Prof PLO Lumumba is a rare gift from a higher power. Otherwise, how possible is it that one individual that is Prof PLO Lumumba is gifted with the intelligence, the oratory, the passion, the vision, the care and the knowledge to mention but these few qualities that would make visionaries & leaders like Nkruma, Kenyatta, Sankara, king, Mandela, Sisulu to mention but a few very proud. How privileged are we Africans & the world as a whole to have such a passionate voice of reason to listen to. I can only pray that God blesses Prof PLO Lumumba with the privilege and lenght of time on this earth dear sir because the world needs you.

To all nkrumaist and until the whole world knows the truth.Ghana first president Nkrumah inherited a rich nation in terms of natural resources, but lacking technological and managerial skills. However he became arrogant and embarked on gargantuan spending spree with no coherent strategies to replenish outlays from inherited assets.President nkrumah misruled and dictatorship, precipitated the army and police coup against his government and started a cycle of dictatorial military governments in ghana, culminating into brutal AFRC and PNDC extermination of opponents. The all powerful almighty God who spoke and things happened didn't need six days to finish creation,he could finish everything one day or even a second, but just as in his usual humility came to earth and was crucified on the cross, finish creation in six days. Why six days?Maybe God is speaking to mankind to complete one major project at a time,if we want to do a great job.In a nutshell, had president Nkrumah allocated resources to achieve sustainable agriculture before industrialization diversification, ghana would not be importing food now.Farmers having modern farm equipments in their work would require fewer workers and even layoff some existing farm workers, then large scale imports substituting industrialisation would become essential since it would provide jobs for displaced farm workers and new entrants to the jobs market. The rush to industrialize shortly after independence with a population of about six million, drew farm workers on farms located in remote areas without clean drinking water, electricity etc,to newly created factory jobs located in cities, where all the modern amenities were concerntrated.Futher, had nkrumah upon independence focused building infrastructures across ghana and humbly step aside to allow his compatriots to continue, the coup against his government would have been averted, and ghana would have had the political stability to grow economically.Concurrently, the europeans seeing economic and political stability in newly independent ghana, would be motivated to rethink their continue colonization of Africa. The need for ghana to give away 10million pounds to guinea would not have occurred. In America since first president Washington didn't become a dictator or king,America had the political stability to grow to supersede their colonial master.a word to the wise is enough.

African leaders have stopped caring about solving problems of their people, let alone funding institutions and research for it. Many are abandoning the education sector and it causes private sector to step in. Problem is the private university is expensive hence inaccessible to majority of the population.
At this point, only the private sector can help move this continent forward. The US economy works in the same way. The businesses build the colleges and fund research initiatives. They're the ones building, funding and investing the innovation industry like silicon valley. Waiting for the governments of Africa is a waste of time.
