I never thought I'd witness more of a miracle than Van Tiffin's 52 yard game winning field goal against Auburn in 1985. This years National Championship proved me wrong.

I graduated from Alabama in the 80's. I was at 2 of these games, Auburn in 09 and Starkville in 17. Makes me proud.
That 2009 Iron Bowl was a heartbreaker for me as an Auburn fan! It was the 20th anniversary of the first Iron Bowl played in Auburn so we were all hyped up even though we were not as good as Bama that year probably one of the best Iron Bowls of all time.

Cedar Digital Alabama vs Clemson was pretty much a 2 score game until the very end. I probably should've put Georgia vs Bama but I wanted to put games that were more close to upsets. Only reason I put Georgia vs Bama from this year is cuz it went to OT.
@Billy Bossong yeah, wtf is he talking about? if anyone thinks that wasn't an incredibly close game until the end, you straight up didn't watch it. it was only a 2 score game for a few minutes in the 4th quarter thanks to an onside kick and a 95 yard kickoff return, and clemson still couldn't be stopped on offense. if that's not a top 10 close game, I don't know what you're thinking.

I’m the only State fan in my family since I’m originally from Starkville while the rest are Bama fans, so it really would’ve been nice to get the bragging rights for a year. Geez, for as good as Alabama has been, they sure love screwing themselves with field goals. The LSU game in 2008, LSU again in 2011, the Iron Bowl in 2013, and this year's championship game. Still, they found ways to win three of those games, so at least they do everything else right.

As a Bama fan, I can assure you, the kicking game is the bane of my existence. When we set up to kick an important field goal I just turn off the TV for about 10 minutes, use the bathroom, grab a beverage, maybe a snack and then I turn the TV back on to see what damage has been done. That's no joke either.
That's what they say about all of the kickers when they show up. lol Then, they proceed to lose every skill they ever had when they put on the Crimson jersey. Not having a kicker is our Achilles heel.

2010 Arkansas was better than Alabama... Not sure why that’s on here. If we would’ve played Arkansas when we played one of our 3 losses, we probably would’ve gotten beat. Our running game was very down that year and Greg McElroy didn’t make good decisions like the year prior. Arkansas went to the sugar bowl that year though, so I really don’t think that counts as a near upset.
Arkansas was very erratic and their QB choked in the Sugar Bowl loss to OSU. Alabama had as much talent as they have ever had but under performed after winning the NC the year before. They put it all together at the Citrus Bowl and killed Big Ten Co-Champ MSU 49 to 7. Alabama ended up 10th, Arkansas 12th in the final polls. You say Arkansas was better than Alabama but I would say depending on the day and which team showed up to play.

Idk what it is about Arkansas even though they haven’t beaten us since 2006 they have given us trouble many years but we did have back to back 52-0 so that was nice
Out of the 15 year win streak against UT the only 2 close calls were both in Tuscaloosa you’d think the two close calls would’ve been in Knoxville especially that year they were highly ranked.
Lsu has blown too many games to Alabama
The 2012,2013,2014,and 2016 LSU-Bama games were disappointments. Usage of timeouts and time management and the coaching was horrible in those games.The one in 2008 was great too ig but LSU acted like they didn’t know how to stop a QB sneak.

Jbreezy Gaming LSU’s lack of QB development is what’s killed championship teams for us. We have practically the same talent as Bama does but because of coaching and the QB position, we are a decent team every year, not the national powerhouse we should be. Easily the most mismanaged position in college football.

Well, the odd thing about that is--Alabama quarterbacks in the Saban era have been labeled as "game managers." Tugavaoiloa is the first QB with real talent Alabama has had since----------Stabler? I can say this, though,--McCarron was better than any QB LSU has had in awhile.
They should do an update of this with games 2019-2022 like the Alabama Auburn 2021 or Alabama Texas 2022.
