It was nice to sit down on a Friday and enjoy this video. Another good one. Congratulations on your first 10,000 subs. Great channel. It's gonna grow exponentially.
I really enjoyed this video. I was familiar with the problems with the former Standard Oil building but none of the others. The information in this video is profound. Keep making these
One tidbit about the Citicorp building. One local newspaper caught on to the story. The reporter got bounced around since no on wanted to answer. Finally the engineering firm couldn't put it off any more and called the reporter back. But the newspaper went on strike so the story was never published.
The list is not about the most iconic buildings, but about the ones that almost failed. That was clearly stated in the title. Anyone who can read has an advantage. 😅 Greetings from Germany.

Glad you enjoyed it! Many more on the way :)

Very cool! I never knew that part of the story!
1400 ft. trash chutes, brilliance.
#4 is such a disaster. what a nightmare.

Ponte City is the ugliest. How that was imagined or thought of as "luxury" is beyond me.
In 1975 there was no other building like it in Africa.
When I think of South Africa I think of luxury what a joke
Dumb list. Only Citicorp is “iconic”, the rest are forgettable.
Thanks for watching! Its dedicated viewers like you that are helping the channel blow up!
Hancock Tower is very iconic.
