A Sahara Desert Adventure

- The southern part of Tunisia holds a portion of the Sahara Desert. I traveled there with a tour group from the seaside town of Sousse. It was an amazing adventure, complete with camel rides and a 4X4 trip through and over dunes in the desert. We also checked out troglodyte cave homes that are still in use by the Berber people, while also visiting numerous sites associated with the Star Wars movie franchise.
It might have been my favorite experience in Tunisia.

Come along and travel the world with Richard Green. Retiring in the spring of 2023, I am embarking on full-time world travel. I'm going solo, but the idea here is not to focus on me so much. It's about the places and the people along the way.
The title Old, Alone and Far From Home might initially come across as a sad state of being. My mission is to show that it's just the opposite.
You've topped yourself again! This might be my favorite video yet. I really enjoyed seeing the Sahara Desert. I can hardly believe you got all the meals, excursions and a lengthy bus ride for only $136. Thanks for taking us along on another great adventure!
Thanks so much! That was such a fun two days roaming around the country!
Amazing....I am really enjoying your travels as well as Heather's! You both document it so well as if I was there! Keep them coming!
I appreciate that, Tony! I'm having a great time with my travels.
I hope all is well with you!
@@oldaloneandfarfromhome all is good with me and my family! Take care and safe travels!
Your adventures just get better and better! What an amazing tour! I especially loved the look into the cave homes, and the 4x4 ride through the desert looked like so much fun!
Thanks! The entire trip was a blast and for the price it was an incredible value!
Nice video! 😊
Thank you very much! It was a fun couple of days!
I'm going there today!
I hope you have an exciting adventure!
Great video. I have been to all these places - two days is far too short, I spent three weeks in the area. Nefta and Tozeur are worth a visit plus Ksar Ghilane. But Tunisia only gives one a taste of the Sahara, for full immersion, one has to visit Chad or Algeria and Mauritania.
I agree that my time was far too short! I would love to check out much more of the Sahara.
Thank you for watching.
can you please share the details of the tour agency , thanks
I can't find a direct connection to Tunisie Voyages. I booked through Get Your Guide. Here is a link to that website.
