CELERY JUICE 3-5 times saved me from the aura.I have not had it since! Preferably organic celery. I used to get aura attacks weekly, and after I discovered celery juice Im 100 % fine. If too many days passes between my juices I may start to get pre warnings, I then drink a full glass and it goes right away! It does not always help against migraine, but the aura is gone!

My symptoms, first an aura, then odd speech, followed by numb fingers, mouth and throat, once the aura has passed I then get a bad headache for about 2 hours followed by a movement headache over the next 2 days, no idea what causes them but I usually get them on weekends.

I’ve had 4 over the past 4 year. I usually notice I can’t focus on something visually then the aura comes. Then zig zags bright lights with the photophobia. Then the terrible pressure comes. I feel fatigued and weak for the rest of the day. I find that if I take Tylenol or ibuprofen during the aura stage the actually headache isn’t to terrible. Actually had one a couple hours ago at work and goddam it was terrible. 😔

Im so glad you mentioned pregnancy. I've had headaches all this pregnancy, but now at 31 weeks started getting these visual disturbances. I thought it was my blood pressure but it wasn't, so then I think im dying lol but they've been coming almost every other day, not always with a headache. Seeing my eye dr in a few days just to get checked out.

I had really bad headaches during my teens up to my early twenties. The headaches stopped and I started getting the auras without pain about 15 years ago. I get the blind spots first then the aura would start and last about 15 to 30 minutes. Thank you for this helpful information.

I have the aura's also without pain. But I have a lot of discomfort in seeing/watching in general all the time.. This is very stressing for my overall head/system. I think I should avoid reading and watching which demands focus (watching) as much as possible. I think that watching tv and reading on pc gives most stress and aura's..

Had my first hemiplegic migraine when I was 12. This was in the early 90s and there wasn't a lot of info. I was put through tests and it was assumed I had seizures due to confusion, weakness, and saying incorrect words. I was diagnosed right after I had my son when I was 22 because I was getting them several times a week and couldn't function. I'm now 41 and it's guaranteed I have at least one per month around my period.
They are scary and exhausting. This last one I ended up with a headache from Monday afternoon until Thursday morning this past week. I'm still exhausted from it.

I’ve just had smile and results are great, as my doctor says. But, I’m concerned as I was immediately prescribed +0,5 glasses for long computer sessions day after operation. I got worried at first, but I mentioned that everyone left their appointment with those prescriptions, so it got me thinking that this is just a part of the system. Is it so? Should I get them for real?
Your videos are great and they’ve made me worry less about halos and not a 1 result during an eye check day after smile ( I can only see 0,9 right now, but I hope it will improve)
    Thank you!

I wish I'd had you as my optometrist...
I told mine for years about the flashing in my eyes. They kept saying it was migraine aura or other (not important) causes.
My Retinitis Pigmentosa was missed for almost 10 years... I know that going blind could be an inevitability, but I would have preferred to have had the knowledge of my issues sooner.
I think I've said it before, but thank you for doing these videos. 🖤

I started getting migraines when I went thru menopause in my early 50s. I got my first migraine aura the other day (62 yrs old). It was scary because I recently had cataract surgery followed by a retinal tear that was repaired via laser treatment. At first I thought it was a floater from another tear, but I contacted a friend who has migraines and she told me about migraine auras. It was a very strange experience, but I’ll be better prepared the next time I get one.

Mine, too, started around 12(hormonal changes). Ocular migraines at that age are frightening! Get them infrequently
    (fortunately)
mainly during high stress periods in life. Sometimes the aura is more disconcerting than the headache. Headache pain lessened with age(am 60).
    Stay well✨

Good video. Mine started around 12-13 with massive migraine pain afterwards and light sensitivity. Only happened a few times and I don't remember any between 16 and 42 when they started again but with bearable pain mediated with a Motrin. For me they're infrequent with no pattern. I believe my trigger to be sinus or ear congestion. The abnormal pressure appears to press against a nerve or vein thereby starting a chain reaction somehow/somewhere and off we go. It's always the same sequence which lasts around 15 minutes and I usually experience a mild warming sensation around the eye socket once the aura has "passed behind" me and the transition to headache occurs. Of special note is that my vision always seems to be so much clearer for a while once the aura has passed.

PSA: There's other kinds of auras! I get visual auras sometimes but most of the time its a Language aura (i guess the migraine hits Wernicke's area or something) where my ability to understand written and spoken language slows to a crawl. Sudden onset dyslexia, and sentences lose their meaning (like, I recognize they are WORDS but my brain can't glean meaning from it... Like if you heard someone saying a sentence full of real words but in a nonsense order). It's very weird.

I've been very curious about these migraines since my first one when I was 17 (26 now), particular around what exactly causes them. I was wondering if you had more knowledge about exactly what is happening in the visual cortex. You mentioned we know it's a chemical or electrical wave that crosses the visual cortex... How exactly do we know this, and do we know why?

Listening to this version, I am growing ever more confused. I had a very vivid jagged arc aura. My experience was so vivid and alarming, that all the attempts at graphically replicating them are un-whelming in comparison. Your description of the lead up to the ocular migraine, is my normal permanent state - physical and attitude - but I can at least account for the cause of attitude. My visions were painless. But the idea that brain-fog might be associated is interesting, because I have such times as well as symptoms like neuropathy, which some say can be associated. I will never know, cannot prove one way or other, especially with the shoddy delinquent medical support available here. So I just claim to have had two very vivid episodes of aura. Do I suffer migraines? or not. I will probably never know.

I had a migraine for 7 days straight. Then dr. Gave me topamax and it made me feel like I was floating on a cloud and really bad tingles from head to toe. So he told me to stop taking it. But I have had tingles for almost a month now. Mostly in my legs. I also suffer with restless leg too. I’m scared. I cant even work bc my legs tingle and hurt so bad to where I couldn’t walk . I go to a nerve dr. Tomorrow. I don’t know what’s causing all this stuff going on with my body. I got blood work done and everything came bk fine. I also have anxiety too. I hope to god it’s just from migraines. But the tingles are 24/7. Has anyone else had these?

CELERY JUICE 3-5 times saved me from the aura.I have not had it since! Preferably organic celery. I used to get aura attacks weekly, and after I discovered celery juice Im 100 % fine. If too many days passes between my juices I may start to get pre warnings, I then drink a full glass and it goes right away! It does not always help against migraine, but the aura is gone thank God

I have had the aura visual about once a month since I was 15 years old and I am now 72. They used to be followed by a tremendous headache that ended with nausea, but after I was about 30 years old, luckily, I just get the aura. Mine starts with a blind spot on the right side of my vision and shortly afterward becomes bright geometric lights , like shimmering bright triangles. They slowly traverse from the bottom right side of my eyes upwards to the top and then they after 20 to 30 minutes disappear. I don't know if I am deficient in something to cause this.

Just had 6 auras in 1 night, diagnosed with Complex Migraine at the hospital. I had a moment of severe confusion and sudden memory loss just an hour prior to the 1st aura. I had one the day before, and now 2 days after. So sick of these things. I don't care about the auras much, but the memory loss I experienced was scary as hell. For those that don't know, having covid can significantly worsen migraines for migraine sufferers. I just got over it (still have some residual symptoms like weird taste, sinuses and coughs here and there.) My auras have been going on for years but NEVER 6 in a day. So I believe severe stress and covid definitely kick these bast@rds into high gear.
Triggers have always been: screen use too long, catching a bright glare, hormones and weather fronts.

Shown this cure over 20 years ago , works in 2 minutes everytime without fail. Use both hands 1 for each eye. put your 1st 2 finger tips together and place on the edge of the eye with 1 finger tip on your temple the other just inside your socket so you feel the bony rim between your finger tips. [Don't let them part]. Push firmly both thumbs up under your jaw missing your jaw bone. Your thumbs fit snugly like its meant to be. Wiggle and lightly massage your fingers for about 15 seconds . Take your hands away and do it again. Bye bye ocular migraine in about 2 minutes.

There are a number of different herbs and supplements you can take. I use Magnesium Bisglycinate TRACS chelate. I take about 800 mgs when mine come on. Also, I've always drank lots of orange juice, banana, and brocolli. I've always linked it to not only poor nutrition (processed food). but also a decrease in potassium and magnesium. I hope this helps.

My tablets are 200mg. The Last episode I had was so severe that I took 3. I'm not suggesting you take that much. You probably could get by with one. After taking one, the aura should start tapering off. If it doesn't, then drink orange juice, eat a banana, or eat some brocolli. I just know this is what helps me. I also take anxiety medicine - which helps greatly. You may want to discuss alternatives with an eye care neurologist. Everyone's situation is different. Someone on TH-cam let me know about the magnesium, and said if would take it, that I wouldn't have to be bothered with auras anymore. So far - so good. I take 200 mgs everyday. They do help me, greatly! I hope these suggestions help.

Good video but please don't call the aura symptom "retinal" or "optical" migraines, they aren't. If it's in both eyes its in the visual cortex of the brain. In a single eye it will likely be a dark spot (scotoma) or maybe bright spot. Potentially more serious, get advice if it happens.
Suffered aura a few times a year then suddenly this year ten in six weeks. GP increased Propranolol dosage but this caused crazy scintillation in both eyes. Looked online and tried 400mg Vitamin B2 daily - no migraines for six weeks, I'd urge anyone to try this, it is very safe (and recommended by NICE in the UK)
