    Thanks so much for watching! I’ve chosen @muluavila for the supplies 🙌 keep your eyes peeled for more like this in the future!

    That misprint on the watercolor pad would be so devastating if it was my collab. Crediting the wrong artist is a massive oversight that shouldn't have happened. I hope they at least apologized to Malin.

    I am in the "can't afford to buy any but love to see what it is in them" category. I love the Advent openings, it builds the excitement without the guilty feeling of cost! The second was by far more worth it.

    I love Emily Artful and I love how I could tell that was her art work on that one. I love the way it matched the medium she loves to use

      I bought that one just to support Emily Artful, even though I'm not a huge fan of Arteza supplies. I also didn't get the little scraper with the modeling paste.

    The second calendar was definitely my favorite. With the round canvases you could make cute ornaments and then put the vanish on them so they won’t ruin through the years definitely wish I had gotten it for myself this year!

  • @ThePreppingArtists
    @ThePreppingArtists ปีที่แล้ว +117

    I like the larger calendar but for $80 u could get a lot of supplies that u really would use. I’m an acrylic artist so that is my go to! Thanks for doing this Chloe and good luck to everyone! Merry Christmas!

    • @SlothDaan
      @SlothDaan ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yeah this is why I won't buy it, I just don't know what to do with guash or oil paint. I'd rather spend that $80 on things I all want and would use.

    • @annnoyez
      @annnoyez ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too. Prefer to spend 80$ on watercolor supplies. But i love to watch them opened to see whats inside. But no... for 80$ i can fill up my schmincke watercolor palet. And i am always looking if i find something on sale to add my collection... and always tubes, not halfpans. With tubes you can fill up your own pans and they is much more paint for your money... ❤

  • @catsupy
    @catsupy ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Tbf, Emily has gone through A LOT, so I really commend my girl for getting such a collab! Hopefully you get it next year (I love your work too!!) As for the misprint on the second box, I really hope Arteza fixes their mistake. Could you imagine getting such a collab and having your name wiped off your work???
    Not too sure about the price of these (like you said, it'd be cheaper to just buy everything separately) but I suppose you're buying for the charm of opening each individual day??? Also i'd love to try that grey paint. I usually use black mixed with another color to give it more depth, but hey I'd try with grey too!!

    🎨🎨The first calendar is my favourite and if I was lucky enough to succeed in the giveaway the art supplies would go straight to my amazing coworker. She is always drawing and painting pictures and often goes out, finds a subject to draw or paint and then leaves it sowere for other people to find. I think I might even buy the small watercolour pad for her as they look high quality and would be perfect for here travels.🖼️🖌️✏️📒🎨

    The larger calendar is such a dream omg, I completely agree with the suggestion of adding a challenge or a little thing to create or make each day, it would help add more excitement to the first calendar 🥰

  • @lucreziasantoro7127

    I think both boxes seem fun, but I like the value of getting double thr art supplies in the second box. As for favorite supply I think it's super thoughtful and nice to include the acrylic varnish!

  • @LYDSDIYS
    @LYDSDIYS ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My favorite box that you opened was the $80 one. I really liked the fact that it opened like a book and it was tied with a beautiful bow (it was a gift that you got to open). My favorite art supply was the acrylic paint.

  • @marielanv2768
    @marielanv2768 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Both boxes are very nice, but I prefer the second one. My initial thought for the round canvases is, of course - ornaments. They will make very unique ornaments which can become a family tradition. And I really liked the modeling paste. I've never used one but seems very interesting.

  • @CreativaArtly

    I’d say the small one would be pretty worth it. I love Emily Artful’s stuff and am proud of her that she got to do that. It was some much needed joy for her after the mess she had to go thru with another certain former TH-camr cough cough.

  • @Lynnthedragonquester

  • @kaylacheyenne9481
    @kaylacheyenne9481 ปีที่แล้ว

    My favorite art supply from these boxes is probably the watercolor pads because they are the perfect travel size for painting on the go with the added bonus of having artwork from fellow artists featured on the covers! 😊 I would have to say that the second advent calendar (24 days) is my favorite because it is heavily targeted towards painters just like me while including variety of different types of paint that can be used in an infinite amount of ways! Thank you so much for this video, Chloe. Merry Christmas and God bless! 🎄🌟❤️

  • @KelliConan
    @KelliConan ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I don't like these random art supplies that don't go together. That's a lot of money for a very random types of paint/art mediums. There should be a watercolor (which can also include gauche) calendar, a oil paint calendar, an acrylic (which includes hard and soft body paints and the paint markers) calendar, pencil/pen calendar (oil pastels, alcohol markers, watercolor markers, color pencils, fine liners, gel pens). That would help with picking an art advent calendar 'cause these have too much watercolor and gauche in them. Plus the color range is meh to me. Some people might wanna try out specific types of art mediums and might not like that they spend money on mostly stationary or watercolor/gauche.

  • @dorotawoosz1397
    @dorotawoosz1397 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the watercolor paint and the smoothness and dreaminess of it, so anything watercolor based from boxes would make me sooo happy! Of course, the second box was better and I really enjoyed the style of it ☺️

    I think the 80$ one has a better value, but I love the art on both of them! I like how in both of them you get 2 paint brushes because, like you said, there is usually just one. Thank you so much for creating this channel. I like the second one, but not because it's the more expensive of the two. It's more cohesive and of course the packaging is magnificent. My favorite art supply has to be the pallet knife because I immediately thought you should use it to open the windows of the advent calendar, and what did you do? You thought smarter, not harder. My next favorite supply would be the modeling paste. It might be fun to sculpt a little snowman on top of the round canvas. 😊

    Hello Chloe, I love watching you open these as I would never buy on for myself! I am much to particular of my art supplies. I will not even buy the Art subscriptions boxes like ScrawlrBox. Now I have purchased a ScrawlrBox from a previous month, they often offer after the month has passed. I got Kasey Golden's and DrawingWiffWaffles boxes! They were a real joy to work with! It had more unique art supplies and even though it was more expensive, I think it was worth the money. My favourite art supply was the watercolour pad because of the size- I love doing mini watercolour paintings and the size of the sheets is perfect!

    The secound calendar was my favourite. I actually really liked that it started with a canvas because my initial thought upon seeing it was that I totally would have gotten that and thought okay part 2 of advent activities is to now add one thing to the canvas each day throughout the month and see what the final photo ends up as. And as it turned out many of the supplies in the rest of the calendar could have been used towards this secound advent project. So although it seems simplistic to say, my favourite element of the calendar and favourite art supply was that it began with a canvas.

    I prefer the second calender. I feel like the assortment of items felt a little more inspiring. I am an artist who works with every single medium i can get my hands on...acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, clay, resin, fiber, tie dye, stained glass..and i also am a nail technician who specializes in every type of nails and nail art. I just turned 40 this year. And after an almlst 20 year hiatus from creating art for life, financial and mental health issues...i have recently found the strength to take control and create again! And it has helped me immensely. All that to say...i love your channel and its such a source of inspiration for me to sit and watch and get ideas and knowledge from. Im slowly buidling up my art supplies (on a very small income) because i didnt have any for so long. And i know that if you recommend it to me, its worth my money ❤ and watching you, moriah, mira, rey etc..feels like having my own little community of artists and friends i can draw experience on! I always appreciate your honest feedback and willingness to compare to something more accessible like Amazon! The second box had to be my favorite as the design was beautiful, I feel like the addition of the Satin acrylic varnish was thoughtful!!

    LOVE both calendars and love arteza. Looks like the second one is better value for money!
    I love metallic pens to finish off art work with a bit of bling. Thanks for the real videos Chloe!

    I have never really purchased an advent calendar as u said it's kind of a luxury but always loved the idea of getting something new everyday, btw the second one is way more better as for $30 u get double the art supplies plus the varnish was new addition.

    The second is my favorite because of the variety of things to try and getting the canvas. The white pen, the brushes, and the knife are probably the most useful, but my favorite might be the modeling paste since I’ve never tried it.

    I agree with some of the other comments, that the larger box had some things that I have never worked with before. I think that would give me an opportunity to try something completely new. I have never used oil paint and now I have to look up modeling paste because its got me curious. Thank you for unboxing those, it was fun to see what was in them.

    I think for value the 2nd advent calendar is the best. I love that they included varnish for your projects.

    I think I liked the first one better, and I love the round canvas idea you could even make them into little ornaments if you had other supplies laying around

    Honestly, my favorite thing is the modeling paste for slapping on a canvas! I've always wanted to work with a highly textured canvas like that, and I've seen so many professional artists do but they do not like the share the "how", so I'm excited to get that info in general! As for which was best, I'd say the second because it had more colors (including many of my favorites!)

    I love all the different paints. Gives me ideas for combinations I may not have thought to try myself.

    Happy Holidays Chloe! I prefer the second box because of the color palette and, you know, just more stuff! Favorite art supply is the Aqua acrylic paint. So pretty!
