I think people can blindly follow a formula and realise nothing suits them. THANK YOU TRINNY. I had to medically retire 3 years ago due to a deteriorating disability. I’ve never bought so many clothes since I retired! And yet I get stuck with these lovely clothes in my wardrobe thinking “I’m not going anywhere there’s no point in wearing that”. But when I do I feel so much better. Now I’ve heard this I’m Going to look for a sparkly / sequin/ shimmery top. I need comfort too and that top looks like it has both comfort and glamour xxxx
Usually I just don’t bother watching a capsule wardrobe video because they are so boring, the colour palette used is so dull. But not with you Trinny. Sparkles, shiny, neon love them all. Going to an afternoon tea next week and trying to find courage to wear my sequin blazer as everyone else that I know dresses safely😌

I so hope that you are right about oversize having become a classic, if only because that means I can get coats that fit over sleeves, any sleeves, so I can keep cycling comfortably. I love it that increasingly “capsule wardrobe” means pieces that are essential to the wearer and not some assumed neutrality and or classic quality. You are essential to that shift.

"Dress with passion" I love that. NYC fashion has changed so much. Even in Spring if its 50 degrees out you will see majority wearing puffers and black shoes/sneakers. I never feel inspired when I commute and see how people dress these days. I understand times are tough but theres always ways to be creative with the budget and rework what we always had. Either stylish folks all WFH now or they migrated south for good..

Someone told me at work "this is dress down" I was wearing the H&M knit dress in bright🧡 but I had added a high neck shear top with long sleeves in the same colour with knee high brown boots, I replied to the comment this is me dress down I was in a bright colour that just lifts my mood this has become my most used colour 🧡🧡🧡🧡I try to incorporate it in my outfits for work as much as possible is it possible you can show different ways to wear orange in all its shades have been teaming it with grey, khaki beige is their other colours that compliment such a versatile colour as always Trinny you inspire to create stay blessed always 🙏🏼

I love these looks. I live in Texas, and layering 4 tops, is not possible, due to the heat. We can go from low 50’s in morning to 90’s in afternoon. Any suggestions for hotter weather?
Love all the looks but 67 still getting hot flashes started at 45 just lost my mom she lived a great life till 91 but still had hot flashes thanks mom and I have them all day all night so have to have a short sleeve top under what ever so I can strip down fast. Even in the winter so limits to my choices .Going back to sewing as cannot find any fun stuff and on a budget. Wish me luck been 25 years since I sewed any clothes .So hope create some of those great looks and not be Hot! Except maybe a hot Look!
Thanks Trinny, love your colourful capsule. I have a tiny wardrobe so at the moment got the lounge wear/ gym wear for every day. When I go out 20 jumpers including colourful and neutral, two dresses, three skirts, two pairs of trousers, five pairs of jeans. 14 basic tops that can be dressed up or down. I interchange the coats, jackets, blazers, handbags and shoes. As soon as the weather is warmer I put the colourful dresses in and store my jumpers under my bed. Point is everything pretty much matches.
I think of whatever we use daily as another part of our capsule wardrobe, so for me that includes boring things like shopping totes. I have one from Susan Bijl (from Rotterdam, but they have a great website) that has made every outfit pop more and looks as good now after two years of daily use as it did when I bought it. The colours are incredible and they are now making some metallics too that I'm considering for a second bag. I keep my wardrobe pretty capsule sized, so I found a great tote a cost-effective way for me to inject some bold colour and fun (cost per wear is probably 3c (Euro) already).
Would love a CC for hot weather climates. I live in Houston and layering is suffocating most of the year. I want to look professional and fun as my job is a creative one. Any ideas?

I had this aha moment when decluttering my wardrobe today. I wanted something to wear over a thin strapped long yellow dress. I have this long jacket that has several colours on including yellow. It was the perfect solution and I've never worn it, now I will. I'm learning allot from your videos.

Lightbulb moment....I lived my whole life in ski pants/skinny leggings/ski boots/moon boots. I never had the "flare" jean moment. It totally missed me. When I put hip hugger/wide flare jeans with kitten heels I feel like giggling....It's personal isn't it. With so many "methods" of wearing jeans it's is whatever makes you feel modern and fun!!! I want to look good (and as fresh as possible) when I get there but I always look like a wrinkled badger coming out of a cave. I also work nightshifts which makes me look a bit like the walking dead sadly. Any advice?
