    Thanks for a great no nonsense video, I’ve just bought a 2002 model, these are great videos to learn about the bike. Cheers 👍

    Great review. I love kawasaki! I own a 2004 kawasaki zx9r ! Zzr1200 is great looking bike! I much prefer carbs over fuel injection.

    I've owned close to 20 motorcycles in my lifetime and this ZZR 1200 has been bulletproof amazing.

    Very informative review. I was tempted for one of these as they are great value.

      Yes I bought mine last year for £2,400 , The price seems to have gone up this year though for these bikes.

    On my second ZZR 1200 got an 03 with 18,000 miles.Came with Givi top box rear hugger and scottoiler.Paid £2,200 absolute bargain! Love these bikes engines will last way over 100,000 miles if you look after them. They're just a great all round bike.

    Did the cam clearances at 18k miles. Well worth doing. Stop the buzz in handlebars making hands numb and noise coming up from under the instrument cluster.

    Thanks for a useful review. I'm considering one as I remember the 1100 being comfortable but found the 1400 a bit uncomfortable for my arthritic knee as the pegs were a bit high and far back, even with short legs. Do you know how the 12 compares to the 14 on this score?

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 1200 has pegs more foreword and lower than the 1100 , So you should be OK on it.

      @@mcycle24 great, thanks for the reply. It should be better for me than the 1400 too.

    U recommend one then? I have a mt09 sp 2021. After a sport tourer for 2 up rides. Between this and the Honda Blackbird. What sort of prices should I be looking at?

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I personally think the ZZR is a better bike than the Blackbird, And the prices are normally cheaper as well I paid around £2300 for mine , A bargain price considering what a great bike it is.

    Can't remember now if i fitted some thin washers under needles, my bike had flat 2000rpm. Cured that. Think well known fault.

    Calling on your expertise again. The two small pipes that stick out of the ram air ducts what are they and what do they do? I noticed other day what appears to be rotten oil sludge leaked out of said pipe. Cause for concern or normal for ZZR once in a while?

      They equalize pressure in the carbs, Should be kept clean.

    Lots of tires lots of brakes chains and sprockets but it keeps cooking down the road.

    Just had carbs rebuilt and balanced and new spark plugs fitted but STILL getting hesitation at low rpm on my ZZR1200. Does this bike have carb heaters? What could be causing it?

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the carbs are heated by water circulation from the radiator there is a filter that needs to be kept clean , If it gets blocked with dirt it can stop the hot water circulating causing the symptoms you described.

    Question I'm literally searching everywhere and can't find the problem. My 30a fuse on the starter relay keeps blowing. I'll push in a new fuse and the second I plug the connector in it pops. Do you have any idea what it might be?

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly a bad earthing point somewhere.

      @@mcycle24 that's what I'm thinking but I've went over the harness twice now and couldn't find anything.

    I'm get 60mpg at mway speeds. I put super unleaded in my bike, it flushed crap into the carbs. I ended up stripping and using ultrasonic cleaner.
