    I wouldn't be surprised that since "anus" and "school gate" are so similar, that students probably intentionally say "meet you at the Anus" just for laughs and slang usage. 😂

    • @turuus5215

      肛門・校門 these are the kanjis for anus and school gate. I have never heard someone saying koumon. I think they would deliberately avoid this word in case they have to meet in front of the school gate, probably they would use the different word unless close friend.

    • @Dave_thenerd
      @Dave_thenerd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Now also add in that 「拷問」「ごうもん」"goumon" means "torture"!
      「校門で肛門を拷問された!」"koumon de koumon wo goumonsareta!" "My anus was tortured at the school gate!" Sounds like the plot to a hentai...

    I made this mistake one time I was messeging one of my friends in japan. My teacher gave me bad grades (well, not that bad, but not good), and I wanted to write this: じゃ、明日から復習だね。 >> so, practice (復習) starts tomorrow.
    Instead I wrote じゃ、明日から復讐だね。With this kanji (復讐) it means revenge. So it sounded like I wanted to take revenge for my bad grades :D My friend was a bit confused...

    As a Japanese learner and not a native, I can't stand using romaji input. I use kana inputs, so there's less chance of 打ち間違い. Letter mistakes are easier to catch in English, kana in Japanese. Still, the kanji is tough, especially when they're close! I was trying to ask a choir-mate a question about a particular measure (小節) on the sheet music and accidentally entered the word for a novel (小説). She understood what I meant, but still laughed. ^^;

    There are countless memes of Germans having trouble with autocorrect 😂 for example when you want to type „ Ich habe in deiner Jacke geschlafen“ („I slept in your jacket“ something a girl might text her boyfriend) there are many memes in which „Jacke“ - jacket - becomes „Kacke“ which is a rude way of saying „poop“. So with that mistake our sentence suddenly means „I slept in your poop“😂😂 of course there are many more and also some that aren’t that horrible but that is something which you’ll see in almost every „WhatsApp fails compilation“😂😂

    I once texted a Japanese friend of mine "九時に合いましょうか" instead of "会いましょうか"
    I did want more than to just meet her, but it was a genuine mistake (after all i was using polite form) which i noticed afterwards.
    She didn't point out my mistake, it must be a very common one.

    The worst thing I've done was comment on a video of someone's dog saying 「あなたの犬はめっちゃめっちゃ怖いいですね!」when I meant 「あなたの犬はめっちゃめっちゃ可愛いですね!」😭😭😭

    Is HelloTalk not dead? I used it for years, but this past year it seemed like nobody was ever online.

    I remember once I typed ニ or 二 by mistake and failed a test in a program I used to use for learning Japanese
    They 2 completely different characters to the computer but they basically look the same and have the same reading... Ugh 😩
