4:28 - 4:43 is a top 10 moment in music for me. It's been like 10 years and I keep coming back for that amazing part. It's a great song and good band, but I wish he sang like this more often!
the exact same thing goes for me, except it's 2:04 - 2:18 holy fuckin' hell, the way they break out of that first go at the chorus... especially the slightly raw twang from Brian's J-200 behind those wicked intense strums... i haven't forgotten that damn sound since the very first time i watched this unplugged set on Palladia all the way back in 2009 i think lol such a criminally-unknown performance
This is the song/video that got me into sspu. So glad i randomly remembered this and substitution. My mind late night love it lets me remember music like this that i cherrish.
This was my introduction to Silversun Pickups. Went out and bought Swoon afterwards. Was not disappointed at all. 12 years later, and I still listen to it. This is the only version of this song I listen to, though.
I remember watching this when it came out. It’s not generally my cup of tea. I prefer hard rock but this performance and song was and is STILL mesmerizing. Incredible vocals. Tight band top to bottom and then add the string section. Really amazing.
Is there a higher audio quality version of this exact concert somewhere? I mean this is by far the best version of the song and it's an absolute shame that I can't find a better quality version of this. Maybe the uploader has more infos?
Holy shit how did I not know about this version
Imagine this version being how you discovered this song 😅
This is the only version of this song I consider canon.

It's just brilliant. Top 10 for me as well.
Yup. That definitely gives me chills every time.
Definitely the best version of this song. You can hear all of the guitar chords clearer. And his voice sounds amazing.
You wouldn't think this song would translate well to an acoustic version ...but it's great!
The meanest bassline
still gives me goosebumps every time

3:37 … the entire string section smiles, the bass paces on, the maraca comes out… and everyone braces for the awesome 🙌

TH-cam used to have the whole Unplugged set… anyone know where it went and why?
Probably my favorite song by them and acoustic version sounds much better than album version imo. Love it!

what kind of ludwig set is that?
sad to see chris have to suffer with acoustic. one of the best on stage drummers ever. this was a great song.
Was? It always will be. Even when it's acoustic like this.
4:28
Why doesn't he sing like this all the time? What a scream! It's like he masks it with a baby voice...

There’s another copy of this that’s slightly longer and (I think?) better quality
