Thank you so much for this tutorial and the links. I’ve learned to knit during lockdown and purchased your pattern for Big Bottom Up Sweater. So far I’ve knitted two very successful sweaters using that pattern and now want to try top down method. Your videos are very clear and love that you use large yarn & needles, so it’s easy to follow. 🙏🏼😁🧶❤️
Thanks for that very clear explanation. I was wondering if you can use circular needles to make the sleeves. Every sweater pattern I’ve seen seems to call for switching to using double pointed needles when it comes time to knit the sleeves.
I purchased the pattern, excited to start, questions, I have interchangeable circular needles, so the question is, the collar is done with US 17, 16 inches cable right, but when do you change the needles and what US size and lengh of the cable?
Thank you so much for your order! After the collar, you'll change to US 19 needle tips and you may want to increase your cord length as you go. I eventually got up to a 25" cord (34" when you include the tips) which is why I love interchangeable needles for this type of project. If you have a longer fixed cord for your US 19 needles, you can use the magic loop method, after the collar portion, until you increase to enough stitches to work in the round normally.
Thanks for using bulky yarn to demonstrate your point. It’s so much easier to understand.
