Second they don’t have traps or quick effects so you can’t really do anything as the opponent combos off do they re not as stimulating for the audience
Anime plot armor to the rescue almost every time for Yami.
1:48 What's a V-Pokemon?
They are cards from the sword and shield era that were just big bodies but worth more prizes.
@@cthefro what the cards have big bodies? I don't know how they could be official PTC is bigger than the official sides.
@@StormySky48 I mean they have high hp and high attack. In both games high stat lines are referred to as big bodies, at least in my experience.
It was the game's two prize Rule Box mechanic in the Sword & Shield era, in which they are all basic Pokémon. Along the lifespan of the era, two forms V Pokémon were introduced as evolutions to Basic Vs:
- VMAX Pokémon (Gigantamax mechanic from the VG), which were exceptionally powerful but worth 3 prizes when KOd
- VSTAR Pokémon ("Blessed" with the celestial power of Arceus), which were not-as-powerful as a VMAX, but have a significantly strong attack or Ability in the form of a "VSTAR Power" you can only ever use once within a game
@@cthefro Okay but what do you mean by worth more prizes? What prizes are there to earn in a card game?
The irony here is this got more and more as an anime as it progressed, with the end swinging it to the fences!
Imagine yugi found a opponent who cheats in TCG by breaking the un sportsmanship in the handbook as the opponent does a questionable gesture
Ah yes, The Ian Robbs incident at Worlds 2024, this year.
I'm still pissed that he was given a game loss, even though he won his match against Fernando 2-0 and even signed the match slip.
Stupid judges thought his quote on quote "hand gesture" at the end of the match was "unsportsmanlike". SMH.
Or Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town.😒
@@DKQuagmire There are videos that explicitly explain why Ian was given the game loss in the Top 8 round based on how the rules are structured.
And if you can't understand why his obscene gesture (that he openly admitted to someone as such) was inappropriate given the circumstances, then there's not much I can do for you.
@@PkmnMstr10 but what about player Isaiah. I saw a compilation clip (highlight reel) on Pokemons official TH-cam channel, of that guy doing the exact same thing. But he's not punished?
Yugioh isn’t immune to that teamsamuraix got a hand loss in finals fir swearing with goddam
This game is not a kids game and goddam isn’t a swear (or at least shouldn’t be)
5:19 the most craziest the wildest ending of a video/show I've ever seen
0:54 - Yes not exactly as grandiose as "Pot of Greed" is it? XDXDXDXDXD
1:17 - Man I wish this actually happened in the actual show, just a nice little humanizing touch XD
2:51 - Oh shit a sealed Charizard is still that big of a deal? Damn man I remember when my brother was trying to get all the cards but never got a Charizard.
3:33 - See this is why everyone made such a big deal over Mega Charizard X, _"THERE! HE'S A DRAGON TYPE NOW SO SHUT UP!"_
3:59 - Wait hold up this is neither Duelist Kingdom or Dragon Ball WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! o _ O
4:11 - Oh well okay then I guess the planet's not fucked somehow XDXDXDXDXDXDXD
5:10 - Kaiba would rather end in a draw than lose to Yami again......respect XD
fckin cringe XD XD XD
We don’t know how many prize cards Yami had left, but if he had more than two then Kaiba taking his last would still win him the game (assuming them both going off the field counts as a knock out).
fkin cringe lord
I love the reference to Charizards actual ability
Gawd damn it! I just learned the basics of yugioh so I could understand a fraction of all these parodies, now I have to learn Pokemon too!? Where will it end!? Come new year I will know how to play…..(Googles obscure card game) ……Durak!
Quick lesson:
In Pokemon TCG, each player has up to 6 face down cards called "prize cards" that they can flip over and add to their hand anytime an opponents pokemon dies.
If a player draws all of their prize cards, they win the game.
@@simeonellinger2064 Does pokemon have a discard pile/graveyard? Does it also have an exile pile/banish zone?
@@resphantomYes, kinda. IDK if there's special card (like Pokemon Card's ability or Suppoter Card; basically Spell Card) with the special effect depends on how many cards in the discard pile.
@@raveast Seems like there is a discard pile and some cards that interact with it.
@@resphantom Yes to both questions. It's hard to not have a Discard Pile in most card games. They have to go somewhere. And the exiled card mechanic is called the "Lost Zone," with cards that have attacks or effects you can only use once you send enough cards there.
Magic cylinder, that's a new Ace spec. Lol
That Charizard card in TCG is Dark type by the way. I understand why you changed it into Fire type. But still.
Why
That’s so illogical I could somewhat understand flying but he’s a fire starter
@@jmurray1110 simple. That Charizard card is Tera.
@@DaakkuuYRSTera?
@@DarKit-hu7yr in gen 9 there is a mechanic that let's Pokemon changing types. That's Tera.
@@DaakkuuYRS I have not played any past the game boy advance games.
Destroy THE FUCKING MOON!!! LOL I was rolling on it
Lol I love how he destroyed the moon oooone time and now everyone includes it at least once in a yugioh meme
Because out of context and in context that was fucking insane
