Every lineup of Osibisa over the years had tremendous musicians. I am a native San Diegan(California) who happens to be white by chance of birth...which really doesn't matter much to God or in the greater scheme of things, I think. And since the holiday season of 1971-2, Osibisa has been my all-time favorite band. They had God given talents and a "magical" sound. One has to respect all the shows played for benefits(charity) and how they never "sold out" to writing Top 40 three minute commercial hits! They composed & played THEIR music THEIR way knowing they would not make so much money-- and they were better for it! God Bless them all, for most have passed on.......
@@anabelletaylor1446 Oh no, my dear...YOUR words are touching! If you like Osibisa's you've got a good heart. I'm just a grumpy(Grumpy was always my favorite dwarf!) 63 year old US trucker who's trying to do a wee bit better my 2nd fifty years, since I tried to make the World Record Book for wild & sinful life the 1st fifty! I'm single; never officially married; just saw my "ex" who's close to dying for the last(sadly) time; and I resemble one of the Blue Meanies from 'Yellow Submarine' instead of the bicycling stud I used to be! You know the one? The Blue Meanie with the big tummy that opens up like a T-rex? That's what my profile looks like! Not a lady pleaser by a long shot. Except for my joking wit and personality, there ain't much for a fine lady to desire. Ahh...being older alone in my life and I am not complaining about things. It HAS been one helluva sweet ride so far. God Bless you & yours'!
Ghana was the BIG Thing Back then and still moving ,God Bless the motherland ,God Bless Africa,Together We Stand,Africa Unite and Take Back your Glory,Mama your children will be Happy Again,May the Almighty God Jehovah continue to protect and bestow His favor upon Our Land !!
This song and these people really are amazing. I refuse to even believe they are no more. Those were the days (coming from someone who has spent only 3 decades on earth lol). But fact is true music is no more. Its all about money and fame now. Our generation cant compare to our fathers and our grandfathers. Theu lived the real african lives. Im happy i can enjoy this music now, at least it gives me a sense of what they had back then. A true Gem this is.
This is the original African beat that the British extracted their "VOLTA" dance and music from...Actually this very beat originates from Ghana's Volta Region...AGBADZA IS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF THE BEAT...!!!
I saw them in Harlow in 1976 ish ? Never seen anything live that good live since !!! Came home feeling elated afterwards, very spiritual music, full of love and positivity!!! My favourite live band ever
A true classic of African Music. This song is a true work of art. The combination of different instruments and sounds to birth such a rhythm mind blowing. Those vocals are so iconic. Osibisa created their own genre and those songs will stay forever. Welcome home!!!!!
This gave me nostalgic feelings.....Music is meant to penetrate into your spirit and take you to a different place...That's what Osibisa songs do... Thanks for uploading this!!
Osibisa come and look at your Ghana music you paved a way for Ghanaian artistes and musicians are now doing other genre of music instead of HIGHLIFE music. You guys will forever be the greatest Ghana has ever had

Grammy award should be in the works for this great African group. The leader is still alive and kicking.
Wow he's alive?
Watching Ghana's finest gift to the world.
