Great stuff! Bravo and great results. I also sold an image on Arcangel, even though I have less than 300 assets. Encourages me to upload again, even though they refuse a lot of my images. Still fun to see your photo on a book cover, because by the time they pay you, the book is already in the stores (I do find that kind of a late payment).
300 assets is still quite a few to have accepted on Arcangel so that's really good! It can be tempting to upload, but for me as a hobby photographer it seems pretty hard.
@@JWhyte123 I'm also a hobbyist and Arcangel wants only exclusive photos, so as a rule I don't shoot for them, but when I have an asset that would probably not get accepted elsewhere (too artistic, for example), I do try my luck. I'm no Alexandre Rotenberg though.
Congrats on your AC sale! I really do think you live in and close to a special run-down places with value for book covers. If you could add a model dressed in period would be even better. Thanks for sharing your results.
An incredible amount to earn from stock photos in a month, congrats. I have many images with recognisable property or people in them and I don't have property or model releases. I can upload these "editorial" images to Alamy but I believe Adobe don't allow such images, is that correct? And yet the Edinburgh Castle shot seems to be an editorial image. I know you are busy but I would really be so grateful if you could clarify Jeff.
I did do a video on Adobe and editorial if you look back at older videos. It's all actually very ambiguous in terms of what gets accepted. With Adobe, no images of people even if editorial submission and often no images of buildings unless there is a 'brand' element included. That said, often buildings are accepted as editorial and royalty free on Adobe. The Edinburgh Castle image is not editorial, not taken from the property and no trademarks, etc. included.
hello dear, how many images should be in portfolio ,earn $100 per month in adobe. all 7 downloads $5 and portfolio 664.i brought brand new sony a 7r v camera and prime 1,4 lens.i think lost my money.
I have some good video content and lots of content that really isn't very good at all. Being a photo first person, I end up with lots of garbage video that i still uploaded as I tried to get better at producing video content.
Congrats Jeff on the book cover sale! Hope you have more of those!
I hope so to Andew... but I am not holding my breath :)

@@JWhyte123 thank you Jeff appreciate the response, yeah it seems v confusing indeed but many thanks for your time. I’ll check out that video
Excuse my ignorance, what is "data set" earnings Jeff
PS nice drone footage of Calgary
Basically, the stock agencies use the images / video as data for third parties to use for various purposes, such as training AI models, etc.

Thousands - I would aim to get a portfolio of good images in the range of 7000-10000. Lots of video as well.
Suprised to your Shutterstock video earnings are only 6 dollars, with the amount of videos.

@JWhyte123 aha.
