loved the video on the feeder, although i was thinking that there would be too much sunlight coming from behind you, but as the sun dropped it left you in shade. Good to see the deer coming in so close, maybe not for the farmer with his feed been for the phesants. A great shot on the squirrel ontop of the post and also on the magpie with the phesant not even bothered.
Nice shooting Mat, Nicely set up hide that definitely works when you build them then leave them for the wildlife to get familiarised with, worked well with the Magie and the deer, allover a good show mate. atb phil
Thanks Phil. Yes, it makes a big difference when you can leave hides in position. You have to be careful around hedge-cutting season though... All the best. Mat
While you have suppressors on your toys, we have a person in US who makes long barrel silenced shotguns. 6-8 foot longer barrel with portage at the end. Barely makes a pop. If there was option in UK for you having long barrels, (although a little unwieldly) you can have great shooting opportunities with no noise firing. Same for all those South Africa et al meadow land shootings, and continue to take down more and more critters, without startling them.
theshootingshow and that’s how you shut down a clown. Love your work. I am used to conventional firearms and had a co2 pellet rifle as a kid but you sir are on a different level.
I know this video is 4 years old but is there any chance I get get the info on the head net and hat? It’s his Mat’s usual set up and I’m a fan of both the hat and head net and would like to pick them up if possible.
Another great video Matt and that scope looks fine. I have a Nikko sterling gameking 4-16x50 AO IR atop my compatto which I'm not getting on with, may have a look at one of these mate. Bob.
Hi Lewis. Straight from the tin every time - though I'll discard any that appear to be damaged. Air Arms Diabolo Field are my usual choice. All the best. Mat
Hi, I've been watching alot of your videos, I myself have just bought the hatsan 125 sniper .22 Springer I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. I was wondering have you done any reviews on this rifle?
Good one Mat, a very enjoyable episode. I've been wanting to making a semi static hide in the corner of a field of yet to be harvested rape seed on one of my permissions for a session on the woodies but have been stumped by the bewildering array of camo nets available and don't want to get burned buying a cheap-n-cheerful net to find its so fake looking or noisy nothing will come near it, you seem to use a couple of different styles of net can you recommend one or point me in the right direction? /simon
Hi Simon. The camo netting made by Deben is some of the best I've used. The key thing with most camo netting is to fix it down securely at the base so it can't flap about and rustle in the wind. All the best. Mat
No, pheasants are out of season and my permission only applies to small pests - squirrels, woodpigeon, rabbits and corvids. The 12ft/lb airgun is well below power to take deer. All the best. Mat
+theshootingshow 12ft-lbs .22 can kill a medium size deer with a proper head shot. but it is not allowed to atempt. it is inhumane kill and animal can run away and die slowly
Really good shooting Mat! Regarding the Scottish problem I think we should all apply on the same day and sue when the Police cannot meet the demand within the proper time span for paid services in the time promised by the Scottish government. The police do not want this unnecessary burden either as they have real crime prevention to attend to with terrorist threats on the horizon. The airgun and other shooting magazines should co-ordinate this D-Day for concerted action against this draconian Scottish government.

Magpie 's & Crows eat song birds to the point where song birds are no more ! Hunt all Magpie's/Crows to allow our Children to Hear the Birds Sing Once More !
That deer ate more than the squirrels. Why didn't you shoot it? Hypocritical hunting there mate. squirrels are very slow breeders and if the feeder were to be moved into open ground the squirrels would not venture out to it.
well air rifles of small caliber are not the best for deer and deer have seasons and other laws on them so you can just shoot them whenever you want, but i know what you mean. The feeder was a bit close to the tree line but they probably have other feeders around too.
What on earth are you talking about?? The law in the UK stipulates a minimum calibre for deer and it is miles away from sub 12 air rifles... the pellet would just bounce of its skin you idiot. Squirrels are neither slow breeders nor slow eaters, that feeder could be ANYWHERE and the squirrels would come. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
Thanks for this edition Mat. It's a good 18 minutes plus of entertainment and information.
Thanks Reg. Glad you thought it was a good one. All the best. Mat
Great shot on that very wary magpie! The pheasant hardly took note!
great show magpies cause so much damage, keep them coming.
Thanks Craig. We certainly intend to keep them coming. All the best. Mat

Nice shooting there Mat, good to see the legal limit rifle being used.
Hi Nigel. Yes - legal limit certainly proved its worth on this hunt. Cheers. Mat
Nicky always needs to piss off early, how about a cameraman with some dedication.
Haha... I was just thinking that!
I'd like to see some of these events in the USA as well as some episodes.
Fantastic Mat. This place is well-maintained. Waiting, coffee and good friendship. Does hunting with Airguns special! Hug from Brazil.
Thanks - very kind. Mat
Another top video mat👍🏻 really look forward to your show on you tube
Thanks very much - glad you enjoy the show. All the best. Mat

Thanks John. I think the precision of an airgun wins over a shotgun when it comes to shooting pests very close to pheasants.
All the best. Mat

Great shooting Mat
Great video as usual Matt. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
Thanks very much. All the best. Mat
All air guns seem to be upper end market guns.Do you ever use the entry level ones to show what they can do.Many hunters do exist at this level also.
Thanks Matt, great watching wildlife whilst reducing the vermin population. Great episode.
Yes, it's always a treat to see wildlife up close like that. All the best. Mat
Abates magníficos!!! Parabéns, são muito bons seus vídeos e, como também, as armas aqui apresentadas. Show, Top!!!

Hi Robert. We were very impressed with the Richter Optik Exact - especially considering the price. Mat
Nice! Muy bien ! Saludos de España! !
Great video as always Matt. Can I ask if your one to wash and lube your pellets Matt or do you use them straight out of the tin? All the best.
Hi Lewis. Straight from the tin every time - though I'll discard any that appear to be damaged. Air Arms Diabolo Field are my usual choice. All the best. Mat
sir, no scope etc...stuff. we want airgun-reviews.
yet your videos are great
Hi Todd. Plenty more airgun reviews to come. All the best. Mat

Was it not tempting to take a couple of pheasants home :) ?
Would that rifle take a Row deer?
No, pheasants are out of season and my permission only applies to small pests - squirrels, woodpigeon, rabbits and corvids. The 12ft/lb airgun is well below power to take deer.

With all due respect you need to know the capabilities of the air rifle ,deer is a no no as are foxes, respect your quarry.
I went out for 3 hours decoying and got nothing with my air rifle, there were definitely wood pigeons around any tips
Btw non of the pigeons landed

demasiado bla bla.
Why are the squirrels "greedy", but the deer are "welcomed"???. The deer are greedy too!!!
why you wear a ski mask?
Hi Mario. The camouflage head net prevents flashes of pale skin from alarming squirrels, magpies etc through the hide net.
All the best. Mat
He told you.
first
Thanks. Mat
5 minutes into the video and you haven't shot shit yet..if you're going to make a shooting video, make an exciting one
You must be a American...
Hey why you are killing inorcent animal's for your gun marketing purposes?
