteries, other two seem fine. Each battery has been flown only once. My Mini 3 batteries never had an issue.
Hey Jeff, it’s also because you pack your bag wrong. The drone sits good. If you have your bag in front of you it’s the drone left, the remote furthest away from you on its side, with the screen away from you and the antennas on the right, then the flap makes sense too, you’ll see, the flap makes that you have a square container for the batteries. And you can still easily fit a freewell nd filter case, the big one in the front and you have room to spare still😉
Hi @JWhyte123,sorry for the inconvenience caused. May I know have you contacted with our service support or created any case before? If yes, you could please provide us the related ticket/ case number and we will help you to follow. Looking forward to your reply.
I just found my first with an ultralight 249G battery on my pretty new M4P. Its either in the drone, the 3 port DJI charger or a hard case. This is a fatal and dangerous flaw. I noticed a couple of times it seemed the battery was loose in the drone and now i know why. Its not broke off yet, only cracked....
I placed it into the drone to see how many cycles it had, it was 19, that also seems to have cracked the other side as well. Seems they only have a 15 day warranty. That makes them cost about $5 per insertion.
Hello Jeff. I have exactly the same problem. I bought a drone dji mini 4 pro about 2 months ago and the clips on one of the batteries broke from both ends. The first one broke when I was removing the battery from the charger. I'm sure I didn't apply too much force when removing the battery. The other clip broke when I was inserting it into the charger. It's really sad when you know that the battery is brand new and I only flew with it about 5 times. Now I'm even afraid to put the remaining batteries into the charger. The cost of new batteries with shipping is about 80-90 euros. It's very upsetting. I started looking for information and it turns out I'm not the only one with this problem. It seems that the DJI Mini 3 Pro batteries have this issue, but DJI hasn't fixed the problem. I have a one-year warranty, but I heard that I'll have to cover the shipping costs. Also, DJI only allows two claims. Generally, I rarely write, but people need to know about this.
Thanks for posting. Yes, DJI really needs to fix this problem. I posted this video because none of the big channels that review and discuss drones mention this problem. Its significant and drone flyers should know about it before buying. Best of luck getting those new batteries. It would be great to hear back from you on the process and how easy it was to deal with the warranty.
Yes Sr, it got to be a bad bagged of dji errors on there batteries, I send my batteries back to dji....waiting will see...care fresh don't use is a replace issue....thanks.
this is bs. its a flaw in the design. and dji does not want to replace them . 1200 dollars mini pro 4 . with a cheaply designed battery. this should not happen. these are 95 dollars a battery.. don't blame the user.
Dji should come good for a recall on these, or at least put a new case around them if the tabs break for free or a very minimal cost because of poor workmanship or manufacturing process

Thanks, I will try that. Best
I have the same problem with one of my DJI mini 4 Pro batteries! It just broke one tab when I put it into the charging case.
Soooo poorly designed.... should never happen at this stage in DJI's drone development.

I noticed one of the tabs (MP4) was cracked so I wasn't using it, now a second battery is developing a cack!
Thank you for the advice!!!!
Thanks mate
I have never even noticed the tabs!
A known issue with Mini 3/4 batteries, really badly designed in my opinion.
Just found one of mine broken. Not impressed. Battery has been used maybe four times always stored in a Hardcase in charger.
Now have to wonder when the other two batteries will break tabs.
I have been really careful, but its ridiculous.

Good way to get back under 249 with the plus batts. Break off the tabs!!!

Totally agree!
