If you include departure and arrival time zones, it is 6!! You would cross through 4 time zones. the 6 zones are nfld, atlantic, eastern, central, mountain and pacific. Your argument would make the original statement invalid as they would only be crossing four time zones. There are 6 time zones from Hawaii to New York, but you would only fly over four of them.
Glad you enjoyed your flight. I lived in Hawaii for 3 years and flew my little brother out to see me on Hawaiian. The iPad impressed the hell out of him. And yes the food is good. As a Travel Agent, I booked my daughter and son in law out f San Diego on Hawaiian for their anniversary trip. The flight attendants found out and upgraded them and gave them a bottle of champagne. I love the Aloha spirit.
So I just took this exact flight, but I was in Economy Class (38G on both flights). I count myself lucky, as I was the only person in my row. I found the flight enjoyable - we even received a meal in economy! The crew was great on both flights, going around the plane every 30 mins or so asking people if they wanted water. I actually took this flight based on this video. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I recently flew with Hawaiian to Auckland, NZ and loved it!!! It was great!! Very relaxing, food was good, and amenities we're great!! Definitely would fly with them again!

I fly HA a lot including HNL/JFK/HNL. It is worth mentioning that HA provides free meal in economy even from west coast. Also free Mai Tai in coach. They do a good job of bringing spirit of Hawaii onto plane for entire trip. Hope your girlfriend enjoyed Hawaii.
Yea i was in JFK day after a big snow storm and it was a pretty cool feeling getting to the HA counter and getting alohas right away. Made me forget where I was.
I’ve flown on the A330 and A340 many times from New York to my native country of Sweden (no, unfortunately, not first class) on Scandinavian Airlines many times. Very nice planes! I also like flying with SAS a lot. That is my childhood airline. When we lived in Sweden back in the 70s and we flew to visit the United States, it was always on a Scandinavian Airlines Boeing 747.

Your videos are my favorite airline-related videos to watch because you are SO lively and seem like a such genuine person. Keep up the great work with this channel!
Considering how prominent Suzanne is on recent videos (and me assuming she is your companion on this flight from years ago), it is amusing and kind of cute how you respect her anonymity.

Hi Jeb I really enjoyed getting to meet you that morning at Logan. It look like you had a great flight. I am looking for future videos and possibly meeting you again. -Jacob
I moved to the Big Island from LAX, Los Angeles, California. But we drove there from Oregon. Where I used to live. It’s a super nice airport and our pilot and flight attendants were super cool. 😎Hawaiian airlines is awesome. It was my first flight, I’m looking forward to my second ever flight to visit Oregon.

I considered taking HNL to JFK Hawaiian but opted for delta HNL to ATL as it left at a better time. Hawaiian is nice because they are the only airline that serves meals in economy on all flights between the mainland and Hawaii. Have a great trip!
Beautiful video. The Optimares Maxima, the seat Hawaiian uses for their business class, is one of my favorites in design. However, I've never had the chance to fly in it. I've been looking all over for a video that demonstrates how someone uses that footwell thing. Thanks so much
Jeb is a smart man, didn’t goto Hawaii without his girlfriend. Great review as always. Were you shocked about the Priority Pass Lounge in Boston not being all that great.
Hawaiian Air has some of the best service on the planet. Flying on them constantly when i still lived at home in Hawaii and having family work as Flight Attendants. Hawaiian has lounges but they just started the far east routes
Jeb, your vids are just so entertaining to watch. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you've been putting in to these vids. Regards, from Canada

Excellent video. I went to college in Boston, so it always holds a place dear to my heart. I now live in Honolulu and see the planes make that wide arc into the Honolulu airport over the ocean from my lanai.
Not really. NZ, South East Asia and pacific islands are all pretty close. Even Hawai’i is only 5 hrs from Sydney. If you’re going to London or NY it’s a lot but anywhere else is pretty much the same.
@@imMetallicOSMMy bad I was confused with LA. But yeah, direct flights Sydney to Honolulu are only 9.5 hrs. Still quicker to get there than a lot of the US even! And yeah obviously if you don't live near a major airport, like in any country, it will take considerably longer because you'll need a connecting flight to a major airport.
I love Hawaiian first class... however maybe they don't have a lounge yet since its a very new location. Idk, maybe they will in the future. Great video tho!
looks like a awesome flight between Boston and Hawaii, specially for the food, it looks tasty. Finally the detail of somo room to geat out of the seat was so nice. I hope to watch more videos like this in the future!!!
Thanks Jeb, entertaining and informative as always! I like a window seat and had always been turned off by Hawaiian's 2-2-2 config on such a long flight but the innovative way they give direct aisle access is nice to see. IMO there are still better ways into HNL but I'd definitely consider Hawaiian after seeing this.
Jeb, cool video man! I have yet to fly on an A330 but that’s one of my favorite airplanes along with the Triple 7. As far as the flight attendants, I imagine that it’s a fine balance between being available by walking around and not wanting to disturb pax as they’re sleeping. I’ve also never flown Hawaiian before but I’d love it if their HNL - BOS route is a big winner for them and they open a BOS crew base. I’d love to fly for them one day! Please go back and do another review of HAL once they start taking deliveries of their 787s!
