Fun Fact About Me: My current boyfriend found out I liked him (after years of a one sided love for my childhood friend), he was super embarrassed about not noticing before. so the next few days we didn't talk, then he shows up at school with a freaking rose. a dang suit shirt. and then gets super flustered and confused when I asked him why. he mumbled and stumbled over words. then yelled equivalent exchange so loudly it attracted attention from the entire classroom we were in. I bust out laughing and now we've been in a relationship for over a year :) My cute anime-real-life-story
I’m not gonna lie, I came here looking for Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I still can’t get over the family picture at the end of the last episode! Ed and his son look adorable with their goofy smiles XD
I haven't even watched Angel Beats and I cry for the ending. (I do plan on watching soon). That and Maes Hughes' funeral are the only anime scenes that have made me actually cry.
After my comment, I went ahead and watched Angel Beats over a 4 day period. The ending hit me HARDER with context. And I nearly cried for the Yui/Hinata scene, too.
I'm not even sure what it was, but something was missing for me in that ending. I think it was more that I didn't feel attached enough to the characters. If it was twice as long, it would have hit so much harder. It was emotional, but it didn't hit as hard. Then again, I watched Angel Beats right after Clannad and Ano Hana (because I guess I hated myself) so maybe I was emotionally depleted.
i remember putting off the show at episode three i was like lol ill never get to the ending its gonna take forever it's so boring, just like a typical shone. and then the plot kicks off and i finished all episodes two days and cried over the ending CAUSE IT WAS OVER.
Edward Elric Personally I liked FMAB much better because it had a complete ending, it was funny and it was animated very well. I like them both but I like brotherhood better.
Ian Adams Um the original had a complete ending too and are you saying the original wasn't funny at all or animated good? All your reasons for liking brotherhood more are dumb/invalid
minccinostopaz I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought OHSHC had a perfect ending. Even though they didn't kiss I could tell how much they cared about each other.
minccinostopaz i know, right?! but if a season 2 comes out, i REALLY wish that Haruhi and Tamaki will get together, with some Hikaru romance going around!
NOTE FROM EDITOR: Lelouche's death maybe left to interpretation, but the writers of the show and the director fully accept his death as the logical end to Code Geass. We here at Anime America agree with them and truly believe that Lelouch is dead. You all can think what you want, but we believe that he is dead. Thats our opinion.
"Mustang is left blind" Eh, wasn't Dr. Marco gonna use his philospher stone to fix Mustang's eyes? For the sake of the Ishbalans or something...? Because he vowed to make Amestris great again? (#VoteMustang)
NOTE FROM EDITOR: That scene you all keep showing us from the "Japanese release" of Code Geass's ending is fake. Whether you want to believe it or not, Lelouch is dead.
Thats what they decided now, however if they decide to make sequel they will revive Lelouch, they just don't want any fanmade stories that would steal their idea
Also Death Note had a different ending that was revealed to be the backfire ending in it's 10th Anniversary release where Light (Kira) didn't officially die, but became a shimagami himself. Kill la Kill is getting a season 2 in 2015/16 for the remaining chapters of the manga, so it's not over. And why is there no entry to the DB genre ... i can understand why GT didn't make the list, but what about classic or Z.
+AJ does Minecraft Feels maybe... But, wow, that ending ran on no logic or setup whatsoever. And this video literally has no idea what it's talking about. No, it wasn't planned from the beginning: it was planned 4 episodes ago, and most of the series is devoted to Lelouch being blindsided by everything. What Lelouch did wasn't a good plan, he was just being self-centered, and overly theatrical. He could have simply stopped Schneizel, and then not been evil. Or stepped down. But he did this instead, for no reason that the anime could be bothered to show. Instead, it pretends it's a happy ending and Lelouch did it all for good reasons, rather than showing us the Lelouch of only a few episodes ago, who didn't want to live anymore, and happily sacrificed hundreds of Britannian soldiers to end it all in the craziest way possible, only to fail. And this is the same Lelouch who blames himself for Euphemia, for Shirley, for Rolo, who nearly became a drug addict because reality was too much for him. It just... Feels like the ending they gave us was Lelouch lying to everyone... even himself.
Elias Johnson I totally agree! He did all the bad things just to make a peaceful world where NANALI COULD LIVE HAPPILY (ok maybe not so much since her brother, Lelouch died) FOREVER! He devoted himself for his sister! DID ALL THAT FOR HIS SISTER! For me, Lelouch was a great person overall. Ok, I'm gonna stop now, cause I'm gonna cry if I continue, since the feels and plus I'm emotional. LOL
Thing being, Lelouch isn't a simple, one-note character, and that's where his strength lies. He's not just "a good person" or "a bad person". He's an *emotional* person. He does good things, and bad things, and he's thoroughly invested whichever he's doing. He wants his sister and friends to be happy, but he also wants revenge, and the shows us why he's angry, and why he's justified. Hell, his confrontation with Euphemia should make that blatantly obvious - she was doing what she thought was best for Nunnally, and he was the one just acting in his own interests. Zero's confrontation with Nunnally in early R2, and the entire episode afterwards, showing Lelouch's breakdown in intimate detail, shows that he's both complicated, and very much twisted. Considering all that's happened, Lelouch can't have made that plan beforehand, and wouldn't have. Yes, he wanted her to be happy, but his death would never achieve that. The Lelouch of R1 would never have chosen to leave Nunnally alone. The Lelouch of R2 wanted all his friends to be happy together. The ending's Lelouch... well, he wasn't much like that at all.
It was mentioned, but not specifically chosen. It was only brought up because Gainax tends to make memorably good and bad endings. The infamous one from Gainax goes to Panty and Stocking.
It had a WTF ending, but it wasn't too WTF to be featured. Its ending was kind of a downer, not a complete buzzkill. But I personally would have preferred if the series ended after the battle with the Anti-Spirals. would have made way more sense and more satisfying that way
Fruits basket was so sad!!!! Like I said in the other endings in anime I HATE it when animes end. It's too sad and endings haunt me for months and months.
+Xiuying Mancini did did you actually watch it???? Momiji's deep sadness because his mother was scared of him to a point that she lost her memory of being his mother, Kisa being bullied, Tohru'story, Kyo's story, the doctor's story (sorry forgot his mang name).... Then the last thing we see is Tohru Kyo and Yuki walking away, without telling us if Tohru will choose either of them!
The saddest part about Code Geass' ending is the fact that everyone (but Nunnally, Kallen and Suzaku) hated him because they didn't know the truth. All of his friends!
In a way, I don't think Lelouch wanted to be lionized. Besides, his friends know the truth and, in the end, that's all what would've mattered to him, how his friends felt.
YES!!! They should have done the ENTIRE MANGA for the Fruits Basket anime! I was shock to have found out how little of the manga was covered in the anime.
YES I was really disappointed with the ending of fruits basket. It wasn't a bad ending, I was just disappointed because it had ended and there was a lot less in it than in the manga
+KwstasMode Dude, humanity ends before One Piece xD It will somehow become an entity in and of itself and keep on going after all humans have died off xD
Holly Dinh Nope xD Well, they're kinda halfway in terms of distance I guess... so at least 700 more episodes seems realistic seeing it like that xD But it will most likely be more, Oda is known for taking detours all the time when he gets a new idea he wants to put in there xD
Holly Dinh Yeah true... took me a very long time to actually give it a go xD watched 170 episodes in 1 year, then I decided to go crazy with it and watched the remaining 530 episodes in 1½ month xD
These are all great, but my personal number one will always be Assassination Classroom. I cried my eyes out for at least an hour. But it was the perfect ending, and tied the show perfectly.
Really Sword art online doesn't even get an honorable mention? that ending is perfect to me at least he finally gets the girl after essentially cheating death twice they end up together and he gets to play a pivotal role in the gaming industry be reviving a dead genere
If SAO had ended after the Aincrad arc, I would probably agree with you, and might even call it my favourite anime (might, still pushing it a little though). That said, the Alfheim arc wasn't entirely terrible, it simply didn't hold a candle to Aincrad is all. Overall SAO was good and the ending was good, but neither were exceptional due to the Alfheim arc. I think SAO would have been best handled if each arc of the novels were made into separate seasons, that is to say, best for the source material. I also have a few bones to pick with the author, but the anime adaptation took the source material at the wrong pace regardless.
#5 I heard that Gainax saved 40% of Gurran Lagann's budget for the final episode to not repeat Evagelion's ending If so they did a remarkable job with Lagann's ending
I haven't seen Angel Beats in over a year, I'd mostly forgotten how it went. When I saw them lined up for their graduation ceremony, every tear-jerking moment came back. I could feel my eyes misting up once more and had to skip to Full Metal to avoid the waterworks.
I am honestly so so happy Yu Yu Hakusho got an honorable mention. During the time when it first ended, I was distraught. I loved this series with all my heart and I still consider it to be one of the best shonen, hell best anime series I've watched and I just absolutely did NOT want it to end. But as time went on, I realized that this series could not have wrapped up any better. Everyone's together again and it's just such a fantastic send off to a series that didn't end up getting dragged on for far too long. I'm actually not sure if Inuyasha Final Act ended up ending the same way as the manga, but if it did, I also agree with that being a good ending. It actually resolved things pretty well, in my opinion. And I didn't feel disappointed, so that's a plus.
I have never watched Baccano, but after hearing about that ending, I will. One thing I love, truly love, in anime, is an ending that never truly ends. I've always hated the feeling that I've seen all there is to really see at the end of an anime, that everything that truly matters is over and there is nothing left. To me, there is no greater ending than "The journey continues"
An ending does not need to be happy. It needs to be satisfying and give the viewers closure to all that was revealed. Also, stories that have open endings can be even more enjyoable, since they leave a lot to the imagination. Those stories are my absolute favourite. Thank you for giving Number one to Baccano for this :3
Princess Tutu is my most fav anime ever and the most recent con I went to in mid 2019 I got to meet Luci Chirstian (the voice of duck). She remembers loving the show and talked about how she appreciated the fans keeping it alive and our dedication. She even said her daughter dressed up as princess tutu. She said she had to handcraft ducks princess tutu necklace version. I even got her to sign some fanart of Duck and Fahkir I had bought. Took about 3 days just to meet her but it was worth it. I will cosplay as Rue in her dress one day for con.
I was wondering the same thing. I had cried my eyes out on and off especially for the movie adaptation. It went something like this--> Watch 15mins > Cry 2 mins > Stop crying and watch 8 mins > Cry for 3 mins > Watch (Rinse and repeat)
I have never cried at the end of an anime before. I was bawling at the end of anohana. I scared my wife because she really hadn't seen me cry. I wouldn't't call perfect in my book, but it ended beautifully.
I totally agree. For the anime, the ending was perfect. It should be on every "scenes in anime that make one cry" list. I mean, come on *spoiler warning* she remembers her wish and is able to pass on, everyones feelings and "sins" (for lack of better word) are out in the open and the conflicts within the group resolve. Everyone is able to properly move on and life continues. "Menma, mitsuketa!" *tears*
I know the people on this channel have issues with it, but I personally loved the Clannad AS ending. After looking up some context from the source, it made a lot more sense. Plus, I needed a happy ending given how that show stabbed me in the heart, took the knife out, let the wound almost heal, and then hit me again, and again, and... you get the picture.
Man..Anime America's mic sure has come a long way, huh??That distant echo is pretty much gone and this channel is that much better for it.I mean,it sounds like they did this using SKYPE.
“Honorable mentions: Haikyu” sooooo glad they got another two seasons after this. Season 2 ending was great but immm soooo glad they brought it back for the shiratorizawa match and the nationals arc
and here I thought I was the only one that loved Baccano! between the interwoven stories, the cast of both immortal and extremely memorable period characters like Jacuzzi, Isaac and Miria... oh, man. Isaac and miria. They could have their own spin off and I'd watch every episode.the ending was great, and the after ending just leaves you with a smile on your face. Even the opening is perfect.
Berserk also had a great ending, it should've been mentioned, at least at the honorable mentions. Poor Griffith finally realized his childhood dream of becoming a powerful king, he makes new exotic friends, and he even gets the girl!
Fullmetal alchemist did have a good ending but ed lost his alchemy i bawled and bawled but then ed proposed and had children roy got his sight back helped heal his friend's spine and it was amazing
Yeah, I was really upset and angry when Ed lost his alchemy, but over time I came to peace with the thought. Now I just want to cry because of the beautiful act for his brother. He didn't make the obvious sacrifice (giving his life for Al) because he knew that it would be very hard for Al and also quite easy for Ed, given their love for each other. So he sarcificed the thing that made him "special". But he says that he was never special, just a normal humal that couldn't even save a little girl... Ok, I'm going to cry again now...;___;
Baccano! might be one of my most favourite anime of all time! I'm so glad that there are people out there that recognize how brilliant it is! I'm so glad that it was ranked at #1!
Sort of...in the cast interviews done for the remastered version Blum basically hints that the finale is the conclusion of Spike's journey. What's the conclusion of a story revolving around a man's life? His death.
I'm actually surprised ToraDora! Was nowhere on this list, in my opinion that ending was absolute perfection, I wont spoil anything but it gave me such closure in an anime and it still remains as my favourite anime of all time.
Same with clannad as, clannad and clannad was the only anime i litterally balled like a baby to, and the ending left good closure, it made me laugh, (and something no anime ever did) it made me cry, and the ending just allowed me that joyful sigh of relief knowing that everything is on a good path for all the characters
You never mentioned in code geass that they left whether he really died or not up to interpretation. They made it so the viewer decide whether he died or not. I really like that. It just leaves us wondering how in depth lalouche planned it out. Especially with the very VERY ending of it.
***** actually the maker was asked and he simply didn't answer. only question they never answered. answered all kinds of stupid fancraft question, but refused to comment on that.
***** Nope, they purposefully set it up so he could have had inherited his fathers code in C's world when he was dying. This would make him immortal and therefore the death would have been faked to everyone but C.C. of there's a lot of hinting at this done by. Lots of things but never said. This is what I like about it. If you think that the ending is ruined by him surviving and a cop out, then he's dead. If you like the cool theory/ not want to see him dead, then he's alive. Everyone wins (exept suzaku)
Anime America, have you considered doing a best of the 80's, 90's, 2000's and '10's animes? Maison Ikkoku finnished so well. Your inclusion of Azumanga Daioh in the 'Top 10 Perfect Endings of Anime' was right the F on! :)
Nojatha It's actually not done. They just stopped producing the anime because it was going to catch up to the manga too quick, and the creator, Yoshihiro Togashi, hasn't created another chapter since last August in 2014 due to medical issues. Although it appears to be almost done with the final or one of the final arcs, it most likely won't start up again for a while. Like, a long while.
+Nojatha You know what's the unofficial name of HunterxHunter? Hiastus x Hiatus: because the author is such a lazy slob that he hardly get a chapter out for SEVERAL YEARS.
I have to say that on Code Geass’s ending, I went “wait, Lelouch isn’t supposed to be dead. He killed a code user meaning he became immortal. If they ignore that then they ignore all that they taught of code and geass users.” So I’m glad they made a movie showing that lelouch really is alive. I personally like the movie. It made a better ending then just the anime ending.
For some reason, my favorite ending is from an anime that pretty much every other fan of anime i have ever talked too, hates! The ending to Zero no Tsukaima... I can't explain why, but i just absolutely love this series! Sure, Louise can be a bit much, but i love Saito's character, and i'm an absolute sucker for happily-ever-after endings, with bonus points if they contain either a wedding or lead characters having children. Not to say a series can't be good and end on a somewhat sad note, but personally, i just need my mushy, mushy ending! I'm a pretty simple guy when it comes to anime...
When I saw Angel Beats, I didn't necessarily cry until the song started to play and the characters left one by one in the ending.. (idk if I'm heartless or I just have a slow reaction to things?)
I never cry during anime or manga. But angel beats definitely got me pretty close to that point. And true, those ending credits where everyone fades out except for otonashi was bitter sweet.
+Caroline Amour After crying I started realizing how none of it would have been possible. Lol. Also how they didn't even let us see the other characters have their happy moments, or let us know what caused them to be unhappy in the first place. Instead we get some random one line about how they all peaceful accepted their fate and are happy now. Really? That's it? Perfect ending my tail. My favorite character was hardly even shown through out the story. Only parts here and there. She was the girl that balanced a broom on her finger. She was so little of a character in the story that I can't remember her name. :D
AvoltageGaming I completely agree. I think it being so short hurt the story and the show itself. They should have made more episodes and dug deeper into the characters instead of focusing only on a select few.
Wtf is this list? It didn't include the best ending evar wit soul eatr an da maka punch dat was soo epik Sadly because this is TH-cam I have to point out the sarcasm
Sir Red I had to skip past the entry in the video because I started crying. That ending hit me way too hard, you can't even mention it around me without tearing up.
+Edward Fye hihi Edward-kun. Sometimes I feel like telling my friends 'I like Edward'(did it strike you in the ball?lol) because they only know Twilight and nothing about anime. It's funny to see their expression..haha
Mangle: First, DEAR GOD UR PROFILE PIC IS BADASS, second, yeah, it was a drug trip, finally, LIKE THIS IF U THINK FNaF SHOULD BE A FRANCHISE AND SHOULD GET AN ANIME XD
7:04 Now I haven't watch Code Geass at all but this plan seems... problematic. (Btw, I don't mind that the main protagonist has died. It's truly the plan itself that I'm questionning). I do get the idea of universaly making everyone hate something so that the world would be happy to see it gone and welcome the change with welcome arm. However, just like you can't make everyone like you, you can't make everyone hate you etheir. Because of this, I feel that if someone try to do the same thing in reel life, it would actually cause more problem then good or at the very least that it would only be a short term solution...
I think Shinsekai Yori is PERFECT for what the author is trying to communicate through his work, and it did that flawlessly. Before the end we all symphasize human and despise the traitor, only to realize who's the real bad guy all along.
I literally silent-squealed (it's 2 a.m. over here so...)
AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! That's so freaking adorable!!!
Books For Life
That is hilariously cute XDXDXDXD
Thanks!
Awww .... You see cute together !
Equivalent exchange?
*squeals*
That's so precious!!
I’m not gonna lie, I came here looking for Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I still can’t get over the family picture at the end of the last episode! Ed and his son look adorable with their goofy smiles XD
TheMightyPancake I just finished the series and it is the best ending and I came here for the same thing... I cried
I cried so hard lolol
The best ending ever :,)
the fmab ending to me is the best happy ending ever
Also Ed’s awkward proposal to Winry was icing on the cake.
No Assasination Classroom? Anywhere? You don't have to agree with me, but you see where I'm coming from, right?
its kinda a wtf ending
Anime Cupcake it wasnt out by then
Anime Cupcake u cant end an anime better than AC
I was hoping it'd be on here..
It was so perfect. Karma's hairstly was amazing. Nagisa is a badass teach. And Koro sensei will always live in our hearts
I came 300 years from the future and let me tell you: One Piece had the most EPIC ending ever.
Jiraiya Hermit Just 300 years? Damn, I was sure it will last longer
Jiraiya Hermit heh I come from 750 years in the future and let me tell you the sequel sucked
In the future did people find better way to masturbate

I come from 2000 in the future to tell you the reboot is twice as long
Her: Angle Beats
Me: F this No **leaves** NO IM NOT DONE WITH IT YET
Angel beats was so sad I cri every time ):
I haven't even watched Angel Beats and I cry for the ending. (I do plan on watching soon). That and Maes Hughes' funeral are the only anime scenes that have made me actually cry.
IKR? I never want to watch a tear jerker anime....because my eyes will swell for a week
After my comment, I went ahead and watched Angel Beats over a 4 day period. The ending hit me HARDER with context. And I nearly cried for the Yui/Hinata scene, too.

umm Code Geass should be number 1.
The definition of a satisfying ending.
OMG you're so right !
It's just THE best ending ever !
My person
FMAB has the worst ending ever...because it ended FMAB.
All good things must come to an end. Let's be glad it ended so well.
Jacob Wilson True. I can't think of a single flaw that show had! It dominates even my most favorite shows!
Its perfect in very other way though... The whole series is really...
Secret Sisters Exactly.
i remember putting off the show at episode three i was like lol ill never get to the ending its gonna take forever it's so boring, just like a typical shone. and then the plot kicks off and i finished all episodes two days and cried over the ending CAUSE IT WAS OVER.
Mustang didn't stay blind, Dr. Marcoh gave him a philosopher stone to get his sight back.
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD!! YEAH!!
You like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood?
COOL!
I KNOW!! :)
I wish that Ouran High School Host Club got on the list. That moment when lady Éclair lets go so that Tamaki can be with Haruhi made me cry.
minccinostopaz I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought OHSHC had a perfect ending. Even though they didn't kiss I could tell how much they cared about each other.
sunny105100 yes I agree the ending is perfect
minccinostopaz OMG SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS. ;-; SO KAWAII.
minccinostopaz i know, right?! but if a season 2 comes out, i REALLY wish that Haruhi and Tamaki will get together, with some Hikaru romance going around!
I know right!!

Having Lelouch be dead seems logical.
happy birthday Megan!
Just a note: There is absolutely NO reason an ending cannot be a giant WTF AND perfect at the same time.
i think it can
"Mustang is left blind"
Eh, wasn't Dr. Marco gonna use his philospher stone to fix Mustang's eyes?
For the sake of the Ishbalans or something...? Because he vowed to make Amestris great again? (#VoteMustang)
AND MAKE ALL FEMALE OFFICERS WEAR TINY MINISKIRTS! #VoteMustang
yes in the end you see a picture with Roy and Riza and Roy's eyes are back to normal (they don't have that strange color anymore) #VoteMustang
#VoteMustang
Mustang becomes Führer of Amestris after recovering. Grumman goes back to being General. #VoteMustang
NOTE FROM EDITOR:
That scene you all keep showing us from the "Japanese release" of Code Geass's ending is fake. Whether you want to believe it or not, Lelouch is dead.
Knew it!
oh well, there's always the fanfics.........
Thats what they decided now, however if they decide to make sequel they will revive Lelouch, they just don't want any fanmade stories that would steal their idea
I thought it was called Code Ment

Let's face it anime will never give the males who confess there love a break
Code Geass huh...? Brings back so much memories.... 😌😪
Elias Johnson Ikr? The feels though...

even after the warning I still watched and got spoilers why am I so dumb
I've done that a few times don't worry
Erin Jackson I don't mind spoilers
Manga Girl me too.
No Puella Magi Madoka Magica? Oh, okay... I got it...
That show never gets the love it deserves.
Cain Latrani No, it sadly does not.
Well the rebellion movie had a horrible ending so they might be counting that
Bridget Spector True...
Rebellion had a great ending. Terrible, yes, but great.
Cowboy Bebop ending is just depressing. Now who wants to debate wether or not Spike dies in the end?
Hijacked TARDIS he’s alive oh yeah yeah
Dead. Rightfully.
you just had to break my heart with angel beats. Again
Angel beats gave me depression for 3 months...
Wasn't Gurren Lagann also on the WTF ending list?
It was mentioned, but not specifically chosen. It was only brought up because Gainax tends to make memorably good and bad endings. The infamous one from Gainax goes to Panty and Stocking.
Well, an ending can be both perfect and WTF at the same time.
It had a WTF ending, but it wasn't too WTF to be featured. Its ending was kind of a downer, not a complete buzzkill. But I personally would have preferred if the series ended after the battle with the Anti-Spirals. would have made way more sense and more satisfying that way
exactly
Just who the hell do you think I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just finished angel beats. Does anyone need an ocean full of tears? ( ; __ ; )
***** XD
i didnt cry during angel beats but i did with anohana
No, and will never- :D
+goldandvideos MY MOM CRIED A LOT WITH THAT ENDING YES SHE CRIED SO HARD
I already knew what happened so I didn't.
The ending to Inuyasha was amazing!
+P Ciprian it was good :D
@P Ciprian An honorable mention is better that not being on the list at all.
Fruits basket was so sad!!!!
Like I said in the other endings in anime I HATE it when animes end. It's too sad and endings haunt me for months and months.
KYO JUST WANTED TO BE ACCEPTED BY HIS FAMILY!!!!!😩😩😩😩😩😭😭😭😭😭
AnimeIsMyFantasy true... But he was accepted in the end
ikr
Wait... Fruits Basket was sad? What?
+Xiuying Mancini did did you actually watch it???? Momiji's deep sadness because his mother was scared of him to a point that she lost her memory of being his mother, Kisa being bullied, Tohru'story, Kyo's story, the doctor's story (sorry forgot his mang name).... Then the last thing we see is Tohru Kyo and Yuki walking away, without telling us if Tohru will choose either of them!
Angel Beats had a happy ending as far as I could tell, at least since they had that flash forward at the very end of their next life.
another reason Baccano doesn't have a clear cut ending is how over half the cast accidentally become immortal
Thank you so much for including Princess Tutu, it's one of my favorites!!!
The saddest part about Code Geass' ending is the fact that everyone (but Nunnally, Kallen and Suzaku) hated him because they didn't know the truth. All of his friends!
This is si sad😭
In a way, I don't think Lelouch wanted to be lionized. Besides, his friends know the truth and, in the end, that's all what would've mattered to him, how his friends felt.
Nunally knew his plan. When lelouch got stabbed, and he fell right off, nunally touched his hand and knew his plan.
That's why I said '(but Nunally Kallen and Suzaku)'
AGAIN GUYS?! WHY DID YOU MAKE ME CRY AGAIN?! ANGEL BEATS IS THE BEST ENDING I'VE EVER WATCHED, AND I CRIED SO HARD! CURSE YOU GUYS!
The anime deserves the best ending.
@@3ASV311 ?
So no one is going to mention Ouran Highschool Host Club
The anime had a sh*t ending, the manga ending is better
@@glam4663 seriously!
It reminded me of the ending of Smallville.
@@redrazorx-23 No spoilers, haven't seen all of smallville.
@@glam4663 ok i won’t
I feel like Madoka magica at least should have at least been an honorable mention
I'm pretty sure it's movie ruined that chance
+Titilayo Aderemi-Williams yeah
What? I loved the third Movie, it's my favourite movie ever. I know it's an unusual ending, and not exactly happy, but it was cool.
Leilani Vaughan-Williams me too! I loved Rebellion!
If I made this list now, I would put assassination classroom at number 1
TTTIK T.T!!!!!!
TTTIK shouldve been on there
TTTIK tru
TTTIK if you were smart you would know this video was before assassination classroom
TTTIK me too
Should do a list on anime that should be either redone or givin a second season.. like Fruit Basket..
YES!!! They should have done the ENTIRE MANGA for the Fruits Basket anime! I was shock to have found out how little of the manga was covered in the anime.
Yes just yes
darechick0894 For example, high school of the dead and mar?
justsomeguy3612
fighting foodons!
YES I was really disappointed with the ending of fruits basket. It wasn't a bad ending, I was just disappointed because it had ended and there was a lot less in it than in the manga
#1 One piece, oh wait...thats never happening :P
+KwstasMode Dude, humanity ends before One Piece xD It will somehow become an entity in and of itself and keep on going after all humans have died off xD
After more than 700 episodes, they are no closer to finding one piece.
Holly Dinh Nope xD Well, they're kinda halfway in terms of distance I guess... so at least 700 more episodes seems realistic seeing it like that xD But it will most likely be more, Oda is known for taking detours all the time when he gets a new idea he wants to put in there xD
But, eventually people will lose interest and nobody will have enough time to start from episode 1. :(
Holly Dinh Yeah true... took me a very long time to actually give it a go xD watched 170 episodes in 1 year, then I decided to go crazy with it and watched the remaining 530 episodes in 1½ month xD
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING MY FAVORITE ANIME ON THE TOP SPOT!!!!
These are all great, but my personal number one will always be Assassination Classroom. I cried my eyes out for at least an hour. But it was the perfect ending, and tied the show perfectly.
Really Sword art online doesn't even get an honorable mention? that ending is perfect to me at least he finally gets the girl after essentially cheating death twice they end up together and he gets to play a pivotal role in the gaming industry be reviving a dead genere
first season was actually really good and fun but the second one was exaggerated and horrible though.
I actually can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.
kingpiccolo colin hate on SAOII all you want but from a technical point of view it was a great show!
I hate alfeim
#5
I heard that Gainax saved 40% of Gurran Lagann's budget for the final episode to not repeat Evagelion's ending
If so they did a remarkable job with Lagann's ending
OH, NO!! SPOILERS, ONI-CHAN!!
I lost it.
There has been talk about a Card capturer Sakura remake. or a 7 years later anime.
I haven't seen Angel Beats in over a year, I'd mostly forgotten how it went. When I saw them lined up for their graduation ceremony, every tear-jerking moment came back. I could feel my eyes misting up once more and had to skip to Full Metal to avoid the waterworks.
+bloodraven432 exactly the same
Angel beats have a good ending if you watch the after credits, want me to tell you
+Cavemandim has*
+Cavemandim Exactly, people just tend to ignore/forget about that part.
Yeah that part made me cry so much for like ten minutes
And I didn't feel disappointed, so that's a plus.
my top 5 perfect anime with endings
#5-King of the hill
#4-senfield
#3-Cory in the house
#2-John cena experience
#1-Shrek
+Eric Wabie Your forgot Thats So Raven
Ha ha
+Eric Wabie why
+Attikissmybutt CEnA (King Henry VI) why not?
+Eric Wabie shrek is love shrek is life had the best ending
Aw, isn't Anohana an honorable mention?
ShootingStar Molly A certain someone on the show does not like Ano Hana.
AnimeAmericaPodcast Okay c:>
WHY ISNT PEULLA MAGI MAGICA MADOKA NOT ON THIS LIST?!?!?!
“Honorable mentions: Haikyu” sooooo glad they got another two seasons after this. Season 2 ending was great but immm soooo glad they brought it back for the shiratorizawa match and the nationals arc
Did anyone else just skip around to see,the titles without watching the spoilers?
I think Assassination Classroom had a perfect ending. At least for me, I don't knkw what other people think.
same
I'm surprised Madoka Magica's show ending wasn't in honorable mentions
Melon Tart VA well the Movie
and here I thought I was the only one that loved Baccano! between the interwoven stories, the cast of both immortal and extremely memorable period characters like Jacuzzi, Isaac and Miria... oh, man. Isaac and miria. They could have their own spin off and I'd watch every episode.the ending was great, and the after ending just leaves you with a smile on your face. Even the opening is perfect.
Where's your lie in April
Considering its date of release and the date of this video, about half a year in the future. :)
Berserk also had a great ending, it should've been mentioned, at least at the honorable mentions. Poor Griffith finally realized his childhood dream of becoming a powerful king, he makes new exotic friends, and he even gets the girl!
WTF IS THE ENDING
+Splash Ponies I HAVE ALREADY WATCHED
+Supawadee Bumbim I bet Robert has too, that's why he posted the comment
But don't forget what else happened
Its especially great for children.
Fullmetal alchemist did have a good ending but ed lost his alchemy i bawled and bawled but then ed proposed and had children roy got his sight back helped heal his friend's spine and it was amazing
Yeah, I was really upset and angry when Ed lost his alchemy, but over time I came to peace with the thought. Now I just want to cry because of the beautiful act for his brother. He didn't make the obvious sacrifice (giving his life for Al) because he knew that it would be very hard for Al and also quite easy for Ed, given their love for each other. So he sarcificed the thing that made him "special". But he says that he was never special, just a normal humal that couldn't even save a little girl... Ok, I'm going to cry again now...;___;
The feels....! My opinion but FMA was one of the best anime series I've ever seen.
+Brokendoll RIP Nina
watching the angel beats ending again made me cry... AGAIN!!!!!!!
Baccano! might be one of my most favourite anime of all time! I'm so glad that there are people out there that recognize how brilliant it is! I'm so glad that it was ranked at #1!
Wait, was it confirmed that Spike died? I thought they deliberately kept that ambiguous.
+CapeCakez it's Spike, of course he's alive
Sort of...in the cast interviews done for the remastered version Blum basically hints that the finale is the conclusion of Spike's journey.
What's the conclusion of a story revolving around a man's life? His death.
Deadman wonderland was obviously the best ending u wil ever see
Yeah of course it was lol
No shit happened in the ending lol
I'm actually surprised ToraDora! Was nowhere on this list, in my opinion that ending was absolute perfection, I wont spoil anything but it gave me such closure in an anime and it still remains as my favourite anime of all time.
Same with clannad as, clannad and clannad was the only anime i litterally balled like a baby to, and the ending left good closure, it made me laugh, (and something no anime ever did) it made me cry, and the ending just allowed me that joyful sigh of relief knowing that everything is on a good path for all the characters
James White clannad as*
Uberwolf_ I actually did not like Toradora. Hate on me if you want, but it was just a really boring anime.
Dont hate but i just didnt like the ToraDora! Ending...i thought it needed more closure
+Otaku Madness ToraDora is literally Cliche the Animation.
And Clannad is so overrated it hurts.
I hope that the Azumanga daioh girls future just as bright as they made their fans
Code Geass is a masterpiece! The ending's just perfect. Well, the whole story is.
i can see why they didnt put in ouran high-school host club but it could have been there
You never mentioned in code geass that they left whether he really died or not up to interpretation. They made it so the viewer decide whether he died or not. I really like that. It just leaves us wondering how in depth lalouche planned it out. Especially with the very VERY ending of it.
No, he did die.
*****
actually the maker was asked and he simply didn't answer. only question they never answered. answered all kinds of stupid fancraft question, but refused to comment on that.
I think you mean Cowboy Bebop
creepycrepsly77
spike is dead, let him rest
*****
Nope, they purposefully set it up so he could have had inherited his fathers code in C's world when he was dying.
Where is hunterxhunter? Just finished it and I think it left me pretty damn satisfied.
2011 or original?
2011
Nojatha It's actually not done. They just stopped producing the anime because it was going to catch up to the manga too quick, and the creator, Yoshihiro Togashi, hasn't created another chapter since last August in 2014 due to medical issues. Although it appears to be almost done with the final or one of the final arcs, it most likely won't start up again for a while. Like, a long while.
Nojatha The manga just started moving past where the anime "ended".
+Nojatha You know what's the unofficial name of HunterxHunter? Hiastus x Hiatus: because the author is such a lazy slob that he hardly get a chapter out for SEVERAL YEARS.
Geez, once you got to Angel Beats I started crying due to feels.
Also, Otanashi stays in the afterlife, a bit longer. Becomes Class President. And helps other restless souls.
زبيييييييييييييييييييييييييييييييييييييييي
Naoi Ayato Oh really? Was this in the manga?
watch?v=pxm4nqIKaMc
I know it's sooooooo sad
Still confused why Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) isn't on here.
Me too. The ending was wonderful!
+AbbyOtaku Ikr!?!??! Yuno x Yukki
Yes I feel you oh my god I was just thinking about it, #YunoYandere
OH MY GOD I HATED THAT ENDING SO MUCH AHHHHHH
+Krafty TheFox Did you saw the OVA?
***** I really thought they should have had atleast a 26 episode season, but that could just be my desire to see more TK talking.
AvoltageGaming I completely agree. I think it being so short hurt the story and the show itself. They should have made more episodes and dug deeper into the characters instead of focusing only on a select few.
Wtf is this list?
It didn't include the best ending evar wit soul eatr an da maka punch dat was soo epik
Sadly because this is TH-cam I have to point out the sarcasm
Yeah Soul Eater's anime ending sucked. The manga was way better.

The only thing that would of made it better for me would be if they used the modern day Isaac and Miriah scene instead
You can't watch Angle Beats and not cry when it ends.
Sir Red I had to skip past the entry in the video because I started crying. That ending hit me way too hard, you can't even mention it around me without tearing up.

Ava Angelettie Not really, it's not a WTF ending, it's a beautiful ending i gotta say.
Even though Haikyuu isn't over entirely, I'm still very happy that season one at least got an honorable mention for it's ending.

what about sailor stars?
SuperDanielstar The manga ending was a million times better. Sailor Scout vs Sailor Scout and a wedding T^T
+Anime America out of curiosity, whats your opinion on sword art online (1 and 2, sence 2 is a continuation, rather then a season 2.)
+Anime America if you were to do this after parasyte ended would you put it in this list?
+Anime America Let's hope if Crystal makes the Dream and Stars arcs they will have the manga ending
Emilio Valdez YES!
But Mustang gets his sight back...
How? Brotherhood I don't think so. Have to be careful which one you looking into.
You guys should watch the anime Kotoura-san.
It's an AMAZING anime! :D
It's a cute anime, but I wouldn't say amazing. I like My Little Monster and Ouran Host Club better .3.
Your opinion XD
Try watching "When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace" C:
Okay XD watch "My Little Monster" The main character in that show looks like Maka and even my Brother said so XD
And watch "Black Butler"
I heard of those before
I'm just hearing my angel Beats at the end when he says I love you she says thank you I started 2 freaking cry go figure
I feel awkward when I mention my name because of Fullmetal Alchemist and Twilight.
+Edward Fye hihi Edward-kun. Sometimes I feel like telling my friends 'I like Edward'(did it strike you in the ball?lol) because they only know Twilight and nothing about anime. It's funny to see their expression..haha
Echizen Ryomine -_-. VOLTEKKA!
Fffffffff twilight its back why!!!!
+Thunderbolt 123 because some people like it?
Lisa Morono No, because some people think I am a sparkly vampire. Thanks for that one, twilight fangirls.

Ah, Baccano... I had no idea what was going on but it was fun as fuck!
YAAASSSSS BLACK BUTLER BOOK OF CIRCUS WAS AN HONORABLE MENTION!!
I KNEW IT!! BLACK BUTLER!!
I'm confused. I don't see it on here.
When she said Black Butler
At what time?? Just curious
Freed Justine wait...??... Did she mention BB? I don't remember
Karla Ramirez Black Butler Book Of Circus was on the honorable mentions.
where is assassination classroom???
bro baas assassination classroom didn't finish (or start i think) when this vid was released. i personally loved the ending though
I would end most anime with the protagonist, after a long conflict, defeating the antagonist.
Best Ending: POKEMON! It will never end.
What about Your Lie In April
HOW CAN THAT HAVE A PERF ENDING ;-;
have you seen it
- Baeyvn it had a sad but perfect ending in my opinion.
IVE NEVER EVEN WATCHED ANGEL BEATS AND I WAS BAWLING ;-;
Angle beats is a good anime ;-; but the ending doe
LPS Ember You should watch it! It's both hilarious and heartbreaking, with wonderful characters and story.
LPS Ember You should watch it! It's both hilarious and heartbreaking, with wonderful characters and story.
i dont care if it was "planned" i dont like animes where the main character dies at the end. full stop.
ture
Then never be a writer your endings would suck
Not everything ends happily. Anime ain't a fairytale so expect ending like that.
Sapphire so what's your point?
I think Shinsekai Yori is PERFECT for what the author is trying to communicate through his work, and it did that flawlessly.
Before the end we all symphasize human and despise the traitor, only to realize who's the real bad guy all along.
If i got bored on Durarara, should i still watch Baccano?
Oh wait nvm its only 13 eps
16 if you include the OVAs (which you should; plus, they are canon not fillers)
+Truong M Pham oh okay ty anyways
Baccano and Durarara are the same anime...
No, they are not, Baccano is way better
Yeah not sure if troll or not. But since its only 13 eps, i might as well watch it unlike Durarara which have 4 seasons.....
