Bear in mind, the AI of this build are kind of broken. They are overly cautious and passive with overtaking and getting overtaken because the marbles of the track make them too slow and cautious. Gonna be fixed for the final release though.

The Stig Cousin great point. i normally only ran the single practice session - enough time to get acclimatized to the track for a 15kg fuel run, and then run a qualy simulation lap right at the end on the softest compound. Now you are going to want to run as much practice as possible which is great. I also wonder whether running 50% or 100% races should make any difference to your R&D points.

Hey mate; can't wait looks great! I've subbed. Just have a few questions about the race starts. In the other F1 games to get the best most consistent start you just maxed the RPM.. The car would bog down at anything less. In this game you pull the clutch (hold button) but: 1) Is it a case of maximum RPM before dropping the clutch? Or do you have to modulate the gas based on traction available? E.g 75% gas at some circuits... less gas for slippier starts? It seems obvious but in every other game maximum power was always the best way to go. 2) I plan on going straight into the career at max difficulty and practising a lot. Is it possible within the game to do practice starts in a race weekend or is the formation lap your only chance? 3) When going from 0MPH do you always have to engage the clutch or is that mechanic only for the race start? 4) Can you place rubber down from spinning your wheels in your grid box? Cheers! The clutch start mechanic is something I've always wanted. Having control over your start is great - I just hope it's possible to get into the habbit of nailing starts with no wheelspin by knowing the amount of traction (will take some time at each circuit). I'm worried it'll just be a case of pull the clutch & floor the car to get off the line quickest. Cheers mate!
there is no such things as the game engine is modeled for something. They are both shape. It is just how much work has been put into them. The chars do like a bit creepy from time to time and I think they were a bit better in 2015
Can you showcase the simulation setting for the damage model pls? It would be helpful, so we can see if they improved the damage. Great video btw. It is nice to see, that the SC comes out a little more often. 2 or 3 SC's is quite normal in Baku. The transition from rain to dry should be a little more smoother and slower. Also, the standard car performance, should be a little re-balanced. RedBull should be faster, haas and others slower.
Hey Ben? Do you know if Codemasters are going to add specific designs for different tracks? Like Mercedes had the Scoop Rear wing in Baku? In the game it was the normal wing
That Sauber and the Mclaren shouldn't have been able to drive after they smashed their rear suspensions into the wall if Codemasters would get the damage model straight and realistic. Good video anyway Ben :)
Engine wear may be cause by your revs on the downshifts. Wait just a little bit to change down in the braking zones, and the revs won't spike nearly as much, which will be very useful over a season with the limited amount of engines.
I wish they added a button when you go into the pits and when you have minor front wing damage you can choose whether you want to change the front wing or not, it is kinda annoying when you pit with minor front wing damage and they change it.
He acutally recorded this at home. Codemasters gave him an early Career Preview build where you can race the first 4 races in Career and do quick races.
Turn 8 isn't really that bad I think. In the games, AI doesn't take advantage of the inside line. They always leave room on the outside which results in the opening side-by-sides to last a long time. In real life and any respectable online race, Turn 8 will usually be single file.
Ben where are you losing time to the ai? Traction out of slow corners? Braking? Straights? Not enough corner cutting? ;) Why were the ai so quick in comparison to you?
Honestly said, the Ultimate AI doesn't seem at all to be that hard to beat, especially in a Mercedes. It's about right, or could be even harder to catch. It's just about practicing and getting the most of your car, so nobody should think that Ultimate AI should be slowed down.
First time I've seen a 100% distance race on F1 2016 and it looked brilliant. The onboard text should be larger though and the AI needs to have a few improvements on the lower difficulties but apart from that, I have no problems with the game from what I can see. 😊👍
i really hope like in f1 2015 you can set realistic pole times. This years hamilton's pole on silverstone was 1m29ish. In f1 2015 the best time possible for a good player were high 30ish. so the cars are getting quicker, id like to see the 2016 cars being quicker in the game as well compared to f1 2015
They really need to allow us to adjust the helmet view and they need to fix that shifting animation. I dont think it's too realistic to take your entire hand off to pull a paddle...
back end of cars didnt seem to twitch much under power even in wet, hope there no too much emphasis on drs as the temptation to slam the car into fence will be quite high

Is it me or those characted model look like a PS3 game? I know this is a racing game but they look odd for a current gen game.
The game engine is modeled for cars not really player models. That's why.
I find the Character Models decent. There are not great but ok and the Engine is more based on Car Models.

You should do 100% races in career on F1 2016! Much more interesting strategy than on shorter races and a lot more happens with the AI!
