Hi Felix & Wifey, I have struggled for so long with getting the first blended layer on my canvas. So I have done a lot of stressing each time I did a painting and sometimes took me a good few hours to start because of this. I have watched this video a couple of times and decided I would give it a try. I'M SO HAPPY you have solved my problem. That is such a good idea to “lay out” your colour mixes on the pallet before you start, I have never thought of doing that before which is probably why one colour is pretty much dry by the time I get to start the next and I have so much trouble blending... so clever! I also like your brush blending.. so often I “lose” my lighter colours... will,definitely give this a try. Stunning result! Thank you

I like your technique of mixing/blending the paints on the palette first..I've never seen anyone do it like this before. Most seem to just blend on the canvas and when I do it straight on the canvas I don't get a gradient that flows. When I did your way I got very very good results with my blending. I like your style. Others say simple but it's way past my beginner level. I'm so in love with Nature I decided I need to paint Her on canvas...sunsets, oceans, rivers, mountains etc. so with your help I'm gonna try to unlock the artist within. I wish I could get one of your brushes, but I can't now... So I used two makeup brushes (the blush and loose powder ones and they worked!)
I also makeup brushes as blending brushes
