Love this!! I hope the people of the Solomon Islands like it too.
absolutely love this, thank you!
so spiritual
this is originally a song from Maliata province of the Solomon Islands in the south pacific and has nothing to do with africa. It was sung by afunakwa and was recorded by an anthropologist and is a sweet lullaby she sang for an orphan child she picked up after an unknown head hunting tribal raid had left this child an orphan, in essence it translates to be calm and feel loved now my child, eventhough your mum and dad are now gone they are at peace and there is nothing to fear, im now your mother and will raise and protectnand love you as my own.
Love from Rabaul, PNG. Wantok and Wansolwara.❤❤👍👍

The origins of this song is found in the South Pacific.
Yes from the Solomon Islands.. many thought it's from Africa but it's not. The words they put in are so fake.
Don't know why it doesn't say in the description, but clearly that one girl is not African and is Japanese. Her name is Maki Kawamoto.
Thank you for clearing up this mystery! I've enjoyed this clip so often and wondered about this every time.
This is greate.
