I was there that night. It was awesome!!!!! Peter Warrick and Mike Vick put on a show. Great game. Great season!!! FSU was the first "Wire to Wire" champ ever. GO NOLES ------->
Imagine, A. Boldin could not play on this team. Stacked this team was! Go Noles. Big win last night. On a side note, Musburger was the very best college football commentator.
And FSU had Randy Moss recruited but he got in trouble and was forced to leave, this team woulda been even scarier. Idk if Moss would be around for this particular year but Randy Moss and Peter Warrick on the same team would have been a Cheat Code.
I wouldn't go that far. Florida State was CLEARLY the superior team, but Tech had some athletes as well, and not to mention the most talented guy on EITHER team, in Mike Vick (Tho Peter Warrick was electrifying in his own right)
FSU wouldn't be denied that night. VA Tech played their hearts out but the Noles had too much talent and were focused. They were not losing that night.
Oh please. FSU held the #1 ranking from start to finish. First Wire to Wire champ and one of only two. (2004 USC being the other). Nebraska was probably the 2nd best team that year but got upset by Texas who they later beat in the Big 12 Championship game.
That FSU team would have beaten 95 Nebraska and 01 Miami. Vick was a wildcard that would’ve given any team problems. Without him this game would’ve been very lopsided. Too much talent and speed on defense for 95 Nebraska to have been successful with their offense. Warrick would’ve been the difference against 01 Miami. 99 FSU is one of the most underrated teams in history

Mike Vick was absolutely electric as an 18-19 yr old
For sure. Weinke was a solid 28 year old.
"A Southern-style Sugar Bowl" and "A Southern-style national championship game" between Virginia Tech and Florida State. R.I.P. Bobby Bowden.
The first 4:42
Holy crap Janikowski. Jesus Almighty.
Never stop posting these 💗
Weike to Dugans looked almost like Winston to Greene Against Auburn in the Natty in 2013 , both WR split double teams for big gains
Keen observation and spot on
I thought that pass to Minnis late in the game looked really similar, except Minnis didn’t break free
I remember recording this game on vhs

Coles was booted from this team too if I’m not mistaken. Crazy talent
@@mariusloveless7880 Moss and Warrick would have played together most likely in 1996 and 1997. In 1996, FSU had Warrick Dunn too. That is nuts.
Randy moss was already in league by then, he would of been there when Peter was a freshman but it would of been two rings along with this one
Favorite channel on youtube lol
Thank you very much!
The talent gap in this game is insane

Penn st was really the best team in the country in 99

Wait, what video are they in?
FSU would’ve curb stomped Penn state in happy valley
@jokerhaha5123 No they wouldn't have. They had Lavar Arrington Cortney Brown and Brandon Short. An NFL defense
@@bobbydenezza7795 This wasn’t the NFL, none of them are covering Peter Warrick. Penn State would be lucky to score
Even the kickers had huge shoulder pads back then 😂🤣

27:37 how is that not a first down?
He hit the ref so they probably took it away from him lol
These are both my college football teams and that is straight facts 💯
wienke was trash low key lol.
Good enough to win the natty
Better than the dog killer that night, and that’s what mattered
He didnt play better than Vick that night or ever....@@wizskinz9987
