    Keith Jackson on the TV play by play. Then Gene Deckerhoff on the Seminole Radio Play by Play: absolute all timers.

    This wasn’t our best team but this team was special to me. This is when I feel in love with college football and FSU at 7 years old 🍢🍢

      This team was considered one of the best ever even with the loss to ND. You look at the roster its crazy how good they were. I would take this FSU team against any of the FSU teams and I loved all the FSU teams. 99 was special and so was 13 be hard to pick a winner but my money on Charlie and 93, my age my be showing a little bit LOL

      Imo, this is easily the best FSU team.

      This team is probably the best FSU team ever. 1 loss aside. They played 7 ranked teams. Had the #1 scoring offense 43.1 ppg and # 1 defense 9.9 pag! In the nation. And they best offensive player in school history.

    • @seminole17910

      I think this was their best team especially when you factor in the schedule. They played almost the entire Top 5 that year and three were on the road including @ #2 ND in November. I have been to ND in November. It's very cold and very windy. Not the best environment for a precision passing attack. The winds were like 25 MPH that day with a slippery field. Go watch the highlights. FSU and ND players slipping on several plays. Ward fell down and lost like 15 yards inside the FSU 20 yard line. Terrible game plan that day. They tried to get too cute like in the 1991 Michigan game. Should have just pounded the rock more with Dunn, Floyd and Jackson with a short to intermediate passing game. Warrick Dunn didn't get the ball nearly enough. Still drives me insane to this day.

    If you count Wuerffels RS year in ninety -two. He faced FSU seven times while at Florida! Two more times than he faced any SEC team . Thats crazy

      @@BAYAREA-kd1ig As a Seminole fan, I'd have to agree. As much as I hated Danny Wuerffel back then, I have nothing but respect for the man. He was a damn good quarterback, probably the best the Gators ever had. Not the strongest arm ever, but he was tough, and he was very accurate, and a damn good leader.

    Have always enjoyed watching sports from the West Coast all my life, but let me tell you something.....I WAS PISSED that they didn't show this game on the West Coast. They showed the Penn St./Michigan St. game instead (which turned out to be a good game) because it had Rose Bowl ties Pac-10/Big-10. In other words thanks for posting this.

    39:55. Let's hear that again Keith. "FSU played the toughest schedule in the country." I hate it when they doubt this team. They played a gauntlet that year including the #1 team (Nebraska) and the #2 team on the road. UF finished in the Top 5 and Miami was #3 when they played them. UNC, Clemson and Virginia were also ranked. They finished #1 in scoring offense and defense that year.

    Gators led Spurrier may have loss one game to the Seminoles of Florida State in the Swamp, then Auburn came in 1994, and it won't be the last until Alabama and Florida State did in 1999 end of the Century.

    • @TheWakeup011
      @TheWakeup011 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you were saying at the end there. All I know is that UF wet the bed in Spurrier's home finale vs. a Tennessee team they were better than. Cost them a shot at the natty.
      Not that they were gonna beat Miami, but......
