Great video. I am a new RV owner was dealing with an electrical issue involving my slides & leveling system. After many 5:23 web searches I found myself heading to th 5:23 e right direction to fix that issue. The AC’s were working fine but when I reset the main breaker they shut off and wouldn’t restart. Lesson learned always shut AC’s off at thermostat if working on electrical system. Long story short, I fixed the issues with the slides & leveling system and got them working again (breaker in the battery compartment), but the AC still was not working. I found your video & when you got to the power hookup I had an epiphany. Went outside & sure enough my Power Watchdog surge protector had tripped. I reset it, went back in flipped on the main breaker, then the AC breakers & then turned on the AC’s at the thermostat & everything was running like before. 😅 Thanks to you & your video. Many many thanks!
My husband turned the ac on and then off too fast and now the ac won’t come back on I checked all the fuses and and everything else seems to be working fine no tripped breakers and the converter is still lit green
For Pete's sake people when you have to change a fuse use the same amp fuse. Don't do like my brother used to do back in the 80s. "That 15 amp fuse is blown, I'll put in a 30 amp fuse so it won't blow again." That fuse is meant to blow in case of a power surge. It's a lot cheaper to replace than an electrical component. Go to the hardware store and buy extras to keep on hand for just such an emergency. Plus, you'll be a good neighbor when someone needs a fuse and they don't have one.
My AC kicks off and when I turn the thermostat off for a few seconds and back on then it will run but shuts off again. is it overheating? Also it is not the safety temp switch on the condenser I removed it and jumped it just to see if that was kicking off.
Excellent video. Been resetting my breaker for a week. Only getting 109 volts during peak heat. Older campgrounds electric systems just aren't up to the modern RV's.
Something else I've noticed is that the microwave in my 38ft Alpine is gynormous, but I never use it. But whether in use or not it's still drawing power, I have the microwave on a surge protector and just keep it in the off position so that it's not competing for juice...
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The ac stopped working in the middle of a Florida summer and we saw a tripped breaker. Watched this video and you fixed the problem by simply turning the breaker down for a minute then turning back on! I want to say it took a woman’s touch but I learned from you! So thank you! This was on a 2021 KZ Durango !!
Thanks for the tips. Our PUP (1640 Rockwood Freedom) A/C randomly stopped working like something was tripped. Other stuff worked like lights etc, fuses weren’t blown, breakers weren’t tripped, etc. So I’m not sure it was the campgrounds fault. But I can’t for the life of me see why it quit like that. Usually they’ll get loud or weird sounding but completely quitting is unexpected. Dealer is hours away which is not trivial to get it down there. Not pleased to say the least, and not sure where to go from here.
My dometic ac control panel won’t light up. I turned it off at the panel a couple of hours ago and now it’s not lighting up to turn on. The fridge is on and the lights are on but the ac hasn’t lit up. Thank you Louise from Australia
Hey my RV has no power not sure what the problem is. The living room lights and the room lights are not working and also the AC is not working. The only thing that works is the Plug ins to charge my phones. Do you know what it can be? Thanks
Having the same problem!! My microwave is working and my plug ins are. But no lights or ac! Which is weird because other times my power has been out my lights have run off the battery. I’ve checked fuses & breakers! 😢
Great stuff cobber. If builders would install heavier wiring, you could avoid most problems. The extra weight is not a huge deterrent. I buy brand new camper and wiring problems left, right and centre. So I upgrade my wiring myself, and 99% of problems solved... especially battery charging. Unfortunately I can't do a whole lot on the AC circuit as its concealed darn it.
Was running a small power washer on the outside outlet and running the AC at the same time. After a few minutes, everything shut down. Checked all the breakers, fuzes and still will not power up
This video was phenomenal! Exactly what I needed to know and we have our AC up and running again! May I please have a link to your digital "tip jar"? Thanks!
So today my ac shut off and would not turn the unit on but I have power at the thermostat.... ac unit is only about a year and a half old . If I cycle through fan heat ac and off it will kick on for about 30 min then the unit will shut off and not kick back on with power still to thermostat any ideas?
Our AC stopped (Tiffin Allegro Open Road 32SA)... No breakers thrown in the coach OR at the shore power pedestal. My solution was to turn off the AC at the thermostat.... shut off the breaker at the pedestal... wait 30 seconds... switch the pedestal breaker back "on" and turn on the AC at the thermostat. It comes back on every time! No breakers thrown... ANYWHERE!. Can anyone explain this?
My bedroom ac is working, but my main is not. I flipped the breakers inside and out and no red lights on my fuses. It stormed here pretty bad earlier this morning but I wouldn’t think that would have something to do with it. Not sure what else to do?
Great video, checked all that stuff and no go. My AC stopped working when we left the camp site and I think the problem started when we disconnected from the camp power and the AC may have been running when we disconnected. I started the generator later to get some air and the AC would not start. Any ideas?
Hey Siri I have a 2002 26 ft travel trailer Sunnybrook the AC was running perfectly then something popped the breaker so I flipped the breaker and the light was barely coming on found a little 30amp fuse was popped replaced that light works again but no ac and the yellow wire was really hot so i dont know what to do from here and as long as I keep that fuse out everything works but ac

@@KeystoneRVCenter I like 4000 watts also. Just bigger I have 2 of the Hondas 2000. AC runs fine with one 2000 with the converter off.I was just wondering by having the converter off when running ac, is all I'm losing is battery being charged? @@KeystoneRVCenter I like 4000 watts also. Just bigger I have 2 of the Hondas 2000. AC runs fine with one 2000 with the converter off.I was just wondering by having the converter off when running ac, is all I'm losing is battery being charged? I purchased a 2021 zinger by crossroads for work when out of town. Dealer has no knowledge about rvs, hopefully my next purchase will be keystone by Batman.. Thanks for the helpful videos Also I like a fat banking account (not always possible )🙂
I would run two Honda 2000 with the parallel kit
I would not trip the breaker for the converter thats going to kill the battery from charging.
You need a total of 4000 watts for a gen in my opinion

I know some people have good luck with the soft start options for the Acs. I prefer a 4000 watt system

My hornet keystone AC not coming on
Would need to know more details. Like what power is going to it. Does the thermostat work anything else.
My best advice is get it to a professional

@@KeystoneRVCenter same. I have power to thermostat power to control module but no output power from control module to AC. Thought a new control module would solve the issue. But still having the same issue no output power. 2007 keystone hornet
Excellent again
Thanks a lot
