  • Brian Joseph Page, a young 16-year-old full of life, mysteriously vanished on January 12th, 1975, after attending a party on State Street in Downtown Salem, Oregon. This case, shrouded in the mists of time, has remained unsolved for decades, leaving a void in the hearts of his family and those who knew him.
    🚗 The Clue: A 1962 Volkswagen Beetle 🚗
Our search centers around Brian's last known mode of transportation, a 1962 Volkswagen Beetle. This crucial piece of evidence could hold the key to unraveling the mystery of his disappearance. As we dive into the depths of the Willamette River, our mission is to locate this vehicle and, hopefully, provide some much-needed answers to Brian's family and friends.

🔍 The Search Begins at Wallace Marine Park 🔍
Our journey starts at Wallace Marine Park, a significant location since it has been the main boat ramp in Salem since Brian's disappearance. With high hopes and advanced sonar technology, we embark on a thorough search of the river, extending from Wallace Marine Park northward to Kaiser Rapids Park. Our experience in uncovering submerged vehicles and finding lost loved ones fuels our optimism for today's search.
The team located three vehicles submerged in the river. Among the vehicles discovered, one appeared to possibly be a Volkswagen Beetle, raising hopes that it might be Brian's car.

Hi all the beetle also could be interchangeable with parts and the one you dragged out the river was White, so could have been swapped out of parts to look like a 66 hmm the rear lights didn't change much from 62 to 67?? I'm sure it's a 62 you pulled out the river not a 66 some had glass tail lights early type only..

Nice to see you two working together. I’m a viewer and am a subscriber. Senior citizen and you will find missing subscriptions from me as we’ve had quite a few old computers bite the dust. I think it’s incredibly sad that so many of your colleagues and subscribers threw you “under the bus” per se, and missed the higher purpose you are and have been working on. What happened in your private life was private. I wish you two the best. You have always worked well together. Thank you for bringing the loneliness of seniors to the attention of everyone. In small towns, where we are, you can usually find out what is going on. In rural & big cities…seniors are invisible and sometimes, I hate to say it…”disposable”. I have seen this and will not go into detail here. Take care of your health, all around, and help each other. Kind regards from Wyoming.

Still do that lol, cops dont know the roads here very well its kind of funny, they get lost all the time. Locals can easily take back roads and just disappear. The even bigger joke of it is not only did I go to college for criminal justice and know all the laws and etc, but I have been trained in police Pursuit driving and how to pitt vehicles and get away. So while I am a law abiding citizen In some cases Im guaranteed to be a better driver than they are.

I know you must be having a rough time right now, and I just wanted to send a word of encouragement to you to let you know that whatever we have to go through, this work must go on. I am amazed that the police were aware of the two cars on the bottom of the river but did not have them removed prior. They seemed like they were down for a while and not sure how the PD knew about them but why not have them pulled out immediately or when safe to do so. Anyone know if this is a regional or department specific thing? In my area, as soon as they would know a vehicle is under water the fire department and dive teams in the area would rig it and have it pulled out and off to salvage yard if not evidence. Keep up the great videos and amazing work.. Be safe always

I'd say the typical reasons for LE inaction in situations such as this, boils down to funding, budgets, lack of suitable gear and knowledge, training. Depending on location could also be not a priority if they don't care. Just my opinion

If David did something to Bryan maybe he drove his VW somewhere and ditched it with Bryan in it, hence why he was trying to steal a car because that one was no longer available to him?

He never left. He was busy building the team, planning future searches, purchasing equipment neccessary to expand into a 2nd and possibly third team, getting larger trailers, having the new trailers wrapped, etc.
He had no one to rely on, so he HAD to do it himself.
Keep in mind, he (foolishly) trusted his employees and had faith they were doing the right things while out on the road.

Hey guys love what ya do it's absolutely beautiful! But I wanna say having a lot of knowledge on old Beetle bugs from the late 60s and 70s, these things rotted fast! It was known that within a year or two of purchase and driving it the floorboards would rot and within id say 2 years you could see road beneath you! Some of them the structure had wood in the framing and body! So the possibility of his Beetle still being intact is extremely low on my opinion! Love ya guys and I keep praying for you guys and for the families of the beloved ones that went missing! Cheers guys!👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️

I am wondering the possibility of if he somehow traveled outside of Oregon that night, since he was under the influence of LSD. He could’ve started having hallucinations while in the car. If he got into an accident across state lines back during that time, somehow survived and made it out of the car. He could’ve wandered around until being stopped by local police and maybe wasn’t able to give his name. He could’ve been listed as a John Doe. I don’t believe that back then police really communicated between states unless it was something major like a serial killer.

We use giant grappling hooks in situations like that or swift moving rivers

One thing I do wanna say and suggest is if you're gonna be searching a car like that (when the trunk was being searched through), I would ALWAYS make sure to wear gloves because you never know what you might grab onto in all of that mud. Better safe than sorry, especially if you end up grabbing onto something you're gonna wish you didn't grab onto.

You all should scan the Columbia River gorge between Washington and Oregon. I've heard that there are tons of cars in there

The river is deceptively powerful right there--it looks calm on the surface, but it is quite deep in some places. I am not at all surprised that a boat could get pulled several hundred yards. Kids swimming in that area get sucked under almost every year unfortunately...they generally do not get found until the Wheatland Ferry area.

All missing persons cases are gut wrenching. But when the missing person. Is that young. It really hits you a little harder. It must be a never ending nightmare. For the family. And the unanswered questions are even worse. Sorry to hear. That his mother didn't get to see the resolution. In her son's disappearance.

There was no such thing as a VW Beetle in 1962. I owned a 1963 sedan which was nick-named “Bug” by the American public when it was imported after the war. So far as I know “the people’s wagon” only made one model at a time starting circa WWII and it was easy to repair and maintain.
“Bug” was not a compliment, initially, but was so apt and later popularized in the “Love Bug,” Disney movie, that VW introduced a bigger sedan years later called “Beetle.” The two names are not interchangeable, evoking completely different feelings.
My first experience driving an electric car was in the 1970’s when my 63 Bug’s clutch cable broke, and I drove it home using the battery each time I had a red light or Stop sign.
