  • Hello!
This is my 1968 Hammond B-3 organ with two Leslie 122 speakers. I hope you like the song and especially sound of my red-cap B-3. Feel free to comment, even though this video was taken some 5 yrs ago. I really appreciate all your comments, maybe I'll post another B-3 vid some day!

My goodness. It never ceases to amaze me at how these organ players can pump that base line and accompany themselves playing solo's and melodies. It's stunning to me. Very fine performer in this video and its obvious he has worked very hard at creating such a great sound. More videos please.

We need proof you’re still with us bro, post a vid🖤

I always think anyone who can play the foot pedals so slick as well as two manuals all at the same time... has two brains.

On the B-3, all the pitches from the generator are available on the manuals; a limited range are available on the pedals. The manual drawbars are normally set up so that the pitch of the lowest key is an octave above that of the lowest pedal. (RT series Hammonds have additional generators that allow the pedals to play lower octaves). This gentleman is playing full bass lines on the pedals - many players mainly use their left hands for bass lines and the pedals only for accents.

if you came to this video and disliked it you should be banned from youtube. this was a very good example of how one of these legendary instruments sounds. doesn't matter what type of music you like, you can't deny that this thing sounds awesome.

Man...You got some chops dude....Im a drummer and man, its been so long since I heard a groove like you played. Back in the day, it was a riot to work with a B3 and a cat who could make it talk.
Thanks for posting ...sure brought back some great memories.

The B3 Leslie will always have a special place in rock's heart. It was designed for gospel and it never occurred to the designers it might be the coolest sound for that Rock 'n Roll thing...

OMG...you are amazing..i watched and listened to your clip perhaps a dozen time this morning...absolutely made my day! after 2 years of looking two weeks ago i found and immediately bought the most pristine..perfect condition 1964 C-3 with a 22H Leslie from the estate of the original owner who had it in her living room since she bought it...it looks and sounds exactly like a 122 but only 1 speed motor (stop/tremolo)..thanks for your clip...huge inspiration to me.

Nothing beats a B3 with a Leslie122. The tonality can not be matched. Of course one needs the talent to make it work. I worked with an artist in a recording studio
years ago. I swear he made that Leslie walk across the floor. I checked later. It was still there. You got it... The best I have heard in years. Thank you
