The whole game reminds me of TOCA Race Driver 3 :) Karts physics are incredibly hard to reproduce in a video game because it's a machine that you really have to feel to drive it properly.
Being a go karter, a lot of things can be adjusted. A hell of a lot can be done at the front end with camber, toe and whatnot. Axle with at the e back, gearing, Carby tuning while on track, tire pressures, chassi stiffness. It is practically a formula 1 car stripped down. Racing at its simplest and best
Would be cool if you have like a hybrid series of Project Cars and F1 2015, once you do everything on Project Cars, proceed to F1 2015 haha...that would be cool
Tiametmarduk Yep. ;) As I was a Full Member during the beta etc my name got put into the game. ;) If you ever want to race the real me pop over to www.revssimracing.co.uk
Why do you need to see the wheel? You should be looking far ahead, and, the physics are actually good as karting is not driving a car. For one thing, karts square the corners to brake.
Wow...That careermode looks absolutely amazing! Nothing as I had imagined in a racing game of today. Guess it might be time to dig out the old wheel and pedals!
The sound of the engine in your ear. The feel of the steering wheel on your hands. The feeling of anticipation as the lights turn green. It's race day. Are you ready?
This is a great series. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of the qualis and stuff in depth if you can, something like how you do f1. Maybe longer races too once you get out of the karts.
I used to race those karts before I went to Formula Vee, would be interesting to see how true to life they are, have noticed they are a lot more forgiving with the kerbs then in real life, also the first person view is a little higher then it should be, you should see probably about half of the steering wheel instead of just the top, also there should be an option to duck as that is a common practice to reduce drag, It could replace the kers button because I have seen that as an option in the HUD to use kers for the FA
I race go karts and a lot of it makes it hard to believe that this is a realistic game for karts at least. 1. Go kart steering wheels don't turn as much as they do on the game. 2. They don't have force feedback, or not much of it. 3. Why would you start in KZ2 (6spd gearbox, 125cc, watercooled, 44hp)?! What about something like Senior Clubman (1spd, 100cc, air cooled, 22hp). More realistic. 4. In Australia at least, they don't have any better kart than a KZ2. So why is there a better kart then that? 5. The camera is on the wrong side. It's normally on either the nassau pannel or on top of the water cooler, which is always on the left, apart from on some rotax engines where they have a small one on the right next to the engine. 6.They should slide a bunch, it's up to you to control it. 7. You don't treat a go kart like you do a real car. 8. You can't just throw it into a corner like you can in a real car, you have to brake in a straight line, turn then once you get enough grip you put the power down. 9. The back wheel goes up when you're not on the power on a corner, so if you go on the power mid corner when it's not settled, then you're gonna spin out or at least lose all your grip. 10. You're setup has to be SO different between conditions. Like even just 3 or 4 degrees can completely change the track and everything! You're pressures should be like 25psi or so in dry and about 38-40psi in wet. But if it's wet but the track is drying and you're on wets, you would put them down to like 25psi so you don't wreck the tyres. Gotta admit though, karts are pretty much impossible to replicate. But please, don't think that the hire karts you use are anything like the real things!! They are the opposite!!!
+Ferrari Gaming completely agree with you. I race a rotax and have driven shifter karts many times before and it's nothing like it is in real life! very disappointed. may also be because there is no physical fitness involved lol but the physics really aren't realistic either. oh and you put 25psi in the dry? wtf i run 15 and thats considered high.
+Ferrari Gaming also the major problem i see is that the karts are extremely stiff in the game. kart frames in real life flex a lot and actually break in through corners. maybe its because im racing a 30/32mm frame instead of 32mm(probably the one used in project cars) nonetheless, way too stiff to be realistic. having a kart in real life with all the torsion bars and a very rigid seat wouldn't be as stiff as the karts in project cars.
It's a video game man. It's not meant to be real, relax. The point is to simulate the experience, and that obviously involves developers incorporating a way so that it somehow remains an accessible product. I could nitpick Madden 16 or 2K16 all day given that I play both sports in real life, but why don't I? Cuz it's a game, my time would be wasted getting flabbergasted at how one little thing doesn't add up to real life. Enjoy the game, your rant has no bearing.
A little FYI... you're able to adjust how low or high the camera is. On the computer the default button is s. When you press it the camera scoots down lower. It can give you a life like camera view from the f1 car along with a lot of other cars
Very nice racing mate, I didn't do that well in my first few races... Keep it up and please continue this series, it's something different in a very nice way!
The "twitter feed" feature already exists in the MotoGP games so it's good to see it here & it'd be definitely good to see in F1 2015 as you said. Just so you know, less steering input is better for the karts. Do smooth out throttle input & keep it in the power band with the karts to be quick
I'm racing karts, and you can do much, much more with the karts irl than in the game. Not many seems to know this, but karting is actually just like real racing, but smaller.
Well, that depends a lot on which level you race at. If you want to compete for the wins even in smaller championships, it WILL be expensive and the more you want to be competetive, the more will you cost. But if you race on amatuere level it wont be very expensive 😊
I saw a video where u can adjust the camera angles, so that u can see the wheel more or less, or even remove it altogether. You should check out the options. Hopefully it helps.
Hey you can change the position of where you sit in the options menu so if you take the seat back you will be able to see the steering wheel on the kart ... Hope this helps
Karts have alot of setup possibilities. Not as much as cars becuase of no suspension but nearly anything else can be changed. Know becuase i compete in karts in real life.
hate to say it but thats how most cars are, they're all oversteery. factory kart teams are probably some of the only teams to be able tot get all the set up changes correct to make their karts completely neutral balance wise. but since they have no suspension, karts are awful over bumps, they got most of that correct.
I think u can adjust field of vision in settings in setting menus. (i.e how far you sit from wheel)....not sure if it applies to karts. TeamVVV did a video on it.
here's a tip at least for an oval start wide come into the turn low and come out wide and barely turn the wheel and all of this may be utter shit because I've only ever raced dirt oval
The whole game reminds me of TOCA Race Driver 3 :)
Karts physics are incredibly hard to reproduce in a video game because it's a machine that you really have to feel to drive it properly.
%100 percent true, karts are hard to reproduce in a game but besides the sometimes stiff steering, there isn't much force feedback either way
Bo Butler yeah, the whole body must receive some feedback (it's also the case in GTs, but less)
Bo Butler 100%*
I miss TOCA 3 a lot. Grid Autosport tried, but it was missing so much. Come on codemasters...
It's funny to see someone who normally races in such a high tier of Motorsport struggling in such a beginners car
TH-cam recommended had finally showed me something I’d love to watch.
Tiametmarduk You can change the field of view for the cockpit camera which may make you feel better in the karts :)
Would be cool if you have like a hybrid series of Project Cars and F1 2015, once you do everything on Project Cars, proceed to F1 2015 haha...that would be cool
Thats great
Awesome idea!
No it wouldn't, that's $60 x2. But I see what you had in mind.
I do Karting in real life I do the Belgian championship . Ben you can adjust anything in a kart
lol. Kevin Cox is me lol ;)
Kevin Cox Holy shit. No way!
Tiametmarduk Yep. ;) As I was a Full Member during the beta etc my name got put into the game. ;) If you ever want to race the real me pop over to www.revssimracing.co.uk
Tiametmarduk typo on address. www.revs-simracing.co.uk
Kevin Cox Good old Kevin always beating everyone...
What a coincidence :)
Why do you need to see the wheel? You should be looking far ahead, and, the physics are actually good as karting is not driving a car. For one thing, karts square the corners to brake.
thats his preference seeing from the POV of the driver
Thats no POV. Its a Behind the Shoulder somewhere V
I never said it was mate
Please please don't abandon this series like the Forza 5 series. It seems awesome so please keep this videos going
@WMD_Tiametmarduk is no match for @WMD_KevinCox
Adam Smith LEL
Watch out for greenwood
Poo
TheMrcooll 11:11
Adam Smith gym
wow that would be so awesome if that person also promotes through the tiers, that would be such a big feature
More laps in The race
Dennis Persen upload more kart vids
Wow...That careermode looks absolutely amazing! Nothing as I had imagined in a racing game of today.
Guess it might be time to dig out the old wheel and pedals!
Still not quite sure about your camera-view choices...
The sound of the engine in your ear. The feel of the steering wheel on your hands. The feeling of anticipation as the lights turn green.
It's race day. Are you ready?
Nice to see the typical Ben Daly start even in karting ;)
cant wait for more ep of this series and the f1 2015 series when its out!
Can't you just press [ & ] to increase the fov in game in cockpit view if you can't see the wheel on the karts.
Sean Linehan Tiametmarduk check this out bro
This is a great series. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of the qualis and stuff in depth if you can, something like how you do f1. Maybe longer races too once you get out of the karts.
Yay! Finally! Now I don't have to watch GameRiots shitty Project Cars videos anymore! :D x
Joey Gee lovely ... why are my videos shitty exactly ...
Hahah!! Same here!! 👏👏
GameRiot idk probably because ben is a better racer.
Same this is soooo much better someone who can drive project cars no more game riot
GameRiot i like your videos

I race go karts too, but you gotta admit that for a video game they did a good job.
Joe Girth Sorta, they coulda done a whole lot better tho...
+Ferrari Gaming completely agree with you. I love this series. Do it more often. And where is the real life carting.

This looks like a great serie
CUT OFF BITCH
I just saw a video on about how project cars was removed from the steam store the game was so realistic and fun good to see how the game was
you are a great lad Tiametmarduk
Nice driving Tiametmarduk. Keep it up

Douglas Dahlström Oh nice. I never drove a Go-Kart and they interest me but I have no idea how to start or where to start
Where do you live? Find yourself a go kart track nearby, go there and ask about everything you want to know 😊
The 2nd race, you would never ever ever see a race start like that in karting lol.
Great video though pal
I saw a video where u can adjust the camera angles, so that u can see the wheel more or less, or even remove it altogether. You should check out the options. Hopefully it helps.
Brilliant episode, mate!
Car number 8 -> 2^3 = 8
^3
Illuminati confirmed!
I'm liking the new series!
Tiametmarduk Carry on the series! the game looks awesome!
Wow great idea Ben! Really love this idea. I'll be watching all the way. #TeamBen
This explains my confusion. Thinking tier 1 was beginning, I started there....
The best F1 youtuber with AlexZafRo
Who else is watching in 2021 😁
Ben round 5 of the kart one championship is spa in Belgium . I race there for the belgian championship
You can change how the helmet cam looks, opening up the amount you can see, go into visual settings.
This Project Cars is sick!
You won that first race because you pushed the leader off the track!
The 3 Glencairn tracks I feel if I was born on them
I see for 1st time GO kart "Game" :D
Hey you can change the position of where you sit in the options menu so if you take the seat back you will be able to see the steering wheel on the kart ... Hope this helps
kart racing is always unique and it looks like this game has got close to it, considering you span out quite a lot
mad_inferno also its great you can change the setup with a lot of the things you could actually change, excluding some very technical parts.
great work benjamin, from germany
You can increase the cockpit FOV in the menu, and you can move the camera around a bit with WASD.
i like this series plz continue :)
Mire This is sick keep it up buddy
Love this mate! Keep it up 😋
I race go Karts in U.S.A!!
Btw, go karts in real life don't have reverse... even shifter karts.
This was awesome! Keep it up! Just bought the game because of this video because how fun the career looked. Keep in mind Nintendo.
I wonder if these are the Go Kart videos Ben has promised
Also got to cockpit and change your Field of View to 160
Karts have alot of setup possibilities. Not as much as cars becuase of no suspension but nearly anything else can be changed. Know becuase i compete in karts in real life.
He sounded like Owen Wilson at 7:20
You can adjust camera so you see more of steering wheel
I had AI on 100%, full races, also finished 2nd national, 1st on chamionship
we want moar ! nice vid Ben
@WMD_Tiametmarduk I had to rewind to see a few of those camera angle changes!
When you say you have no sense of where the track is going, in the different camera angles. You should look at the minimap
@WMD_Tiametmarduk you were so slow in the first race that they had to send out a search party...
Its more Real When you are looking in first person
Amazing serie!
Yeah go on settings to camera and increase the cockpit field of view to max and better for karts
I love it already!
On my wheel it says don't throw in fire 🔥
hate to say it but thats how most cars are, they're all oversteery. factory kart teams are probably some of the only teams to be able tot get all the set up changes correct to make their karts completely neutral balance wise. but since they have no suspension, karts are awful over bumps, they got most of that correct.
just so you know when you drive with cold tires it realy feels like youre on ice
I tried Karting in career mode, ended up rage quitting numerous times it's so difficult
This game looks ace.
Anyone here after Ben’s massive sub boost after F1 2020, that got him 500k subs!
Your the best Tiametmarduk
Brilliant video
I'd like to see you give the rfactor 2 karts a try and compare them to project cars, that would be interesting.
stay on super gokart
I think u can adjust field of vision in settings in setting menus. (i.e how far you sit from wheel)....not sure if it applies to karts. TeamVVV did a video on it.
This was awesome do more!!!
Karts would never drive at these tracks with this amount of elevation surely
Filip V Yeah it is
NZ Gameing See videos of Mosport Karting. Its like a mini Bathurst.
Weird because my kart had perfect handling from the start
First race begins at *5:15*
Your welcome
here's a tip at least for an oval start wide come into the turn low and come out wide and barely turn the wheel and all of this may be utter shit because I've only ever raced dirt oval
Can't believe I'm just downloading this free
Why don't you edit some of the inbox stuff and get on with the racing that's what I'm subbed for
Longer races please? Great video though
U should do this same thing for iracing in road Rookie to Pro
you can change heaps in go karts
you should do a road to v8 supercars
I'm Australian and number 8 is my Lucky number too
I'm English and mine is 6 (like xMattyG I think... And we're both Matty G's) only difference is I'm nowhere near as quick
They should totally use that over the shoulder cam in Mario Kart
Along with wheel spin and no traction control
Awesome
theres a angle that lets you look through the helmet
Interesting game, looks like fun. But holy crap, it's expensive.
Try simplygames.com they do the game for 35 quid
Please, before you are going to F1, do career with the Audi R18 TDI in the LMP1 class?!
My favourite number is 8 too
