Normally in the past I would be pissed at you for staying neutral on every situation that you discuss because it makes me think that you are ashamed to have your own opinion in fear of the backlash you might get for it, but I realize that most of the time I'm projecting my own insecurities on you and become angry because you don't have the same opinion as me. It makes me realize that I've also adopted this sheep mentality because I followed the general opinion of hate against Blizzard's decision due to my own dislike against Social Justice Narrative instead of looking at the situation from both perspectives. Now I have become so biased that almost every time someone has an opinion on sexuality(which has been heavily bashed in the past) that's even slightly negative I immediately condemn them instead of accepting their opinion as it is. In this regard I am no better than the people asking for censorship just to satisfy their own insecurities. Now I see that your neutral stance on things is a much more healthy take on things because you don't influence people in either side you just leave it to us to form our own opinion. In this regard I have come to respect you a lot more.
Thanks, Boogie. You've made me a better person than I was before. From this point onward I'll take every opinion with a grain of salt and try to look at all perspectives before forming my opinion, instead of following along with the hate bandwagon.

I feel you, man. I get the same kind of response, torn between a sort of cringing response when people violently criticize said PC, anti-sexualization, feminist or whatever views - because I've spent a lot of time around REAL people who uphold those concerns and make good cases for it. It's hard to stay objective when everyone wants to drag the other side through the mud, when they only want to "destroy" the other side and build their own up, that they'll take the same kind of view on any issue that, on the surface, has some buzz words that get their blood boiling. For example, anti-SJW people want to complain about "special snowflakes in their hugbox echo chambers;" then they'll turn around and tell their favorite youtuber they're unsubscribing because they made a video sympathizing with a feminist or saying they want to elect Bernie Sanders - pot calling the kettle black, much? I don't want to be that guy, but the peer pressure of the internet is strong.
+nymx Being able to see the positives and negatives in something is a good thing, which is what he almost always does. Nothing in life is black and white, so picking a "side" usually involves choosing to ignore some of the facts in favor of others. Besides, these people screaming and crying over trivial crap doesn't help anything. It's saddening that we live in a world where people tear each other apart over a pose for one character in some video game being removed.
Hey Boogie, while I do find the Francis stuff hilarious and always have. I am honestly here for you, myself and my girlfriend watch your videos every morning over coffee and I just really value you as a person. Keep doing what you do man, we are "lucky" to have you in our lives even if it is on a screen :)
You staying neutral is great! It FORCES people to formulate their own opinions. If they are getting mad at you for just presenting facts instead of opinions, then I think there is something wrong with THEM, not you lol

Well, I consider myself very lucky to have dropped in to watch this. I am really glad you've been able to have your family come visit and please give us an update about the Hot Springs trip! As someone who deals with pain (fibromyalgia and a currently injured back) I'm always on the lookout for natural things that will add just another layer of what I do it keep those levels down to tolerable. It's really great that you have used your drive and determination to carve out a niche for yourself successfully and are expanding upon that as well. I like you! Not overly fond of Francis, lol, but you, you're the real deal :) I need to ratchet up my drive some more :) Thanks for the inspiration.
What people don't understand is the difference between being neutral and being in denial/ignorant of said issue.
You know your stuff and see the pros and cons of both sides. You're not lazy by any means.
People calling you weak for not choosing is like people calling you an idiot for not conforming to the two over-polarized parties we have in the US.
I for one think I'm lucky that I have a family that is happy to help whenever they can in any way they can, which is especially important to me right now since I am struggling to find a job currently.But First World Problems aside I am also lucky that I have it fairly well. I have a roof above my head, I have an internet connection and a decent PC, I'm not starving to death, I'm not in debt and I am generally pretty healthy.I think this is what many people - myself included - have to remind themself of more often, that we're still having a pretty good life, despite all the bullshit that life throws at us, and that things could really be a *lot* worse.

You know what Boogie? I was really really mad (still am) about the Tracer thing and I am a silent opposer of SJW's, but you make me see things from a different perspective. You usually don't change my opinion but you challenge my views and you make me less aggressive about you. The videos you make, make me calm down even though you have a opinion that is different from mine because you are so neutral and I damn admire you for that.

It's always heartwarming to hear about a corner of the internet where we can have discussions rather than arguments, where debating the value of an idea does not mean debating the value of person. And whenever I hear about such a debate, I hope that those standards can grow to encompass the entire internet. Who knows? We might get lucky.

Hi Boogie - On the Neutrality issue, don't ever let anyone force you to be anything you don't want to be, especially when you are susceptible to anxiety and depression. I don't know if its an issue for you but worrying about offending someone can eat away at me long I've made a harmless comment. On a more positive note I just want to thank you for giving me the confidence to be myself, since I found your channel and at nearing the age of 40 I've found it easier to admit to people that yes I suffer with depression and yes I suffer with anxiety (I have Bi-polar and Asperger's). I've also embraced my inner nerd and love of gaming, comics and movies and instead of being ridiculed people have been genuinely been interested (thanks Marvel and DC)........though I think Star Trek might be a step to far so I'll keep that a secreeeeehh. This week after 6 years of extreme depression and anxiety I started to apply for jobs again. I know you like to post links to people who inspire you, well I'd just like to say Thank you Boogie, you inspire me.
Lucky I subbed to you even though I knew of you ages ago. I mostly followed gamming news channels on polaris before "the fine brothers" kicked off the "youtube drama age". Sure youtubers may have bad mouthed eachother before, but now it's alot more apparent. and I am so glad you keep to the neutral sides. You never have a "us vs" them side in your videos. It's like, here is what a normal person thinks about this highly controversial topic. It's like, you cut through all the bullshit and just get to the point. I live in Idaho and I go to the hot springs near twin falls idaho, it helped my back tremendously, I hope your hot springs experience will help as well.

Been to the mineral springs in North Carolina. It felt awesome. As far as feeling better, the most noticeable difference was my skin felt really nice and smooth afterwards.
TH-cam is a lucky business as much as a business of personality. I enjoy dropping by from time to time... especially with my computer impending implosion and forcing me to buy parts sooner than I needed. Such is life. Keep on plugging forwards Boogie.

I grew up in NW Arkansas. I miss the Hastings that was by the movie theater in Fayetteville. I'd go in there and just read Garfield and D&D books. Beautiful place, lucky to have lived there.
My friends get mad about how lucky I seem to be. It's mostly because I put myself in a position to be lucky. These are my favorite series, they are never too long or boring!

I was lucky to find your channel 3 or so years ago when I clicked a Francis video, laughed, saw other videos on the channel that interested me. I like your content.
That said, if you would have joined Kotaku and Polygon in their LYING, corruption, unethical practices, covering up for cronies, and attacking gamers when Gamergate began I would have unsubbed in a heartbeat. I respect your pro-consumer attitudes. Don't ever bow down to ideological bullies.

@boogie2988 I think sometimes we forget about how difficult it can be for streamers and you-tubers to put personal stuff out on the internet, wether it be opinions or about life in general. With that being said, I really like and appreciate hearing about your opinions and personal progress with health as that is something I've always struggled with. I got my heaviest many years ago, when I was actually in middle school. I hit 235 lbs at Christmas one year.
I was devastated and depressed for a good while. Eventually I put all the negative stuff to the side and Began teaching myself about healthy natural eating. I'm 26 now and the healthiest person I know. I consider my experience a blessing in disguise, it taught me a lot about what I thought was most important in life at a very young age, and may even lead to a longer happier life. It's easier to challenge what you know and change when you're younger.
