If you guys are running Sucrose, what is your favorite team comp? Also, I wanted to clarify that characters not on the field do not get an EM boost when Sucrose swirls a matching element. Therefore if Oz is on the field and Sucrose swirls electro, Fischl’s EM does not increase. With the 4pc VV set, enemies will get a 40% reduced defense to electro so Oz will hit harder still.
I have her with chongyun, xiangling and barbara. Still planning to invest with xinyan as a substitute for xiangling. I sometimes use her with bennett, beidou and tartaglia.
I don't think I understand this. How can it only apply to characters on the field? When she's swirling (at least with her E and normal attack) she's the one on the field, so who is it applied to?
True even with my diluc I'm able to hit 1k per auto ,6k per ult and 3k overload. I finally got sucrose today and will slowly build her along side my benny boi. I'm already ar 49 and it's a pain maybe sucrose Bennett fisch and diluc will carry me.

100k damage sucrose with maxed out artifacts, level and weapons, bennet's burst with 4 piece noblesse, another pyro character (pyro residence) and mona's ultimate in the team, food and potions and a lucky 200% damage critical hit against an underleveled cryo regisvine. Yep, seems like something every casual player would be able to do. With this combo, you can get even barbara to deal 100k.
this game is WAY more deep in how the background of the characters affects their skills, just like the fact that Sucrose is an alchemy and her powers are just as complex makes so much sense in the end.
A nice little detail I appreciate is her weird name choice for her talents. In her story lines it’s mentioned how terrible she is at coming up with names, so she just resulted to naming her experiments by numbers and titles, like the talents she has.
It's like Jean too. In the story she has a dillema that she actually want to be a shield more than a sword for Mondstadt and bcs of that, she is really versatile in every aspect now.

Don't be disheartened! On paper Sucrose sounded like a 'budget Venti' to a lot of people early on. Many wrote her off as a "low C tier" and whatnot. Same with characters like Bennett and Beidou. Turns out, people can be pretty closed minded at times, and Sucrose in effect is actually incredibly potent both in kill power, and in crowd control. The beautiful thing about Sucrose is, even with a somewhat lackluster built without all the right stats right away, she still has value on any team comp while using a 4-piece Viridescent set, and by way of having her kit able to lockdown enemies. She's a delightful addition to parties pretty much anywhere.

You mean bc she had two charges she has two times the opportunity to get a reset, correct? That’s kinda obvious tbh and why Sac Bow is so good on Diona bc all her 5 paws from her E have the chance to reset

So whenever that happens, maybe you should try your luck and do a quick wish on a banner :)
Great guide focusing on how to put the stats to use rather than "make the numbers bigger" of most other guides. I'd like to see a similar focus on using her E & Q in various teams to group enemies together. I've seen vids with Venti and Jean and those dramatically vacuum enemies up, but it's less blatant on Sucrose.

I believe it is only possible to get energy recharge on the sands and impossible on the circlet. Just as a note for people who are looking to get energy recharge on one of their artifacts.
@@yojaq he said energy recharge, not elemental mastery. Only sands have ER while both sands and circlets can have EM mainstats. Also widsith has CDamage substat, not EM like in the video.
9:50 i actually suggest no anemo damage on the goblet- while more anemo damage IS good, doubling down on EM improves her EM buff to the party, and increases her Swirl damage, which is usually higher than her Anemo damage anyways. Anemo damage also doesnt apply to the pyro/cryo/electro/hydro that her ults absorbs
Her anemo damage will be greater than the Swirl at level 80-90, so much so that there is a Sucrose build based on crit rate and crit dmg. The more EM, the less effective the effect, so I think that over 300 EM starts to lose efficiency, I prefer ER / Anemo Dmg / ATK%, using Sacrificial Fragments we will have 221 EM + artifact substats, so it has damage , support, consistency and field control, the biggest mistake of the builds is that the supports do not have enough ER to be able to use the Elemental Burst as soon as the reload ends.
@@carlosleite7011 That's using her more like a carry and less like a support. Most people won't have resources to level their supports to 90 or even 80 for a very long time.
Would you suggest not leveling her talents then? I'm building straight EM on her for the swirl damage and couldn't care less about her own anemo damage, so I was wondering if leveling her talents would even be worth it
This was amazing! I've been trying to play Sucrose and didn't understand the mix of a good comp as most videos focus on gear. But it feels like the benefit of Sucrose is more dependent on having good EM reactions and less on artifacts and stat %.
Great video with excellent explanations for her kit. She's so much fun to play, watching enemies flail helplessly in her Ultimate is super satisfying. I finally managed to get her to C6 in the current banner and couldn't be happier.

Unpopular opinion. Sucrose C2 is just as good as venti, If you know how to use her. Saying from experience. Hidden five star. Or maybe it’s just that anemo is way too overpowered. Anemo supremacy.

This guide was both informative and well composed, making it easier to understand the utility that Sucrose brings to a team and how she does it. Definitely helpful to all players, very nicely done. My only nitpick (because practically every Genshin Impact content creator seems to do this) is your mispronunciation of Anemo. It's pronounced "ANN-eh-mo", not "Uh-NEE-mo". We even hear the characters say it in-game on multiple occasions. But other than that, fantastic video.

i think it bears to be mentioned, especially in the latter part of the video where you were showing melt damage with diona and kleee, that the triggering character's EM matters in the equation :). Great video, thank you!
Good point Jon. I did not get into how the melt damage is actually calculated, which depends on Klee’s ATK, EM, and set bonuses (and enemies resistance) only. Thanks for pointing that out and for the support!
When I first started the game, Sucrose was the very first 4-star I got and my gf was so mad at me (she got me into this game) because shes always wanted her for her reactions and I just didn't get it at first. Over time, she was real good to have around but i had zero good characters to use with her. I was literally main dpsing Kaeya at one point and moved to Beidou once I got her and my first 5-star was Mona. But after I got Diluc, right after that I got Sucrose to C6 and just went alright. Enough's enough. Let's put Sucrose on the team, shall we? Good lord that was the best decision EVER because Sucrose is just DISGUSTING! My artifacts suck but I have her BiS weapon and 4p Viridescent set on her and even with the crappy stats, she is AMAZING! Cant wait to get some respectable artifacts and see what she can do!
Try using Avatar Sucrose team comp. Sucrose main dps, Xiangling for pyro,fischl for electro (yes her 4th ascension works off field) and xingqiu Qburst for hydro. All this reactions require a LOT of EM for Sucrose for it to work wonders. Her passive talents sharing EM to other characters makes it more worthwhile. Watch the fireworks in her swirls.
that's really a good video on sucrose build. before this, i always hate when i got artifact with er and em, and used them to lvl up other artifacts. now i have to farm them back lmao
I've been wanting to level up sucrose but not too long after I do so, I managed to summon Mona and focused my resources on her. Plus I now gotta get my characters to level 60/70 now that I finished the 2nd ascension quest.
i just play sucrose for grouping and knockup, then i got her c5 wondering how to play her properly, this guide helped me understand better how her mech works, she really is an alchemist with swirl i take it.

My only nitpick (because practically every Genshin Impact content creator seems to do this) is your mispronunciation of Anemo.
It's pronounced "ANN-eh-mo", not "Uh-NEE-mo". We even hear the characters say it in-game on multiple occasions.
But other than that, fantastic video.

Thanks for this video. I love Sucrose as a character and always think about using her, but I never really "got" her. I'm used to turning my brain off and going unga bunga with Diluc. She still seems complicated, but damn it, I hate having her at C6 and not using her.
I was not intended to find any sucrose build video at all.. until i realize I got her at c5 just an hour ago. And well.. why not right. Some ppl says c5 4star better than c0 5star anyway. Lol. Thx for the video dude. It will help me a lot. :))

i think it bears to be mentioned, especially in the latter part of the video where you were showing melt damage with diona and kleee, that the triggering character's EM matters in the equation :). Great video, thank you!
Good point Jon. I did not get into how the melt damage is actually calculated, which depends on Klee’s ATK, EM, and set bonuses (and enemies resistance) only. Thanks for pointing that out and for the support!

When I first started the game, Sucrose was the very first 4-star I got and my gf was so mad at me (she got me into this game) because shes always wanted her for her reactions and I just didn't get it at first. Over time, she was real good to have around but i had zero good characters to use with her. I was literally main dpsing Kaeya at one point and moved to Beidou once I got her and my first 5-star was Mona. But after I got Diluc, right after that I got Sucrose to C6 and just went alright. Enough's enough. Let's put Sucrose on the team, shall we? Good lord that was the best decision EVER because Sucrose is just DISGUSTING! My artifacts suck but I have her BiS weapon and 4p Viridescent set on her and even with the crappy stats, she is AMAZING! Cant wait to get some respectable artifacts and see what she can do!

i didnt thought that swirl reactions can do much dmg, but its elemental mastery channeling is so high. now i might give it a shot!!!
Try using Avatar Sucrose team comp.
Sucrose main dps, Xiangling for pyro,fischl for electro (yes her 4th ascension works off field) and xingqiu Qburst for hydro.
All this reactions require a LOT of EM for Sucrose for it to work wonders. Her passive talents sharing EM to other characters makes it more worthwhile.
Watch the fireworks in her swirls.
that's really a good video on sucrose build. before this, i always hate when i got artifact with er and em, and used them to lvl up other artifacts. now i have to farm them back lmao

I've been wanting to level up sucrose but not too long after I do so, I managed to summon Mona and focused my resources on her. Plus I now gotta get my characters to level 60/70 now that I finished the 2nd ascension quest.
Mona is a great investment. Resources are rough. Focus on one or two characters at a time to get the best return from investing.
i just play sucrose for grouping and knockup, then i got her c5 wondering how to play her properly, this guide helped me understand better how her mech works, she really is an alchemist with swirl i take it.
