    Hi August, I have always enjoyed your traveling videos. If you have the means, it would be great if you could go to the less-traveled places in Vietnam (e.g, Phu Quoc, Rach Gia, etc.). For some of us who can't travel to Vietnam, it'd be wonderful to see Vietnam through your eyes and learn more about Vietnam from you. Thanks, August, for another great video.

    Thanks, Do you need an onward ticket when doing a land border crossing into Vietnam like you do when flying in?

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure what your nationality is but I think they rarely demand to see an onward ticket. They might ask how long you're staying, where your going next but that's it. Worst case scenario you can always buy a bus ticket or flight ticket there. Good luck and safe travels

    Hey man! This was great! I'm about to do this trip because I don't wanna put my dog on the plane. Did you happen to notice any dogs going through the border per chance?
    (I know it's a left field question 😂) I've done the trip many times but never with a pet.

      Hey man! Hope you'll have a great trip. Ive heard that travelling with pets across borders is not an easy thing. In the case I'm Vietnam - Cambodia I have no idea about the process but I reckon you must have some paperwork processed before crossing the border. Good luck and it would be very interesting to hear how it went

    Thanks for the video. Do do you know please for sure about which is the last allowed day of the cambodia visa extensions if extension says expiry date 2 august ? Meaning 2 august isn’t an overstay yes?

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your comment. Don't take my word for it, but from my understanding it should be as follows: as long as the visa extension process has begun before the expiry date, it's fine.
      Meaning as long as the authorities have started processing the extension, but they approve an extension after the expiry date, it should be fine. This can vary from country to country though. Good luck

    • @perpetuallyabroad

      It should be that you're allowed to stay until 11:59 pm 2nd of August, so the whole day of 2nd. But since it's Cambodia I'd check with the authorities since the logic might be different there

    I would like to ask if there is a bus from Phnom Penh back to Ho Chi Minh? If I have applied for a multiple-visit visa for Vietnam online, will I still be charged for the visa? Because we are passing through a land border crossing, is it possible that the border customs/immigration officers are off duty? For example, if I arrive at night and cannot clear customs, I have to stay one night near the border and wait until the next morning before I can enter the country? ! Thanks!

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for your question! Yes there is a bus from PP to HCM, please check out my video about taking a bus from Vietnam to Cambodia, (it's the same from Cambodia to Vietnam ).
      From my understanding and reading Vietnamese sources, the border is open for crossing from 7AM to 6PM. This might not be correct though. I would advise to cross the border during daytime just to be sure.
      If you have a multiple entry visa please print it so you can show the officers by the border. Good luck with your travels

    Hello, I would like to ask you additional questions about the transportation at Angkor Wat! Would you recommend renting a motorcycle to go to various attractions by yourself or chartering a TUKTUK? Or do you have other suggestions? In my case, I am traveling alone and don’t want to spend too much? Can I ask how much it will cost? The price of a motorcycle or the price of a tuutuk? Or any other way you recommend traveling alone! It is expected that I will only buy a one-day ticket for 37 US dollars.

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for your question! Firstly, I am not sure about how much they charge for renting a motorbike ( wild guess about 5-10 USD / day ). It will be cheaper to rent a bike compared to chartering a tuktuk. I would think chartering a tuktuk will still not be too expensive depending on your negotiation skills.
      Personally, I'd either rent a motorbike for freedom. Angkor wat is not that far from the city centre but you need either a tuk tuk, taxi or motorbike. It can be quite hot driving around in a bike though, that's the only problem I see.
      If you plan to charter a tuktuk ,I'd research a bit beforehand about how much other people paid because they will probably ask for a significantly higher price tag than it should be at first. Good luck

      Not a direct route. You have to go from Siem reap to Phnom Penh first, then change bus there. It's a very long ride and I have done it once. I don't recommend it unless you're on a very tight budget. There are direct flights from Siem reap to Saigon

      You must visit Philippines next time :)

    • @perpetuallyabroad
      @perpetuallyabroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cambodia's official currency is actually USD so usually you pay almost everything in USD except very small amounts. The problem is that sometimes they give you back riel for change. I usually pay smaller amounts with riel like for example a coconut which you can get for 3500 riel which is technically less than 1 dollar. Hope it makes sense. The Philippines sounds cool

      6 hours door to door which is not far from what it takes by taxi. I've flown 16 round trips on this route and yes, it's faster than a taxi but I wanted to highlight that overall it's actually not that much faster than ordering a taxi to pick you up from your hotel and drive you straight to your home, sounds ridiculous?
