I think the primary issue with this game was items, I don't think I saw a ghost team which is the only reason I'd put a fluffy tail on your carry like that, punching glove would've out in a LOT of work with the attack speed buff from infernapes ability. That or blue orb + polynomicon or something. Also more damage items instead of defense items in general since fighting already handles the defensive aspect, maybe.
I agree with the fact that I maybe should have build more offensive items, but Fluffy Tail is still really good, because of paralysis in grass, poison in poison, confusion and charm in water. The Water teams just had too much burst damage and my team got outscaled. At this stage Fighting 8 is supposed to lose against water 9
