Those smart carts didn't seem to stack inside each other so you are going to need a large area to store them when not in use.

The implications of this is scary. I don't live, and die by my phone. It's for texting, and making phone calls ONLY. Half the time or more, I don't even have it with me. I prefer the old fashion way. Period!

I grew up before all this technology and can live without it if I had to. Younger people cannot imagine life without technology because it's all they've ever known. I'm a old dog, but I can still write in cursive.

@@BabbleTop A lot of experts say will be case and as someone who studies tech I know this will be the case. Robots will take over our jobs its just we will do jobs that do not exist yet. People always fear the unknown. Some of these ideas in the video may not ever take off. Again a lot of ideas regarding tech do not catch on.
Some grocery stores need to provide better prices, better prepared food products, plus stores that don't stink! There's one big grocery chain who I have stopped shopping at because their store stinks, has prepared and other items that have made me sick!

I have one: The reason why when you walk into a convenience store there’s a chime isn’t just to let the cashier know when people come in or go out, it’s so that on the night shift it wakes the cashier up

My local grocery store offers free pickup and delivery. Haven't tried it, but I'm guessing they charge a lot for delivery!

A lot of it does good they get frustrated because they do not how to use it or what it does. Educated people on tech i think is important. I think everyone should take a tech class. I took one and tech does more good than bad.

I already use scan and go at Fairway, It's fantastic! And my local Stop & Shop already has those in-store robots milling up and down the aisles. They get in my way.

I don't like technical and/or digital changes.. I'm 51 years old, yes, old.. I'm hoping I'm not forced to make "necessary" changes. 😑

I agree…. There are pros and cons to technology. However for some of us these changes are absolutely overwhelming!!! I do miss the times of actually interacting with actual people. I have gotten use to ordering most of my things “on line” however this past weekend I went into a mall ( a thing of the past ) it was absolutely FANTASTIC !! I interacted with actual people , I got to actually touch, try on , see the real colors in the Poncho do a sensory experience when trying on the product prior to buying it . Normally a Poncho would IMO be scratchy or irritating to my skin. This Poncho was like a super soft wonderful warm classy ( dressy ) piece of clothing with gladly paid to much for. I would have absolutely never ordered this over the internet without the personal experience. It was like I stepped back in time …… I absolutely miss those days. However I also love the convenience of ordering things and not having to leave the house and stand in long never ending lines .
Actually, oil and water do mix, you need a vacuum to do it. Mayonaise isn't oil and water though, it's vinegar and egg, which doesn't have a problem mixing in a blender.
Mayonnaise has: oil, egg yolk, and an acid, either vinegar or lemon juice.
Oil does not mix with water.
Vinegar is the acid, and egg whites are used, not yolk Anything other than vinegar and egg whites, would be something other than mayonaise. And yes, oil does mix with water in a vacuum. And, you've proven my point of it not being oil and water.

Most people don't like the idea of self checkout and lack of employees, so why would anyone think that people would want to shop at a store that's self checkout with no employees whatsoever? Also, I'm fairly certain that it would be illegal for a store to track their customers around the store.

There would be a certain legal issues for sure. But here is the thing people in the future people will be doing jobs that do not exist yet so a lack of jobs does not worry me. Also I think most stores know this and will keep some employees even if they have less of them because you will always need humans do to certain things. I have studied tech and I fairy convinced of this.

They will always need people to do certain things and in the future people will do jobs that do not exist yet. So there will not be less jobs just different types of jobs.
I call BS....I have to log into my account, then my deals from the website at home...no Internet wifi at the store, take a photo of the scan bar of the item, then input my club card and still it rings up wrong. Albertsons is great example. Meanwhile, the poor guy behind me has melting ice cream and is annoyed..The manager is equally confused and perplexed, blames corporate..but the deals never, ever wind up in my favor. Screw all that...

The idea of gathering or pack your groceries, and then having to unpack them to scan them, and then pack them back again, is so outdated. The "scan and go" type of technology will probably dominate the next decade.

people choose the products there will be via an app
on the app, there is a huge catalog, people choose the products that will show up in the store
the store is constantly being supplied with the products people chose.
