    It's always good to see a pro player give insights over deck choices and particular match-ups. Congrats for the 1st place! Your read on board breakers is pretty similar with what I have in mind for the format atm. Going forward, I want to see how well Swordsoul/PK DPE performs to analyze the impact of Archnemeses Protos/Scythe in the meta and how players adapt their deck choices to avoid auto lose conditions, specially when going second. Keep posting videos. You have great content and players starting into the competitive scene can definetly learn a lot with these videos, alongside the pros that can share their thoughts and we all be blessed with pure knowledge.

    Took this list to OTS championship tourneys this weekend and did pretty great. It is soo good and loads of fun to play. Came 2nd and 9th on Saturday/Sunday respectively. My main struggle was against sky striker, it seems to be a very tough matchup and a lot of folks are playing it at my locals. Any advice on this matchup?

    • @jysharif
      @jysharif  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good job on your results, I am really happy to hear you did well! It depends on what kind of build they are playing, I have switched over to main decking the scythe package so resolving that combo generally will lock them out of their own enforcer access and being able to recycle and search spells via shiz and kagari. Siding heavy on backrow removal should help g2/3 twins, cosmic, duster and if I see floods like there can be only one etc, I will also side reboot vs the deck. I have also added number 80 rhapsody of berserk and this can come up really useful in the grind after 1 to out their enforcer package and banish spells like engage. I still main redoer so redoer can be solid taking spells off the top it can help you grind after t1. Maybe also practice playing vs the deck if you have any friends that run it, so you can brush up on your technical play ie figuring out best ways to play through widow anchor if you have multiple pushes etc. Best of luck at future events 🙏

    • @jysharif
      @jysharif  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Atm I haven't cut cards I've actually added them depending on how this weekend goes I may show my updated list and explain my theory behind it, you kinda have to find the right number that allows you to still consistently open combo and see your utility cards like drop/ruler and side cards etc. There's a lot of flexibility with the number of cards you can play and the ratios. Personally I don't like cutting this down to 40 due to the number of engine requirements you have to play fog blades,scythe destiny hero etc

      Chalice is a pretty strong substitute, imperm is pretty solid since it's a hand trap and acts as a chalice when drawn as a sixth, also on odd occasion you can negate spells/traps with it, only downside is that it conflicts with shade brigandine. Book of moon and other cards like eclipse can be decent in that it allows you to force out a negate of a card like baron de Fleur but also acts as a trap going first. Hope that helps 🙏

      Mystic mine was really good, helped force out negations Vs things like baron de Fleur, or helped me lock full boards and zues people under mine. It can be difficult to play under mine as there are so many options and routes and things to play around so it's probably where people in general and myself tend to misplay the most but if you're technically sound for the most part you can get huge value out of mine.

    • @jysharif
      @jysharif  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darealist2409 I liked judgement for that event since it's still solid Vs backrow decks like edlich/giest and it beats rogue decks that don't rely on spells but mainly monsters, judgement can also negate droplets as well which can be chained to anti spell. Also, if I get handtrapped and wasn't able to combo setting judgement lets me stop their normal summon/main play giving me a turn whereas frag doesn't stop monsters, essentially I chose versatility and coverage over the floodgating ability of anti spell. And no hand traps since I found they were vulnerable to tatics and most decks can play through one handtrap without batting an eye which means I need to open 2 hand traps which would have led me to diluting the deck with hand traps. Board breakers can be drawn as 6th so you don't need as many and they pretty guarantee you out their board unlike handtraps where you can even draw 2 and still get comboed through it.
