    Nice. I have a 2250B (no mods as yet) and really like it. I'm going to invest in a silencer though, backyard plinking......it sounds a little louder than my Beeman RS1 .177 and I don't want it to annoy the neighbors 😉

    the grey squirrel is an introduced species in England (and other places) which displace native squirrels (The Red Squirrel).
    If more people ate the organic bounty the land provides, and less on factory farmed animals, you might find yourself enjoying a bit healthier lifestyle and saving a few bucks at the same time. Plus everyone should spend time in nature, whether it's fishing, hiking, camping or hunting. People have lost a huge connection with nature and our hunter gatherer history.

      I have been a shooter and a hunter since I was 7 years old and that was a very long time ago. I have no hesitation in shooting Squirrels, Rabbits, Rats, Corvids and other legally defined pests if they started to cause damage . But it really gets on my tits when lame and stupid excuses such as ' Grey Squirrels Are an Introduced Species and Not Native' keeps coming up as a justification for shooting them. Are Foxes or Rabbits introduced species too? Rabbits have been here in the UK for over two thousand years, foxes for ever. Just how long does a creature need to be living here before it is considered native ? We shoot them because in large numbers they cause damage to the enviroment and bring finiancial ruin and they are legally defined as pests and not because they are not native or otherwise.

      So true, our increasing dependence on government (socialism) is turning each new generation into a new race of helpless homo sapiens, which is not good. I see posts on my Nextdoor App, where people need help for even the simplest tasks anymore, such as painting a bathroom, or installing wood trim along the floor. Most people cannot even change a flat tire on their car!
      I really am fearful for our coming society. Fortunately, Being over 70 years old, I will not have to live in it!

      We also need far less people in order to make that happen. The reality is that we are at double our capacity on earth.

      @@eagleviewhd Quite so. The other day my mother asked me to change a wheel on her car. I said "You're nearly 80 years old, surely you know how to change a flat tyre!" She's just lazy. So i made her change the thing herself and even though it took the best part of 7 hours, she learned a lesson she will never forget.

    I just got 2400kt in on Friday. It took 100 rounds for the thing to settle into groups of 5/8" @ 20 yards and a hair over 1" @ 28 yards CTC. That was using RWS Super Dome 14.5 gr pellets in .22 cal. I am anticipating getting the 28 yard groups down to 3/4" and the 20 yard groups down to under 1/2" after I get more comfortable with the gun. Right now a pool noodle around the upper stock rail to rest the cheek so I won't have to strain so much keeping a good picture in the Hawke 2-7X32 and a bench rest more comfortable than the deck railing I am currently using is the immediate order. It's too bad the barrel of the one tested here was not broken in before the review. My first groups sucked ass too. Those groups were cut after polishing the sear linkage with a 1200 grit diamond hone.

    I have a modified Crosman 2240 which is very similar to the 2250. I installed a steel breech, 14.5” barrel, lighter trigger spring, homemade stock adapter and hammer spring adjuster that replaced the Tube Plug, a 6-way adjustable tactical stock, a homemade silencing barrel shroud, and a scope.
    It is very accurate and fun to shoot. I uploaded some videos to youtube on how to make the silencing barrel shroud, as well as how to make a night vision scope adapter and a scope cam for this gun. Check out Eagle View HD which is my channel.

    Are squirrels hard to come by in the UK? I ask because all the hunting videos from there talk about stalking, building hides and feature guys all kitted up head to toe in fancy camo. We only do that for big game here in the US so thats why I ask. You can almost wear street clothes here and bag squirells. Just need some patience. A cheap squirrel call from a sporting goods store and homemade chewing call (i use a large coin scrapped against a medium-large screw) work wonders.

    • @jameslawson7383
      @jameslawson7383 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are not hard to come by, but they are Hunter savvy. They are an invasive species across the pond, and seem to know they are on the most wanted list. They are hurting the red squirrel population, as well as the songbirds. Gray Squirrels eat the eggs, and baby chicks, and they can transmit diseases that the native red squirrels have no defense against.

    • @Cody38Super
      @Cody38Super 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Capt Sealeg
      Actually, our friends in the UK are only allowed a maximum of 12lbs. of shooting pressure. We have no restrictions on pressure over here. Which has taught the UK boys to become very adept at taking heads, which is also much more humane and expedient than center mass.

    • @Cody38Super
      @Cody38Super 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Capt Sealeg
      Oooops, that's embarrassing. I thought you were here in the States, and I thought you meant that they must be using something a little more powerful over there(UK). Well, at the least.....that's all I got wrong......right?
