People like you are in for a serious treat. At least it’ll feel brand new to you. Nostalgia is cool, but can’t help but feel slighted they they took the easy route of just giving us updated maps from the past.
Hopefully, you'll have a fun time as we did back in 2009, but the way people play today might ruin it.

I've been hoping for years that they would do this, or even a remaster like COD4 in 2016. MW2 maps have always been the reason I have never stopped playing the 09 edition. No other game compares!

I love how they show the movement in prob 80fov, imagine the speed on 120. im hyped
It also looked like it was on 80fov and the base movement speed appears faster then mw2 on 120

The Movement looks and is so much faster, that’s crazy and its in normal fov as well. It will get even crazier
I hope we see Trailer Park, Bailout, Fuel, Carnival, Storm, and Salvage re-created as well.

They said it will be all the 16 original maps at launch, there is no certainty if they will work on these DLC maps, but I agree they were truly special. MW2 is the only Call of Duty which almost all base and DLC maps were absolutely awesome.

I can’t believe it, seeing those maps that are so nostalgic, can’t wait to try them again, It makes me feel like BF2042 when they announced Portal and all those maps and modes from the old battlefield!

Only my rich friends had wifi back in 09'. I had to steal from my neighbors but thy locked their wifi eventually and that was it for MP for me. Can't wait to play these maps online again.

I just want to say thank you to Sledgehammer Games for doing this. These maps mean a lot to many of us. I'm really excited!
Thanking them for what? They didn’t do this for the community, they saved a ton on development costs by doing this, and it makes marketing the game way easier because they’re targeting the nostalgic factor to try and bring back all the old players that they’ve lost.

There's nothing to thank them for. They just copied infinity wards work from 14 years ago and they are now trying to make it look like they've worked really hard to make the maps look the same as before.

I’m so conflicted on this, because while the maps look great. and I like the idea of having all the best cod maps packed into one game I also don’t know how to feel abt getting exclusively remade maps this time around.

People who play cod have to open their eyes 👀 and demand more from this company called Activision to bring us new ideas, new maps and innovation in cod because if we continue like this they will bring recycled cod recicle in which over time we will get bored quickly.
They said they'll include new maps but idk just hope they'll give devs enough time to improve their games
@@coltyt9529 The development cycle of these games is now three years instead of the two years that it took to develop MW2. The focus on what that development is spent on has changed drastically and I wouldn't be surprised if microtransactions and other items on the store take a lot of resources away from other areas.

Gunplay can have a huge impact on how a map flows so here's hoping they don't mess up with the weapon balancing.

I never played the og MWII maps aside from rust. Excited to see the return of some of the most iconic maps in fps history but I do also wish we got new maps too.

OG players will love this for obvious reasons, for new players these maps will be like a brand new pack of maps so it’s sounds like a win win situation
1:25 were mantling perks equipped in this demo? or was that base level movement speed? Anyway bringing these mantling buffs to warzone with slide cancelling is a huge win. Hopefully chuting will be adjusted commensurately also.
Call of Duty has always pleased its fans with new cool games, and this time a new version of the game will be released and I hope that the game will not disappoint me
Its already a dissapointed reason why they told us before mw2 that the game would last 2years also getting the remasterd maps from og mw2 into the current game and in the end they are going to sell us mw2 V2,0 for another 80$ with just the name MW3

These maps are legit what sold this for me. When i first saw the ads for cod 3 i thought it looked just like cod 2 and there was no way i was going to get this one until i saw the maps. But having grown up playing all the cod games from WAW up, i have expected more from COD for a while. Thank you for finally bringing back the oldies that we have missed. I still dont know why you are naming these games the same as the previous ones. Just remake the old ones and i know more people would be happy. COD has taken a weird direction for a while now. I just want the old games back but remastered.

The maps look gorgeous. I'm genuinely so excited to play on them again and I loved when voldemort said they went with getting the original feel of the maps as close as they could. It seems like the devs have put a lot of love and care into these iconic maps! I wonder which ones we'll get to play in the beta

I’m really hopeful this game. Please give players a CHOICE to play their own game style, perks supporting all games styles, and perks have balanced counter perks. and… make sure there is dead silence as perk(or what ever you wanna call perks in this game) so people can play fast(rushing)if they chose to and stop supporting camping.

I've been playing them over 10 years and it's gotten to a point where a little video clip and people smiling won't convince me. If you can't vote for the maps in multiplayer it doesn't matter, if the map icon doesn't show the enemies location in red or etc it doesn't matter. If you can't jump in your friends free for all lobby or etc it doesn't F****** Matter. We've all been let down for years now with the product we've received for our money. I've been online with friends for over a Decade and can't play against them, vote for maps,and maps been getting worse. I hope it's better and can at least think about the customers and give them a option to vote and play against and with you PlayStation friend
"Remastering" maps has been so overdone lately since it saves a lot of development money for Activision. Only having remastered maps won't help with gameplay longevity either. But this is apparently all that Sledgehammer can offer. Then again if you look at their previous releases, Advanced Warfare was the only one that didn't have major issues when it launched almost a decade ago.

Low key, probably not going to like that they added stuff. Like news ways to reach a location and this you can mantle. That affects the map flow and gameplay. Maybe in some cases it'll be better or okay, like if it is campy or is a location meant to me traversed quickly.
Don't know why it has taken them so long to decide to remake all these maps and to not even just have the remaster have mp like the 1st mw.
I'm going to try and not let the huge burst of nostalgia make me instantly pre-order this... Must... Wait... For... Beta...

Childhood dream has finally come true. I am so happy and in disbelief it is actually happening. Last time I played these maps I was 14 years old on the ps3. Those were the days, this is the closest we will get to old cod in a modern age of gaming.

If you were under a rock this whole time and haven't played cod since , u were 13, I would see all the hate cod has gotten over the decades.... or at least look into ummm, not even a year old that the current COD game is and how unfinished it is with only 4 multiplayer maps to play because cod didn't get "proper licenses" to put in "NEW maps" and copied cites from all over the world and they didn't allow it to be in the current COD game

Looks amazing to be fair! Movement looks crisp and the maps have a more vivid tone to them. Tried playing the OG mw2 and sometimes my old eyes let me down compared to back then. But for once I'm really looking forward to this COD 💪💪🙌
Imagine paying 70 dollars for this game for all these maps and then paying more money to make your guns sound and look like the original modern warfare 2 version and they release the modern warfare 2 remastered multiplayer in like a year, now that would be a cash grab
