Eli Gold will forever be immortalized in my home for being the best announcer of Alabama football to ever grace this earth. I grew up listening to TOUCHDOWWWWWN ALABAMA! Man, I'm going to miss him when he's gone. I get chills every time I hear his voice.

I loved it when Eli and Phil said "Alabama is gonna win the football game!". That made me chuckle, seeing as how Rod Bramblett (RIP) and Stand White had said it a year earlier. All in good fun though. On a serious note, RIP to Rod, he will be missed, he was a good man.

The kick six by Auburn was defestating but Aj threw a long pass to amari down the sideline to make it tied in the 3 quarter I think. That's my favorite play all time

Makes me miss Kenny Stabler. They were the perfect team. Alabama Sports radio should feel ashamed they let him go just because of a DUI. I know DUI’s are potentially horrible, but a huge percentage of the population has at least one in their lifetime.
He had more than one. (and he refused to take the test which is breaking the law in and of itself). There should be something about learning a lesson after the first mistake. (without more information, I can't say whether he should have lost his job over it). And in looking up multiple years of data (more data is available about DUI crashes than all DUI arrests, and it is hard to find it in one place), somewhere in the single digits percentage wise is how many drivers get a DUI. Quite a few are repeat offenders.

I miss having Lane Kiffin as OC. I wish there were some possible way to have kept him here.
Everyone has an opinion. I respect Lane and at times he made great calls. I remember wanting him to call more run plays, he loved jet sweeps and screens. It is what it is, tho. I believe Coach Enos is gonna be a damn good one, he's already one of the best qb coaches out there. One thing is for sure, Coach Saban will always make sure the right man is in the right job. RTR!

I miss Snake Stapler . He and Eli were way better the Gary and Vern. I think heaven has a favorite calling the games and my Buddy Big E is right there with them . I never will forget that kick six and I actually called that play .
These big plays are great, shown along with TV video; but who really listened to the Alabama Radio Network? Who really bothered to go to the trouble to sync the radio and TV broadcast? Who really knows how a good radio play by play man paints you a picture of every play?
