Wow that video really hit me hard when you started talking about taking the pain away from your subs. I started crying a little after that. I just feel you are one of the few genuine people on youtube or in the world I have met so far because you know through your life history that sometimes life really sucks. Boogie honestly is one of the nicest most sincere, genuine, honest, and kind hearted person you can come across, I wish more people took the time to see that. I look up to him and love to hear what he has to say and i hate seeing videos like this where he's stressed and upset and hurting from all the negativity that he really does not deserve. Honestly Boogie i wish I could flip a switch as well and take away some of the pain you're dealing with. I just wish people knew the damage their words can have on people and how they would feel if they were in that persons shoes. Anyway Boogie, if it helps just know that I'll always be in your corner supporting you the best way i can, and thank you for all that you do. I'm thankful for your videos and thankful to see them in my sub box every week. :)

If people are having a bad day, why the hell do they have to vent their anger out on you? You're not a vulnerable target either, you've done nothing wrong directly to them to make them say these horrible things. There is no other way to explain it that they just have personal issues, you always weigh in on both sides of the arguments and you're very fair. Honestly you are one of the most humble people on TH-cam!
Great explanation and analogy on the "drama videos" Boogie. I was worried that your channel was heading in a direction that I didn't want to be a part of, and I'm glad that's not the case. I am a huge fan of the "Boogie's Philosophy" videos. :) You and I are of the same vintage and it's nice to see a Gen X'er who gets it, who gets life, who struggles yet perseveres. You are well aware of the darkness that exists on the Internet yet you refuse to let it crush you and you remain a positive online force. Your encouragement and life philosophy played a large role in why I am pursuing a career in writing now (I average about 1700 words a day, every day, even when life sucks, even when I feel like my writing is shit). Thanks Boogie. You really gave me a Jumpstart to my day. I can't lie I battle depression and extreme stress. My girlfriend is sick and I am paying the bills, buying medicine, and taking care of a 14 year old child that had no where to go. To say the least I am feeling the depression hard. Yesterday at work I could not control my emotions so I dipped in the bathroom and sobbed for about two minutes later. But you.......... You gave me hope today that today......... Could be a good day. Honestly Boogie, you're one of the most reasonable folks on this whole damn site. I really respect the fact that you're able to keep your cool and remain reasonable. I wouldn't necessarily call myself "balanced" or "happy" where I am at right now but I can't fathom what drives people to shit on others as a means of self-relief. If I were ever to shit on somebody else to take out my anger I would almost instantly feel remorse, I would want to reverse whatever I had just done. It boggles my mind that people post comments encouraging suicide (even if "it's just a top kek bro") so often. It is really quite depressing, but I guess the best way to combat these types of hate comments/trolls is to just try to stay positive and encourage good stuff instead of negative stuff. Anyway, Boogie as always really inciteful video. Love ya man and keep the wisdom coming :)

Boogie, a lot of youtubers respond only to negative people and the real fans get shadowed. But boogie, you responded to my positive comment :) you went as far as to give me a shoutout on your twitch! You didn't have to but as much as it positively affects you, it affects us the same because you may not know this but some of us fans get bashed and down talked when we support you or any youtuber. VR is what I've been excited about for the years now, more, hype never died. I'm having a hard time focusing at work as we are so close to consumer VR. It definitely is not for everyone at this early stage, the price for admission is not quite there for mass addition. I'm happy to be an early adopter though, for the first time since buying the original Xbox at launch, Halo was just that good. Now it's about an all encompassing medium, it can contain all other mediums, the potential is just insane. I will demo for as many people I can for sure, gaming and entertainment is about to get shaken up :) There's some super late night rambling for ya ;) Looking forward to hearing you impressions of the VR systems :D Cheers!

Have you ever looked into becoming a counselor? Maybe going to school for psych as a backup for when youtube tips south? I think you'd be good at it!
The technology advancement is fascinating, and I believe this will help people stay fit and give them a reason. If you can dodge, bob, and weave around, slicing at robots and feeling godly, it is good. I plan (when I have kids) to have them play outside for their earlier years, and if they wish to continue doing so I will support. However, if they begin to go more gaming focus, I'll give them this. As a side note, people who aren't happy, don't have what they want or aim for, they are bitter and sour. I've gone insane a few times over my need to help people, let them be happy, with the result being me taking their burden. It gives me pain, but they stay happy. If your one action (even if it brings harm upon yourself) helps those around you, I believe it is worth it. What do you think on that subject, boogie?

I love you & what u do. I've never posted , life has handed me & my son such overwhelming health problems & emotional problems. Bad back pain , bad doctors. Horrible meds. I've been put on.The death of both my parents my mom to cancer in late July just before her 80 th b day & my dad passed away alone at the house, I should have been there for him.Yet was in such bad shape from wrong medications! It's so great to watch u & what you do on u tube. You make me laugh as I've been alone here at home dealing with so much, was crying while trying to fall asleep remembering everything that's happened these past three yrs.with my son now being so sick.feeling overwhelmed & trying to stay strong.,,I hurt do bad inside I'm glad I've found you as a friend.you r the best !! Hey Boogie - I've only recently started watching your videos. I actually saw you first when you did a video on the Fine Brothers. So quite recently. I also help run a community for a game on xbox (a bit of backstory for the next paragraph).
I never quite understood why TH-camrs got so upset when people made these kind of comments. I thought to myself 'Why don't they just brush it off'?
Well, a few weeks ago, I came across what you've been talking about - people dedicated to making you feel like crap, in the community I help run. Whilst this was in absolutely no way as bad as the guys you are describing, I felt like absolute crap. I knew in my head that these people were just angry people with nothing better to do, but nothing I could do would make the crappy feeling go away. All I wanted was the nice people in the community to affirm my actions and let me know I was doing ok - even though I already knew it. I actually came close to tears at one point.
Thank-you for all you do, and for putting up with all the hate flying at you, Boogie. I really do understand now that it can have an incredibly negative effect and I really wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

OMG, what you said about customers in retail is spot on. Last retail place I worked at (Office Max), in 2005; this woman brings in this dirty, dusty old say..1998 or so computer that she said to us she bought from and Office Max in '95 with Win 95 Office. She plopped it on our cust. service desk and demanded a new computer!! LOL! I had no words for once...three of us just looked at her for a minute with a complete loss of words. My buddy was actually stuttering looking for *something* intelligent and gentle to say to her but it could never happen haha!! In a nutshell, she took the computer back with her, storming out and cussing at us for not replacing her old, grungy, '95 machine with a new one, right then and there...even though she had no recipt or papers, contracts, warranties...nothing. She could of picked it up off of the side of the road for all we knew.

If you had a keyword, I missed it, so I'll just say that I appreciate your non-hostile approach to discussing important issues. You speak so calmly and you're so articulate that when you come in with that reasonable, measured argument, I think it's a lot more effective than coming at issues the way Francis might.
Drama has become a huge issue across all social media. I recently dropped Facebook because the drama became unbearable. People feel they are untouchable in social media and they create hateful comments because they believe there will be no real consequence. I finally had enough when I saw friends flame one another over trivial matter that ultimately created a huge rift in my friends group. My large group of friends literally split in 2 over something stupid. I guarantee it would never have happened if the discussion was face to face, but social media almost encourages flaming because it creates "likes" and you become immortalized because you are tagged in discussions stemming from your comments. Feeling valued because you see your name in other peoples comments or getting more likes is more important then the harm you caused by flaming someone else.

Cant wait for VR to get here, been waiting a long long time for this.... I think that the Vive will help with some of your fitness goals, esp if you can play games like FruitNinja and AudioShield seated, at least at first... I heard someone (TribalInstincts maybe?) talk about adding small weights to wrists/ankles to increase exercise value... anything that gets us moving is a good thing, right?

I think it's good and healthy for you to talk about the trolls as a genetality. I know people say to ignore them and they will go away, and there is something to that. They might leave you alone for a little while, but they don't get off the internet, they just go harass someone else. As a community the best way to help each other, and cut down on the harassment and bullying, is to talk about it and show what is and isn't healthy Internet practices.
You are by far one of best people to listen to on youtube, youre rational down to earth and just want things to get better not worse, always trying to move forward and i appreciate your existence.
