I felt like this movie had the potential to be so good, but I felt like there was a lot of missed potential, one of them is not seeing Venus and Mars full transformation when the opportunity was right there. They could have made the fights (especially in part 1) a bit better, even if it was trying to stay faithful to the original, I think the first fight with Iron Mouse was the perfect opportunity to showcase the inner senshi's battle abilities before they got killed off kinda like how they defeated the bonbon babies in the beginning of the SuperS movie (Uranus and Neptune could still join in) also the part when the outer senshi went to their castles in their home planets, it was the perfect opportunity to show them transform
I knew exactly what I was gonna get, so I really loved it. Finally we got to see all the manga things that weren't in the 90s anime! Yeah, I wish we got to see more of certain characters or learn more about certain things, but I already knew that wouldn't be the case. Let's be real, most characters of the main cast already had a concluded character developement at the end of Sailor Moon Eternal. And it's important for the plot and Usagi's character developement that they're gone for the majority of the films. As for transformations, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, the Innes and Outers got the short end of the stick, but I think it was a good decision focussing more on the new characters. Like, Galaxia, Kakyuu, Chibi Chibi, even Nyanko... so many characters got a transformation for the first time, which they didn't necessarily need to do. Sailor Moon had several transformations, and one of them even had references to her old ones. So I do think they did a really good job with transformations and attacks in these movies.
@@sailorcat Excellent points about the character developments and the introduction of new transformations. (Chibi Chibi’s everything made my heart sing.) I certainly appreciate the respect given to the original. It just made me so greedy for more! lol
@@drtiakey Lol... I feel you on that if they just had a little scene that was anime only content.
Even my 10 year old sister who hasn’t seen the original sailor stars arc, didn’t like the starlights transformation jn cosmos. When they tap danced she kept saying eww
hahahaha "ew" hahah my favorite response. 🥰
🥰
Love y'alls energy and as a Moonie from 1997, i agree with 95% of everything you gurls said but then y'all have the nerve to talk about the pacing in the movies (which YES, was Very awful) while doing the same with this Review. 😆
HAHA we're doing our best! We've only been on TH-cam for a tiny while - so just learning the ropes. haha. And yessss Original Moonie fan welcome!
I want to appreciate your review but as a fan and like you two claim to be I can’t get past when you refer the Manga as a comic 2 different things, and choosing to call them by English early dub names as well as referring them as scouts instead of sailor guardians 😕 I know just little details…sorry
This movie was just a bunch of blah blah blah blah blah never ending narration. It was just repetitive " seed and stars and the future and never give up," it was actually frustrating and incredibly difficult to finish because all of the dialogue just seemed like nonsense filler
You mean...talking about the star seeds which basically make the plot possible in the first place and "never giving up on the future" which is a theme that's one of the most important ones for this arc considering the future is being destroyed and Cosmos' whole problem was giving up on the future... Yeah for sure my fella, that's filler nonsense. Do yall read the manga or watch the movies with your eyes closed or what
The English dub was horrid. Who approved the honorifics
@@bluekinopio9390 Oh no!!!! They added honorifics to the English?? I've watched the film with subs, so I'll check that out. Sounds horrible!
