    Thanks for this video, Sam. I ended up getting this for my truck ... our little family of 5 is headed out for some national park adventures this summer and during the week I'm still needing to check emails and such so looking forward to having this setup.

      Thanks for watching Greg! Sounds like a fun trip! I’ve found it to be really helpful in low service areas. If you aren’t seeing it boost your signal, try putting your phone next to the boosting pad, then putting your phone in airplane mode, wait a few seconds and let it find service again using the Weboost. I’ve had the best results that way.

    I'm looking into getting 1 for my.2010 CM limited TRD tundra and 1 for a bumper pull camper. I have a camper top and a magnet mount cb antenna on the roof of my truck.

    Have you been through an automatic car wash with the antenna mounted?

    • @SamBischof
      @SamBischof  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have with the antenna. I have it mounted in a way that it just pushes back at an angle. But I no longer use auto car washes with the vinyl wrap.

    I just ordered the same one. I have to figure out where to mount the antenna on my Mazda CX5. I was thinking of ordering a roof basket, that way I have the bars of that to attach it to, but I don't really need a full basket. I wonder if there is just a single bar that I can attach to my roof rack cross bars.

      Hope you enjoy the weboost! I had to jimmy rig for sure to get mine mounted. I just recently moved it to the front mounted to a bracket that I attached to the hood mounts for my front LED pods.

    is there a monthly subscription payment? is this device ok to provide signal to watch youtube/ netflix "for the kids" while camping remotely? last question... can this provide signal to different providers simultaneously ( Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint)? or only one provider can receive signal at a given time?

    • @SamBischof
      @SamBischof  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great questions! No subscription required. It’s simply a booster, so it doesn’t matter what carrier you use. So as such, it only boosts existing signal. I wouldn’t rely on it for streaming but that depends on where you are. Also the device needs to be within 36” or less of the interior module to get the benefits. I use it mostly for emergencies or if there are things I need to address when I’m out and about. Work stuff. They do work really well. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

    I saw you were on LTE network. Did you actually try it on 5GE? Did you have to fiddle with any settings or anything? My LTE worked great until AT&T forced me onto 5GE.

    • @SamBischof
      @SamBischof  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes sorry! I should have mentioned that. I switched the settings in my phone because 5G was spotty here and I got more reliability on LTE. But I did use it with 5G when I got my new 12 pro and it worked exactly like it did on LTE. Better coverage in general and better signal strength. When I did these tests I was just way out there where I didn’t have 5G access. Thanks for watching!

    • @misterbulger

      @@SamBischof I wish I could switch to LTE automatically but it looks like AT&T has forced us onto 5G now. The manual option is now gone so I'm completely screwed! It auto switches to LTE in the boonies though. Really crappy business practices. I feel better about spending the $$$$ now.

    • @SamBischof
      @SamBischof  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sucks! I do like that I can still turn 5G off. I guess you just gotta spend more time in the boonies to get your LTE haha! Enjoy the weboost. We’ve liked having it so far.

      @@SamBischof I just have to figure out how to mount it up now. I wonder if it would work well mounted inside my fiberglass camper shell? I don't have a roof rack or really anywhere to screw it to.

    • @SamBischof
      @SamBischof  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It says in the instructions that it should be up and clear of the cab. So I’m assuming that wouldn’t work great. Before I got my bed rack I ghetto mounted it to my bed rail system with a curtain rod haha. But it worked.

    I’m really disappointed that the truck in the video was not the same as in the thumbnail. I was looking forward to seeing that rig but then got bate and switched for a simple white truck.

    I have a Tundra, installed the Drive Reach with the magnetic antenna. I have tried two of them and get interference between the two antennas as indicated by the red blinking light on the amplifier. Spent lots of time talking to support with no solution. Did you run into that issue at all?

    • @kellogg2185

      There can't be "no signal". There has to be some signal for it to amplify enough for your phone to pick it up.
