I remember reading the book of Wicked years ago. I thought it was so boring and forgettable, I couldn't understand why it was a bestseller. Now that I know who controls the media, who produces fame, who decides on fads, I'm no longer surprised that such a book could become famous. Twilight is another example. So tedious and harmful, yet it became a "sensation."

The Chronicles of Narnia was written by CS Lewis, a strongly Bible based Christian. Narnia clearly showed how witchcraft was defeated by Aslan's death and with Aslan's resurrection, the table/altar of witchcraft sacrifice was broken. Elizabeth Montgomery NOT as sweet as she seemed. The 'Nanny' show actors paid a high price in the world - there were A LOT of real-life issues with them after the show ended... sadly.

I have to disagree with you on the Chronicles of Narnia. C.S.Lewis was a christian who uses the Lion who lays down his life as a symbolism for Christ. It is a wonderful portrayal of good vs evil with good winning.

CS Lewis was a devout Christian, and the last book in the series is about good and evil; it's a representation of God and Satan. I had bought a ticket to go see this movie on the opening weekend but then I actually stopped and thought it through and realised I was going to a movie whos central core is witchcraft. Yes, the author, CS Lewis wrote the seven Narnia books to give children insight into Biblical truth on a level they could read and understand. He was a believer, and a devoted Christian. His books are definitely recommended for Christian parents to share with our children.
The books that the Broadway show and movie were based on were actually pretty good books, of course adapted for production. Books are always better than the movies that leave out many details.

I remember reading the book of Wicked years ago. I thought it was so boring and forgettable, I couldn't understand why it was a bestseller.
Now that I know who controls the media, who produces fame, who decides on fads, I'm no longer surprised that such a book could become famous.
Twilight is another example. So tedious and harmful, yet it became a "sensation."

The stories of Narnia were created to expose children to the story of Christ.

The Chronicles of Narnia was written by CS Lewis, a strongly Bible based Christian. Narnia clearly showed how witchcraft was defeated by Aslan's death and with Aslan's resurrection, the table/altar of witchcraft sacrifice was broken. Juliet Mills went on to a horrible (resemblant of "Rosemary's Baby") also 1974 movie called "Beyond the Door". That is a non-random pastiche and mockery, since one of the running gags in "Nanny" was that that character ALWAYS knew who was knocking at the Prof's door ... and as the theme tune hinted, she did that on the basis, not of magic, but love (the love of God). Since Nanny was called "Phoebe" that means the pure and radiant one... Her surname which the theme tune called silly (but note what St Paul said about silly things) was Figalilly - two plant species mentioned directly by Jesus... In the horror flick, which also cashed in on The Exorcist of one year before, Mills played Jessica Barrett, which means the aggressive and troublesome one who has the sight... Barrett lives in San Francisco, so the great and beautiful Saint is also mocked...

I have to disagree with you on the Chronicles of Narnia. C.S.Lewis was a christian who uses the Lion who lays down his life as a symbolism for Christ. It is a wonderful portrayal of good vs evil with good winning.

CS Lewis was a devout Christian, and the last book in the series is about good and evil; it's a representation of God and Satan. My sister asked me to go see the "Wicked" movie. I had to tell her the Bible says in the last days evil would be glorified and good would be demonized. Of course she thought it it was unreasonable. She reminded me of my past. I reminded her I was forgiven.

I also know that the meaning of Los Angeles really means the angels, (or fallen angels) I also know that satan is referred to as a falling "star" the "people" in hellywood are also referred to as stars. I also know that the city of angels movie was based upon the fallen angels that came to earth and had entanglements with human women who bore giants to them which had six digits on their hands and feet. I had bought a ticket to go see this movie on the opening weekend but then I actually stopped and thought it through and realised I was going to a movie whos central core is witchcraft. A movie that was attempting to make witchcraft "soft and fuzzy". So in the end I didnt go, I went to Eucharistic adoration instead

Yes, the author, CS Lewis wrote the seven Narnia books to give children insight into Biblical truth on a level they could read and understand. He was a believer, and a devoted Christian. His books are definitely recommended for Christian parents to share with our children.
