Bro that 50 percent budget expenditure on salary and pension also includes the employees of ministry of defence employees around 40k employees in MOD and their pension also . Cumulative data for soldiers is only 25 percent. An average soldier get paid around 60k during service and half of that in pensions. But officials in MOD gets paid around 1 lakh on average and half in pensions. So you can analyse this data show another aspect of soldiers
-Ve points of your argument are well researched but on the case of average age this will also increase because an agniveer is not considered a soldier during 4 years service. So when they will be able to be called a regular soldier then their age will be around 23 to 25. So after their basic service of 15 years they will retire at age of 38 to 40. Meanwhile regular soldiers before this scheme would have been retiring at average age of 34 to 36. If you pay attention closely it will increase average age of soldiers

I think scheme motive was to save money, reduce average age of soldiers in army, & select best in best candidates for future services. But due to lack of some miscommunication & proper roadmap this scheme is failed. I think it need some improvements instead of removing it entirely. The scheme was introduced in order to reduce revenue expenditure and mordernize the army. In current scenario our army needs modern equipment for tackling China and Pak. ( I also think that MP,s pension should be stopped but it is impossible as no MP would want that to happen) . If you want degree go for NDA. Agniveer is not any academy that will give you a degree. But it will give you a certificate. ( What else can you expect) And if you want to give exams which requires graduation. Do a graduation degree ( you can do it in distance) why do you want to go agniveer? Do a degree and a part time job if needed to earn.

Short service commission for option seems alluring but only the organisation benefits while the officers released are left high and dry without any support: age of relaxation remains 5 yrs even aftr short service has been increased to 10 yr making all released officers ineligible at application stage and there’s no reservation in any govt org for SSC Officers.
I got selected in the technical core as an army clerk "agniveer" but I resigned from there.. because of all types of discrimination which happening in between solder and agniveer. Actually the biggest problem with this scheme is there are many countries where at certain age every individual citizens must serve for their country which is mandatory e.g South Korea&china wether they are celebrity or normal people..but here in India majority of peoples joining armed forces come from very poor background and they dream of making their life better with the salary they get paid..at some point gov should have done the scheme mandatory to every citizen holding PR. And I would like to inform u that please dig in to the majority not some 1/2 agniveers opinions that they are being ill treated or indiscriminated because on the ground after the training session most of the agniveers coming in units
Agniveer scheme is good but required some major changes. •Like 20% guaranteed reservation for agniveer in other gov jobs. •10k minimum pension should be given before agniveer join other gov job. •Tenure of agniveer should increase 1yr more for training period. agnipath should not be stop but time period should be increased to 10 to 14 years

Short service commission for option seems alluring but only the organisation benefits while the officers released are left high and dry without any support: age of relaxation remains 5 yrs even aftr short service has been increased to 10 yr making all released officers ineligible at application stage and there’s no reservation in any govt org for SSC Officers.
I got selected in the technical core as an army clerk "agniveer" but I resigned from there.. because of all types of discrimination which happening in between solder and agniveer.
Remove agniveer scheme as soon as possible . Because the youth of india don't like to agniveer and there are useless benefits...

Agniveer service tenure should be increase likr ssc officers ....minimum 10 years ...if their is facility for officers why the same thing shouldn't apply for the gd soldiers....

Yes, modify & improve the scheme. But those who just shouted against it, may we know if anyone offered these 10th pass youth any other jobs? We need young people in the armed forces & there is no Conscription ( like 20 other countries eg USA, UK, CHINA etc). If you don't like this scheme, don't join.

This scheme is a great opportunity for youths to be disciplined. Man i actually wanted to serve, atleast for 4 years. Why are people pretending there isn't other ways to join and become permenant?

Actually the biggest problem with this scheme is there are many countries where at certain age every individual citizens must serve for their country which is mandatory e.g South Korea&china wether they are celebrity or normal people..but here in India majority of peoples joining armed forces come from very poor background and they dream of making their life better with the salary they get paid..at some point gov should have done the scheme mandatory to every citizen holding PR.
And I would like to inform u that please dig in to the majority not some 1/2 agniveers opinions that they are being ill treated or indiscriminated because on the ground after the training session most of the agniveers coming in units

Agniveer scheme is good but required some major changes.
•Like 20% guaranteed reservation for agniveer in other gov jobs.
•10k minimum pension should be given before agniveer join other gov job.
•Tenure of agniveer should increase 1yr more for training period.
On other hand competition is good for finding best out of best

Agniveer is the new outcasts in the Army. Laughing stock who got 6 months training. Fit only as infantry or general duties in army. Unfit for Airforce or Navy which are very highly technical forces.

What i feel is agniveer scheme ma changes karney chaiya first of all pay perks leave and other benefits sab same karney chaiya after that 25% sa hata kar 85%karna chaiya jisme vahi bahar jayege jo physically or medically unfit hote ha but but but unko physically and medically fit hone k lia chance dena chaiya atleast 6 to 9 months ka and if koi voluntarily jana chata ha that should be considered kyu ki mene dekha ha bohot sa log after 5yrs naukree nai karna chatae ha unko jane dena chaiya ya physical and medical and volunteer valo ko mila kar 15%ko jane dena chaiya baki ko as normal soldier benefits milna chaiya or jo vo 15% jaa rahe he unko as promised 12 lakh rs and reservations milna chaiya that would help i guess
