- In the first episode of The Golf Show - Mexico, Erik visits wellness resort Chablé which is centered around a natural spring fed cenote hidden in the Mayan city of Mérida on the Yucatán Peninsula. Chablé does well to preserve and honor the spiritual connection that exists between a lost civilization and these hallowed grounds.
Erik also visits Yucatan Country Club and plays Jack Nicklaus designed course, El Jaguar. After learning of the human sacrifices associated with the cenotes, an eerie cloud lingers as Erik continues on his journey.

My parents are from Honduras: seeing you travel to Mexico and attempt to speak Spanish with the locals was amazing and heart warming. As a brown kid raised in the Bronx, golf never connected with me. I started playing 3 years ago and seeing this really really made me emotional and feel like golf can now be called my home

I absolutely adored this video. Played my first game of golf today. 9 holes at my local course. Shot a 17 on a par 5 for my very first hole and I couldn't have possibly had more fun. What a wonderful game.

I've been to Mexico twice but I wasn't into golf then and I stayed at a hotel with one of the best courses in the country. We are the same age Erik bit I've only gravitated towards golf in the last 10 months. Wish it was earlier but I'm inspired by your story and how you have become the voice of golf for many people. I know the tour is a big draw but I would rather watch your content than most tournaments. Looking forward to the rest of the series

I have watched your work, its simply fascinating Erik, I took up golf almost 6 years ago, OCD, as many others, I come from playing and teaching Pro Tennis, the history is incredible, pleasure to enjoy your documentaries, children should be able to enjoy your film making and story telling, first class buddy!!

This is the second course I've seen that utilizes a multi green and tee box combo (I'm sure there are more) I really dig it and I think some really cool courses could be made in the future with this concept in mind. Great interviews and video EAL team! This series is amazing!

Especially in Mexico where then next public course is 4 hours away and incredibly expensive.
