@@jacintakithei3789 Nonsense. He's not saying much. First of all you can't solve this issue without understanding who the players are. If Kagame is not acknowledging the fact that he's funding M23 then how would you address this? Secondly, it's not only Rwanda that's supporting M23 but France and the US is involved as well and funding M23.This is exactly why it is difficult to resolve the situation because none of the players will openly admit to being involved. So if you have to call a meeting, who do you call? M23? They can't make agreements without their backers.
@@martinkihumbe Saying someone is ahead of their time is being snobbish: thinking that somehow the present time is superior to the past. He was rightfully in his time.
Mr Lumumba if you sympathize with M23, will you be happy if Uganda claims Western Kenya and a bit of Rift Valley because this was originally Ugandan territory until 1920s. Mr Lumumba the Rwandese in Uganda were and are not demonized. Kagame was involved in the genocide in Luwero triangle from 1982-1986. He participated in the Mukura massacre in 1987. He led the genocide in Northern Uganda that brought Joseph Kony to the scene. Why do you think Tanzania chased away the Tutsis?. Tanzania foresaw the project of the creation of the much larger Batutsi- Chwezi dynasty. Can the Bagisu in Uganda take war to Kenya because they want to protect the Bukusu in Kenya, or the Samia in Kenya take the war to Uganda because they want to protect the Samia who live in Uganda.

Prof! I am proud of you, you have just given a very succinct resolution to the Congo crisis. Taking individual responsibility for the mess in Congo is a very important and applicable answer to this conflict. Furthermore the leaders of East Africa should heed this call
Thank you so much my Elder PLO, for your maturity in coming up these solutions. May my respectable Elder, please organise the meeting of all the Elders who seek peace for our Africa to come together and pave a way through. I am a South African and it is duty to ensure that Africa is cleansed from all the foreign influence. I thank you
I think Africans should review their borders with open hearts, negotiate with neighbors to give chance to tribes divided by colonizers to re unite in one country through referendum. God bless PLO Lomumbo
As a South African. I have learnt a lot from this teaching. Us as Africans should work together as African nations. We will be stronger by helping putting each others fires out and safeguarding our resources. How rich would we be. But greed, colonization and mixed history accounts are what’s messed us up. I pray for Africa. God hear our cries 😢

This is fair, intellectual and objective commentary on the conflict. It was worrisome to me that the media and some interviewed make it seem like M23 is the only armed group in the area when there are HUNDREDS. We need to be real about the West on all kinds of sides. It's great to see people put the situation in historical and political context.
Please read other perspectives on the Congo crisis before branding Prof. PLO Lumumba's historical views on it as some sort of academic or intellectual commentary/exercise, much less objective. Surely, it is not! The fact that Prof. Lumumba deliberately downplayed the role of Mr. Paul Kagame in assisting M23 rebels in this campaign of destruction and death yet again on poor Congolese people, is a clear indication to me of PLO's bias. Let's not kid ourselves about what is going in Goma and the DRC. I am all for African solutions for African problems for Africans. The first retort for Mr. Kagame is not to unleash his dogs of war. He is yet to transform himself from a ruthless guerilla warlord to a stateman, even after so many years living in a posh presidential villa in Kigali. MHO.
The Professor's perspective on the DRC appears not only erroneous but also seems to propagate Rwanda and Uganda's agenda, aiming to fragment the DRC and annex its territories. It is imperative to recall that in 1998, Rwanda and Uganda collaborated in an incursion against the DRC, with the objective of capturing Kinshasa and occupying the country. It was Zimbabwe, joined subsequently by Angola, Chad, and Namibia, that intervened to safeguard the DRC's sovereignty. Thus, the professor's stance may inadvertently echo Rwandan propaganda, undermining the complex geopolitical dynamics at play.
Yep he has no idea about the history of Kagame and Museveni's tinkering of the slaughter of the the Congolese and Ugandan's since the duo started their heinous bloodthirsty in 1980; Uganda 1980 - 1986 (Museveni and Kagame Guerrilla War) killed 800,000 Ugandan, in 1994 Museveni and Kagame led and were responsible for shooting President Habyarimana's plane leading to the Rwandan Genocide, Post Mobutu Kagame and Museveni saw a vacuum to start their territorial exploits into Congo, supported the puppet regime of Laurent Kabila and his Son (of Tutsi lineage), and therefore both men Museveni and Kagame think they are entitled to Congo's mineral wealth. These two culprits have towed the CIA exploits in Africa for four decades. Providing troops and American support to the seediest guerrilla movements in Somalia, Darfur, Iraq, and Afghanistan just carry favor as western mercenaries.
Question to you and to our beloved Prof: The DRC has 9 neighbouring countries and only 1 which is Rwanda, has been causing desolation in the DRC over 3 decades under the pretext that; 1. The genociders are in the Congo so Rwanda must go to Congo and exterminate them even if Rwanda must violet international laws...? 2. One of the tribes(Tutsi's) is being discriminated in the Congo so Rwanda must help them fight for their rights? 3. How about the other 8 neighbouring countries remaining, don't they also have tribes in DRC Speaking the same language/dialect as those in their Countries? or Congo only hates the Tutsi's that are in Congo so much that it wants them to go to Rwanda out of the 8 other remaining people who speak the same languages as others in neighbouring countries? 4. Do you think the Congolese are unaware or uneducated of what happened during the partition of African Countries to a point where they don't understand that two neighbouring countries can have people speaking the same language/dialect at their borders? Anyone can objectively answer these questions.
The key is to understand that Tutsi is not a tribe but geopolitical strategy for neocolonialism. Even good people such PL will have a problem to unlock the puzzle 🧩. There is no Tutsi language and there is no Hutu language. People looking like paul Kagame is also low percentage gene on Bantu DNA physics . Explore by European creating confusion as epicenter of racism among African and within Bantu people particular.
the land you claim to belong to Uganda were never yours these were part of Rwanda but they were added to both Uganda and Congo by colonisers through borders with people still living there!

I'm honestly disappointed in Prof. Lumumba's deliberate attempt to distort the truth regarding DRC's issue with M23 in North Kivu: 1. He suggests that borders shouldn't be used or seen as barriers separating people but rather as boundaries that ease territorial administration. This is very far from the truth. National borders in the modern international system are primarily there as antidotes to insecurity and chaos. Although inherited from colonialists, national borders are there because of the concept known as the "Westphalian nation state" that was formed in 1664. If borders, especially in Africa, were primarily administrative, it would have been very easy for the OAU in Addis to form an African federal government or at least an African state with sovereignty to run our foreign affairs and some form of semi autonomous territories. This didn't happen. Sovereignty stayed with territories, and the massive territory or continental Africa, got nothing. The DRC put an exception of refusing to talk with M23, not because M23 members or Kinyarwanda speaking Congolese are not citizens of DRC, no. DRC refused to negotiate with M23 because they believe that M23 is a tool on Kagame's hands that he uses to cause insecurity in Eastern DRC to exploit the vast mineral, and timber resources in Eastern Congo and that Kagame is the main middle man for the violent and cheap exploitation of African resources by Western powers. I know the good professor is aware of this. Why are you twisting the truth, professor? 2. The majority by over 85% of Kinyarwanda speaking Congolese have no problem with the central government in Kinshasa, while those closely related with Kagame have been fighting in DRC since 1996. This very small minority of Congolese are the ones who have caused devastating destruction in Eastern DRC with 6 million Congolese dead and more than 10M displaced or refugees. Why hasn't the good professor never addressed this African catastrophe? 3. If you blame President Tshisekedi for refusing to talk to M23, I would like to know what you have to say about former President Joseph Kabila, who held talks directly with Kagame and agreements would be arrived at, including the appointment of Kagame's clients in DRC as top Generals, only for them to rebel against Joseph Kabila to return to the East to over see Kagame's interests of making sure that enough gold, diamonds, coltan, Wolfram, Tin, etc were available in stock in Kigali for the Western black market. 4. Uganda and Kenya have similar people on their common border. What would happen if Uganda's Luo speaking people conspired with their Kenyan brothers against Kenya's security and economic interests? Would Kenya not defend its national integrity? I guess Kenya would act. But would Kenya act without making reference to its identity as an entity with sovereignty, territory, and self-determination? Would Kenya's interest be answering to the cultural and blood relations between the Luo or in dealing with the conspiracy? Should anyone, anywhere, blame Kenya for safeguarding her territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and self-determination?
Man i salute you sir, looks like you got a full background on what is going on in DRC. Kagame is a criminal against the Bantu's, he was behind the bombing the then Bantu (Hutu) President Juvenal Habyarimana which led to the civil war against the Hutu's! He has since remained in power creating some kind of dynasty!
But why is Congo such a weak nation at this point? Why can’t they destroy m23 and invade the small Rwanda? Why is Rwanda building its country with Congolese minerals and Kinshasa is mostly looking like a dirt mess with the young population having no jobs?
@@Qluons Because m23 has satellite monitoring and western drones ready to destroy the DRC completely. The DRC is in grave danger of being overrun by g-cidal mercenaries.

How do you decolonize the African mind when you immortalize the colonial agency with names like Patrick, Julius, Nelson, Robert, Paul, Felix, and so forth?
I love and respect Prof Lumumba. Peace is necessary, but as africans, we need to look at each other in the eyes and speak the truth. During the belgium colony de, collected the names of all the tribes within the region, and the Tutsi or Rwanda tribes were not found among those names.
Who collected the names of tribes? Maybe dropping Rwanda or Tutsi names was a deliberate action so that in time like this we should use our intuition rather than the written history by our colonizers. Country borders by colonizers are the root causes of most conflicts among brother nationsc
This is not entirely correct as the Belgian went to the Tutsi tribe chief of that region and asked him to rule under them, he refused and proclaimed that he only has one king that is the King of Rwanda, they overthrew the Tutsi chief and put a Hutu in charge, they will later do the same to the king, before assassinating his son in Burundi,
The good book said, "The truth shall set you free." How befitting a statement considering what is going on in the world today and in particular, Africa. Most of the social, economic, and political problems on the planet have the European's name written all over them.
That label is a Western neocolonial title amongst many others… Africans must know by now that those labels are part of their age old propaganda… Voting does not free a nation … it’s just a coverup used by the real Dictators in the west to brainwash the ignorant and gullible.

TBH the M23 were Kadoko soldiers known as Banyamulenge Tutsis backed by Rwanda/Uganda who helped the late Laurent Desire Kabila’s AFDLR’s march to Kinshasa taking a town every week. Upon arrival Kabila told them thanks but please leave the DRC so General Kaberebe refused to leave and the war started in Kinshasa with Zimbabwe sending troops to capture back Kinshasa started whats called the 2nd Congo war it sucked in Angola, Namibia. Factually the M23 can take Kinshasa without a big fight because the DRC is weak militarily South Africa is now weak , former saviours Zimbabwe and Angola don’t want to waste billions again on a nation that is disorganized.

I concur with you prof PLO, this problem of Eastern DRC will never end unless the Kinshasa government unaccept that Rwandese speaking people who found themselves in the current DRC borders when partition of Africa by Colonialsts in the end of 19th century, that they're genuine Congolese and not Rwandese. Expulsion of indigenous Rwandese congolese will never bring peace and they may fight to the last man as people with nothing to loose which may end up with autonomy of the region they occupy. This problem is not a Western world problem, who created the problem in the first place.
Why are Rwandese-speaking people considered special or superior to other minorities? With over 400 tribes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, each tribe has an average population of approximately 300,000. This implies that the DRC has no minorities or majorities; all groups are equal. Please calculate the numbers yourself and share your findings. I grew up with the Banyamulenge and had no issues with them. However, after the events of 1994 in Rwanda, similar conflicts were brought into Congo. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is a peaceful country and will remain so. Please address your issues without bringing conflict into Congo.
You do realize every single country in Africa suffers from this same issue, the borders were never drawn properly. Rwanda cannot and should not use this as an excuse to continue destabilizing DRC and plunder the resources of that country. Again I understand the reason but it is simply a ruse to continue to plunder the DRC.
>>unless the Kinshasa government unaccept that Rwandese speaking people who found themselves in the current DRC borders when partition of Africa by Colonialsts in the end of 19th century, that they're genuine Congolese in which way are these people not accepted as Congolese? Mr Lumumba, please don't mislead people with your one-sided wisdom. How many times will people sit around the table for the issue that has been solved on multiple occasions? We have Bayamulenge in Congo's government, army and in all the administrative structures but you are saying that the Tutsi are rejected in Congo, which is not true and if you are truly a Pan-African as you claimed you should correct that immediately.
The problem with M23 is Kagame, who since he chased Mobutu in power, he is the one dictating who should be president in DR Congo and if whoever is in power in Kinshasa disagrees with him, he launches a group of rebels to start war and this has been going on for decades. Secondly, it's not only Rwanda that's supporting M23 but France and the US is involved as well and funding M23.This is exactly why it is difficult to resolve the situation because none of the players will openly admit to being involved. @@martinkihumbe Saying someone is ahead of their time is being snobbish: thinking that somehow the present time is superior to the past. He was rightfully in his time.
U 're right. My point was "his words somehow predicted whats currently happening in the DRC" I never meant to compare the two periods. Thanks anyway!

It's a pleasure and privileged information, Prof. You are a living gem for Africa; long live, Prof!
I'm honestly disappointed in Prof. Lumumba's deliberate attempt to distort the truth regarding DRC's issue with M23 in North Kivu:

Prof. This is a very insightful analysis. The source and terrain of the conflict is clear a pointer on how to navigate a search for resolving conflict and promoting reconcilitaion.
I shall comment after listening in full.
Otherwise the United States of Africa dream is not dreaming right now 😔😔😔😔
Thanks So much PLo Rumumba
Greetings from Finland 🙂an interesting viewpoint.
Thanks a lot for your description of what should be done to put an end to this conflit
Long live pLO Lumumba
This is highly works spoken from a lider.
God bless African with this types of liders....
Us African we most Unite to stand for Africa
IF UN accuse rwanda military for crossing to DRC.Then who are you to deny?
They are actually the actual problem spreading the wrong narrative alongside the western media
UN are not Angels. Please
Ignorance is dangerouse
😮😮UN???
Good news and a nice attempt at summarizing this true story! BRAVO 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thank you Honorable LUMUMBA 👏🏻🤝
I had respect for this man. But his distorted and biased analysis of the situation of DRC has made me doubt of his integrity.
You need to know that most Pan African men of his Irk are snakes in the green grass I have quite a list and this one, the first time I heard him speak I knew
😫😫😫PLO Lumumba is such an informed scholar & I always wonder why he’s never invited to these peace meetings because the boundaries that we have are colonial & that’s where our problems should be midwived from there because at the end we were ONE people before our continent was divided into paddocks called countries.
**He's not that well-informed. From what I hear, I don't believe that he has, even, read a book about what's really going on in Congo; or if he's done that, then he must have taken the side or the Rwandan-tut Kagame narrative which is, just, lies.** Plz read: Holocaust in Congo by Charles Onaana or In Praise of Blood by Judy Rever
I'm flabbergasted by the omission of the impact of the Rwandan genocide on the DRC.
Please, Prof. Lumba, it begs the question that we cannot talk about Rwanda - DRC conflicts without mentioning the impact of the Rwandan genocide on the other party.
He is already corrupted defending M23 with all he got
Very refreshing ! Thank you so much !
Prof Lumumba is the president of Africa
Thank you for your submission professor
Thank you brother lumumba i gree all afrikan head of state should congregate / pull together on this issue of M23 and we dont need macron held nor anyone..
Son of the soil in whom we are well pleased. Brilliant views, Sir 🙌
Africa is powerful!!
soo much wisdom for the deaf Africa in general , especially our leaders. We do not need the colonial masters to show us how our Nations should be led.
Professor, you are really prescribing the medicine to eradicate neocolonialism rules in Africa.
Greeting from acoli Land in northern Uganda
We salute you PLO Lumumba. Hope African leaders can learn from your knowledge & wisdom and navigate the continent & its people successfully.
Bible quote " My people perish through lack of knowledge".
K. Kaunda used to say "We are plagued by poverty, IGNORANCE and disease"
@@leonbagalwaThese people have always lived peacefully for years. Suddenly in 1990s things changed, what happened?
You do realize every single country in Africa suffers from this same issue, the borders were never drawn properly.
Rwanda cannot and should not use this as an excuse to continue destabilizing DRC and plunder the resources of that country.
Again I understand the reason but it is simply a ruse to continue to plunder the DRC.
>>unless the Kinshasa government unaccept that Rwandese speaking people who found themselves in the current DRC borders when partition of Africa by Colonialsts in the end of 19th century, that they're genuine Congolese
in which way are these people not accepted as Congolese? Can you tell me any law in Congo that says that any person in East of Congo is not Congolese? I'm waiting for your answer. Think carefuly before you write any nonsense. I'm Congolese myself, so I know my country better than this clown of self-styled Prof Lumumba.
This man is not worthy of the name Lumumba, he’s also not pan African, he’s biased by ethnic affiliation, has always stand with the regime in Rwanda by all means necessary. The war has nothing to do with protecting the Tutsis but looting Congo of its mineral resources for western interests.
The M23 is killing both the Congolese Tutsis and other Congolese people, the same way the RPF did in Rwanda during the 1994 Rwandan genocide
These books tells the whole truth:
America's Wars on Democracy in Rwanda and the DR Congo by Justin Joseph Podur
Enduring Lies: The Rwandan Genocide in the Propaganda System, 20 Year Later by Edward S. Herman and David Peterson
Holocaust in Congo: The International Community's Omerta by Charles Onana
well done sir. This is well put together
You should know better, Mr. Wise Man of Africa. Where is Kunda Batware? when you are denying that Rwanda is not backing these killers that you said are well organised to always kill and rape Congolese. I am very disappointed in you. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Kagame is building Rwanda with these wars that he is creating in DR Congo since the departure of Mobutu As a professor, you should know that. How is Rwanda exporting minerals that are not found in its soil? Can you explain that, Mr. Wise Man?
@@emankitenge the problem is not Rwanda selling Congolese minerals..the problem is why is Congo not selling its own minerals? And become rich and build a big military and pay good salaries to its military, Congo has everything to become a great nation even if the whole world was stealing in Congo there would still be enough for the Congolese to become the greatest nation on earth but let’s be honest it’s a mess there is no love for eachother and too much corruption. There is no jobs for the millions of young Congolese population, man Congo Its a shame man!!!!!!!
@@QluonsI completely agree with you. Our politicians are failing us; they lack patriotism and are selfishly taking everything for themselves. However, Mr. Lumumba should not be spreading falsehoods, and we must correct him at all costs.
We must remember ,Congo’s inability to economically liberate it self is all By design from Western interference , of Which It’s clear as Day Rwanda made a deal with “them “.
Thank you very much for clearly explaining this story to all the followers of Professor Lumumba.
May God bless you abundantly in the name of Jesus of Nazareth!
Don't kill people with lies and twisting the truth! Innocent blood will claim its right from this world to eternity!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Prof. You are totally selective in your presentation of Kagame. You do not even touch why the Kagame downed a plane that carried a president who was negotiating peace in Rwanda, before the genocide.
This guy is Kagame’s puppet
Yes this way of thinking will solve the problem🤦🏿♂️. Blame one person for this whole issue, I swear you guys are ignorant and tribalistic.
@@kingmoreorless2810Ignorant? M23 is trained and supported by Rwanda, that is where the problem is.
If Rwanda was approaching to solve a conflict between brothers in the DRC it did not need to arm and train the M23 and it would have got more support from other African countries and this conflict would have been sorted out.
Rwanda is interested in mineral resources of that area and it is already benefiting from such looting.
As long as the truth is half-baked there won’t be a solution in the DRC. Rwanda must withdraw its military support of the M23 and begin a negotiation that involves the DRC, and all the rebel groups.
Agree@@kingmoreorless2810
This should be projected on big screens in all meetings discussing the security issue in Eastern DRC.
This can not become he’s lying . For the first time I disagree with his opinion. He must be paid for it
As Congolese we know that Rwanda is being used as the Israeli of africa
You don't know the history brother, but one day I hope.
True
Pro. Thanks for the analysis 👌👌👌👌👌we don't want war. God bless Africa
For the first time I don't agree with you professor...
Because you prefer propaganda to truth.
How does your opinion change the fact/truth? Let’s be transformed by the truth and it will set us free
You just want to hear what pleases your ears
I'm free to desagree with someone's opinion I think !!!!
@@bienfaitkasiki826 these are not opinions, this is history. Your can disagree however much your want but that’s exactly how events transpired. Peace ✌️
We learn everyday, thank you professor.
Love Professor Lumumba, he knows so much. Thank you brotha

Actually, he needs to stick to practicing Kenyan law. What he is saying is more his biased opinion rooted in pro-tutsi agenda, and not in historical facts.
