I have to say Im a fan of not only this particular knife, but several of your knives and will be buying more without a doubt.
Loving that sheath, definately a good looking knife can't go wrong with a large Bowie for a do everything knife. Great to see it standing up to the abuse you put out through. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.

When it comes to knife designs, I do have a soft spot for the spear point although I only one one. After the khukuri and tanto this is probably my third favorite tip design, not that the khukuri is a tip design!

When my finances have recovered from my recent khukuri commitments I may have to do get your ok to get KHHI to do a custom for me. Donnie... The same WOW, WHOA that happened to me with the OEF Defender has happened to me "again" with the Roughlander!!! That one right there, is my next blade!!!
Major upgrade from the rough rider for sure, my guess on that lower retention strap is in case its turned upside down it can't slide down and expose any of the blade.
Donnie my father and brother both were Marines , so I have the utmost respect for Veterans so what I saw the otherday here on TH-cam sickens me in a most particular way . I saw a TH-cam channel basically steal from a Veteran owned knife company , The Hard2Hurt channels new video starts with him saying dont i usually make fun of knives for self defense, Yes so why am I doing this video ? Because I wanted these knives . He then goes about disrespecting Skallywag Tactical while opening the products by opening a package that isnt a knife its their tshirt he looks at the cam smiles and throws it on the floor like trash because its not a knife he wanted . Then he describes the knife , and we in the knife community know its a chisel grind but he descibes it as a triangular blade to purposely keep a wound opened to bleed someone out like a illegal trench knife, he spends more time saying who he will give these knives to then any specs he never says what they are made of just the practice ones are lite and the real ones are heavy . To conclude he then opens the biggest blade they make wich is like $425 and says I told them I needed this for my video and I didnt I talked them into it because I wanted it . So he admits he scammed a Veteran owned knife company. I say this to you as a brother of the blade I have been in messages back and forth with Skallywag Tactical and the told me they are always looking for good people to work with , I thought of you a fellow vet . I went through their latest video on the Skallywag Tactical TH-cam channel so if interested hit them up there . I just dont like a dirt bag steeling from a Veteran who worked their ass off to make a great product for people like us .Sorry for the long rant .

That knife is dead serious! If that one tree had still been standing, you would have cut it down PDQ. I found it on their site and bookmarked it. I've bought 4 Bowies in the past month, maybe I'll order your version in the near future. It's tempting. My current goal is to score a decent Western W49, probably from eBay.
Good video to wake up to in the morning. They did a really nice job on both the knife on the sheath. Impressive to see how it dealt with the sycamore. Be interesting to see how it handles Australian Gum Trees or Ironwood. Aus Redwood would be a bit of an ask though - that stuff breaks axes and can wreck chainsaw teeth.

That is a nice knife mate. My favourite heavy duty chopper is a 12” fighting bowie from Nepal. That’s 1.2kgs of steel! For lighter work, my next best chopper is a Condor pack Golok. That’s a machine. I have a couple of Kukri House Kukris but they’re for display. They can be used and are shaving shape but they’re on display.
It is a beauty mate. One of the Kukris I bought came with Kukri House Kukri stand. It holds two kukris from KH and one in front. It’s set up in our bedroom. Our house is not one to be breaking into.😉👍🏼 My bloody machete beside the bed bit me the other night, I slid out of bed & the tip scraped up the back of my leg. It’s usually out of the way but I moved it. Just freshly sharpened too.😂 I cut myself more than I should, comes with enjoying knives I guess.
I messaged them about it today & Shilpa Lame sent me all the specs & price , they knew exactly what I was talking about, it comes in at $210.34, but I seen something about 20% of at xmas on Dbad knifes.
