Oh fer cryin' out loud... they didn't "forget", they just agreed that the rainbow sakura tree was a sweeter and more original gift than scarf number eleventy-thousand out of all the scarves given in anime. I kinda have to agree with them, not gonna lie

Natsus Scarf saved his life.
129das doesn't make it any more original of a gift. Natsu actually put in the effort to find a beautiful rainbow sakura tree, pluck it out of the ground, put it on a boat, and send it down the river past a sick Lucy's house so she could feel better. That is really super sweet of him!
It's is still more of a beautiful gift, then that tree and I am not just saying that, because this was sappier then all of the cheesy romance novels in this world COMBINED or due to the fact that I can not stand Lucy ever since the stunt she pulled after the Tartaros Arc. I tried not to be upset, but that was a bigger betrayal to me, then any knife to the gut!
It is the thought that counts. This scarf not only saved Natsus hide but was a bigger comfort to him in lonely nights than the Sakura tree was to Lucy and Igneel knew that he was going to have to leave eventually! It holds way more meaning then this tree!
Seriously...anyone who remotely knows Fairy Tail gets that. Forget the care and love that comforted Natsu in the long run! A guy who suffered more than enough! Let's crater to a girl who can not give back when it truly matters and where it is certainly not beyond her abilities!

I loved how Italy was given an iron cross by Germany in hetalia and how Switzerland (who hates spending money!!) went and bought his little sister a ribbon for her hair after she was confused for a little boy!!! Both gifts were so sweet!!!

I actually cried when Hiyori made Yato the shrine! Noragami is such an amazing anime and deserves more appreciation (and seasons!!)

Methinks Natsu's scarf from Fairy Tail should have at least gotten a mention. But, I do agree with Assassination Classroom. I bawled like a baby at the finale.
I think the number 1 should've been the gift of friendship and family that happens to everyone in Fairy Tail. I mean, they've taken in orphans (Gray, Erza, Natsu, Lucy, etc.), people from other guilds whether they used to be enemies or not (Wendy, Gajeel, Juvia). As a Gruvia fan I would've said the scarf that Juvia made for Gray but I'd be wrong because the gift of friendship is way more valuable

I'm a big fan of Fairy Tail but that's the dumbest thing I've seen in these comments. It was right for Noragami to be number 1, if you actually watch the series you'll end up crying. The scarf that Juvia gave Gray was cute, but that was a filler and it didn't make any difference to the plot. In Noragami, Yato always wanted a shrine but everyone kept saying he didn't need one. He wasn't a famous God, barely anyone knew him so he needed to know that there were still people who cared for him. As a big Hiyori x Yato shipper, I thought it was so sweet for Hiyori to give Yato that shrine, even if it was tiny. He also got really excited about being a real god and being able to do things he couldn't do before. Of course, Hiyori isn't the only human who knows that God, but Yato really cares for Hiyori and Hiyori really cares for Yato. It's different to the one-sided love Juvia and Gray had, then suddenly Gray starts to get used to Juvia and have feelings for her. That isn't love. That's called crappy writing. I'm more of a Zeref x Mavis shipper
Oh, and the power of friendship thing is the one thing I don't like about Fairy Tail. I love the show though since it was my first anime and I kept watching it over and over.
I love how Robyn just has that tone of "Why must I do this shit!" at the end!

Well to each their own. Honestly I have trouble deciding between mikan and chiaki with who I ship hajime with though if I was a self insert fanfic writer I'd always ship myself with chiaki.
I like her because she is a lot like me in we both like video games we both have relatively low energy and I often find my self taking naps mid day as well and honestly I don't know what it is but I like the way she just looks in general to be fair if I was into guys ship myself with it would be either nagito or gundam. (Still in my opinion hiyoko saionji is just the worst followed by kazuichi soda)

I got excited at first, but then I saw it was the anime adaptation of the first game. I couldn't make it past a single episode of the show after watching a full LP; it's just too condensed.

I haven't watched Fairy Tale in a long time, but from what I remember, they barely put any importance on the scarf... Not that it wasn't important, but they didn't convey it very well. All I remember about it is that Igneel gave it to him, and then later it got corrupted by Zeref's power for a little bit. And I watched up until sometime in the middle of the END arc... Even if they made it more important after that, it just isn't on the same level as Luffy's Straw Hat, because that was important early on and stayed that way.
No matter how hard I try to not cry I always do when I think of Sachi's gift to Kirito.... right in the feels

One of the very first things Korosensei says in the anime is how he was born and raised on earth. It's presented like a throwaway gag, but it makes pretty clear that he used to be human if you consider the opening scene in addition. So this would by no means be considered a spoiler.
This was a great list. I'm so glad Noragami got the #1! Of course everyone is going to have their own ideas based on their favorite anime. For example, I thought of Aquarius's key from Fairy Tail. It was a gift to Lucy from her mother. That key was one of her first for being a Celestial Wizard, as well as Aquarius helped save Fairy Tail by sacrificing her key so Lucy could call the Celestial King.
Koro-sensei: Still more relatable than any character in Clannad.

I couldn't agree more! Hiyori giving Yato that shrine brought me to tears when I watched it! I've seen a lot of anime, but that had to be the most heartfelt and thoughtful gift ever given. It just shows how much she cares for him, especially after everything they went through. And to me, that's the most beautiful thing in the world, knowing that someone cares that deeply for you.

The one I would have thought would be suitable would be the Millennium Puzzle from Yu-Gi-Oh!. This item was given to the main character by his grandfather in hopes he could not only solve it but to also get a wish that he desires, as the inscriptions on the box the puzzle came in described either massive power or a single wish. The main character completed the puzzle after many years, having suffered bullying and generally life throwing him curve-balls due to his height and shy attitude. Upon completing it, he wish for a dear friend, to which the puzzle not only helped him gain three lifelong friends... But also one other friend who resided in the puzzle itself, whom led the main character to not only grow as a duellist but as a person.
