Considering you're going to be releasing this game to an audience that's mostly just little kids, there needs to be something that hooks the people playing for the first time. The map when you get into the game does a great job of doing that, but i have a few qualms. From the beginning at 1:01 , while the user interface is functional, it's not really something I would want to see more of because it's not really pleasing to me visually. In addition, it would also be nice if the character you're talking with at the bottom left were a actual character you could have pop up with their own dialogue box whenever you click on a button to get more information about what a game mechanic does, instead of it just being a silhouette named TheRandomGuy who the player probably won't be seeing much of. The font used isn't really pleasing for someone like me to read, so it would be great if you could use the font used at the top of the screen with the "Skip Tutorial" button, and possibly reconfigure what the text box at the bottom looks like. The buttons could also be made bigger!! 1:24 - 2:13 - the information being presented is nice to have, but it's a little too much to be given when you play the game for the first time haha. I like, though, that you've made it easier for players to create teams by already having those classes explained to you!!! I hope there is a way to check what the classes do via a button or icon like what anime vanguards is doing with its element system!! 2:15 - the screen feels a little bare, so maybe increasing the ui size, or letting it be adjustable could be a nice fix. Also, this is me nitpicking, but the arrows on the ground aren't very high quality 2:22 - 3:23 - there's too much information, and, with characters that you won't be going much detail into building like you would in Anime Champions simulator, it might start to feel overwhelming as more characters get added, especially if each character that comes out had their own, completely unique stats which you need to take into account when building them. I don't find the user interface to have much harmony, whether it's with the framing around the edges, or the font used at the bottom with the tutorial when compared to the font used for everything else 4:06 - 4:26 the map is too neon like many other games on the market, so you could definitely profit off of this by creating a lobby inspired by many of the maps added into the game. I think that, if you were to include different buildings from the story or raid maps into the lobby, finding a way to turn them into one seamless piece, you'll make it look much better!!! 4:27 - the user interface feels chaotic 4:58 - this reminds me of Anime Last Stand's ui which could look good if you follow through with that vibe wholeheartedly!!! From now on, you'll see me asking questions as a way to express any concerns i have about the game as i continue watching it. Why are not all of the borders for the boxes you open animated? Why does vip only give you a 10% discount, and why are there two different vip gamepasses? Anime reborn doesn't have a 2x speed gamepass, and i don't think you'd need one, either, if you were to make the game more fast paced. On that point, it annoys me that many quality-of-life features locked behind a paywall. Advertising things you're able to buy makes the game seem as if you'll need them in order to have a good time. Also, there are anime characters placed around the map randomly, but none of the anime-esque aspects are carried over!!! The buttons you press in order to either buy more currency or luck potions are a little too big compared to the buttons you press to single or multi summon. Why does the summoning ui look so chaotic? I know you probably hired a lot of people to work on different parts of this game, so it would be really cool if you could have the person who made the Anime Champions Simulator game work on the animations for this game, since the two look so similar!!! That's all i have to say, Mr. Toad!!! I know you're really busy, and that coming up with perfect features for a game will cost a lot of money, which really isn't ideal when you're already kind of struggling financially, but i really hope this game ends up being successful on release!!!
As for the map, if you would like to keep the same neon-style thing you have going on, please look the Anime Champions Simulator game. For any ui-related work, please take inspiration from Anime Vanguards, and, for any quality-of-life changes, please use anime reborn as much as possible.
Toad I love your vids and I’ve been supporting a LONG time and the game concept is amazing, really. But out of my respect towards you I will be honest, the game was delivered terribly. But this doesn’t mean it will fail, you can revamp it by suggestions from the community, take ideas from your players and implement what the majority likes into the game and hey maybe it’ll be better.
The unit concept sounds really cool, but other than that, It's basically just another AA re-skin, with neon lobby/content/identical battle pass/item frames. Seen and played too many after the fall of AA, and I'm sick of it. Hell, looking at the game passes, it looks even worse. I need to pay to see my enemy 'battle power' or 'threat'. Not sure what they could be, but QoL information behind a paywall seems kinda ridiculous. The UI and unit rolling animation also could have some improvement...
