I went down the same rabbit hole a few years ago. Similar set up, except I dabbled in the GMAC multi shot breechs. Bolt action, using Benjamin magazines. Sadly he closed down a couple of years ago. They are now almost impossible to find. I sold my .22 set up a year ago on Gunstar. Multi shot breech, Boblov type rangefinder, MTC Viper etc etc. Made good money. What I have left I will not sell. Its a 2240 chassis, Gmac multi shot breech in .177. Lothar 24 inch barrel .177.
Pop into Terry Robb and get one of his big transfer ports. Smear some clear silicone bathroom sealant around it and let it cure..then screw it all back together. I done this and had no leaks..and good power 👌🏻
Never crossed my mind to lube it up before fitting. It's got a larger TF but not sure the rubber is up to being clamped and squashed TBH I'll give the pellet probe a quick look as of course it could be from there as well. I will be off on a Weds one of these weeks! I want to speak with him for a few little jobs on my HW80
Hi, after seeing what you’ve done to your 2240 can I ask your advice? I bought a brand new 2240 last week and since then have obtained a S/H top half 2250XL which includes the long barrel, long co2 tube and the steel breech, ( no trigger or grip assembly ), my question is can I fit these items “or indeed just the steel breech” to my 2240? Initially I just wanted a steel breech so I can fit a scope or red dot, any idea if the 2250XL breech will just swap over? Thanks
Hi how long is your barrel 24" or longer I did conversion myself couple years ago I think I put an 18-inch barrel on mine have a great day brother but by the way where did you get your stock from
The stock was 3D printed, they're not being made anymore which is a shame as very nice and light. I think this barrel was for a 2260? It's 24" long and probably too long but looks cool and shoots well.

Ever think of using Crosman Alloy Pellets? They should give you at least 600 FPS!
I have used some lead free RWS but the ricochets were awful and quite scary 😆

Everything is pretty much transferable as far as I'm aware. They really are simple guns to work on and alter / modify
Go for it!!
hpa bottle conversion would make it way more consistent when regulated. a discovery valve the screws and drop block 1200psi bottle to convert.
I was thinking about a HPA conversion
Safepac is definitely the safest way
