Thank you for your contribution to the Person community. I am currently ~24 hours, dungeon 2, into the game and found this video very useful. Also, accents add character. I could perfectly understand you.
Ame no Uzume at level 29 learns Divine Grace at level 32. That's a 50% boost for healing spells and lets Diarama and Mediarama deliver a lot more potence. Though you won't need it on personas that have diarahan, it's great early and mid game. Be sure to fuse it down to a low level healing persona like Pixie for NG+.
@Mina69a you are correct about the compendium carrying over in NG+ but you need to have enough money in order to summon them. Some people dont use the money trick as they never knew how to do it until after they complete the game. An example of a person who didnt do the money trick until ng+ is myself XC
I'm nearly at the end of the game and I still use Shiki-Ouji because it's that good. I recommend this move set: Mapsi, Miracle punch, Swift Strike, Triple Down, Speed Master, Apt Pupil, Adverse Resolve, and Charge.
I did the same with shiki ouji i got sp adhesive 3 early and used him against things that only use physical and or gun to infinitely recover sp after my teammates died
I had great success with Leanan Sidhe, a level 19 persona that gets Marin Karin and Psio. I also had it inherit Brainwash Boost from a Succubus and laugh as the midbosses murder each other and get bonus technical damage
Shiisaa is a better source for the Rampage skill than Ippon-Datara, IMO. Ippon is a Hermit arcana persona, and you don't have access to the Hermit confidant until the latter half of the game, so to get Rampage you'd need to manually level it up. And by the time that happens, you'll probably have access to Shiisaa, which you'll need to fuse for the Strength confidant anyway, and whose Chariot arcana you'll be more likely to have ranks of since Ryuji's link is available right from the start.
Just to mention there is also nekomata at level 17 which is better than makami and it just takes two extra levels he knows mafrei and stuff like Mazio or maragi or even mabufu is available just wanted to mention
Nice of you mentioning Neko Shogun, he's great because of many reasons: -Invigorate (god i love myself some SP) -Resistance to physical + good physical attacks (double fangs) -Advanced fusion : it means you have a lot of slots available to pass skills on, which can turn this cat into a war machine for most of the early to mid dungeons (using it even at dungeon 5 isn't too far fetched). It's definitely my preferred early to mid persona. The best in transition imo And Matador is just flat out broken. Its only opponent in early game is basically Kaguya, and then again it's DLC
Love the video been looking for good early personas but wasn't sure which ones were good, and i didn't keep any of the debuffing skills only buffs to party. I guess ill have to buy early personas and fuse to get them to where i'm at in the game.
MegaSinch Yeah single target debuffs are better than single target buff when you're against bosses. Late in the game, you'll want both single (or multi) target debuffs plus party-wide buffs
I swear, all these pokemon fusions give me brain cancer. There are hundreds of combinations, and everytime u do fusion a new list of results comes up of new combinations. Not to mention u gotta figure out wat u wanna carry over that u don't already have or that u might learn later on. I jus went to dungeons and collect them all to register in book and buy them when I need. Saves me the headache.
SephiZack Yea, that's wat i do. I spend hrs in dungeons collecting all. There are so many skills these pokemons have that I don't even remember/know them all, especially those rankunda, sakunda, tarakunda, blah blah crap. Then there's those status like dizzy, forget, brainwash, despair... Ughh... my head hurts thinkin about it. Anyways, great tips tho man.
Yea, exactly. The reason they're hard to learn is bc they seem very similar to each other like confuse, brainwash, despair, dizzy, forget...wtf?. I ignore those and focus building on the simple element ones (fire, ice, etc.)
I never any statuses other than confuse. They're helpful, but you can't use them against bosses anyway so whatever. Elemental skills are definitely more important to focus on
I hope you enjoyed the video. Tell me if you think I should add anything ;D If you want me to make other videos and maybe have some requests, feel free to ask.
The problem is that each persona can be fused in dozens of different ways and everyone has different starting personas, that's why I linked to the Persona 5 calculator. It's easier for people to just check the Persona they want on the calculator and see which path they prefer
Obariyon was so useful in my playthrough. A gun skill plus Lucky Punch worked well (and useful inheritance until Miracle Punch) Any plans to make video guides for Persona 3 Reload?
The best I say is Oni or whatever it is because you have no weakness but have only strong and null which you could get some powerful skills onto and have a op persona
i’m playing new game and i’m at kaneshiro’s palace right now. i’m trying to get level 5 with justine and caroline confidant level to forge personas at higher levels than me then work to maxing them out to cut the costs for summoning. then i’ll probably do the money farm and get my endgame personas by the time i reach futaba’s palace.
The first palace is rather challenging compared to the second & third palaces. At the time, I was looking around the forums just for any neat tips/tricks and it mentioned Obariyon with Lucky Punch. So I got an Obariyon for early game. However, I did not realize that compared to Mokoi, he really wasn't that useful for me. If anyone reading this is having trouble with the first palace, *Mokoi with Skull Cracker* will prove useful. Trust me. Makami, I agree, is quite decent. But if you want a nuclear persona, Suzaku & Phoenix are more useful nuclear personas. Shiki-Ouji is an impressive one, as he is resistant to physical damage. I made mine with a Regent (treasure demon), which makes him have a more varied/versatile moveset. Psychic, Bless & Curse moves fit him. *Orthrus* wasn't mentioned in the video, but he is a fire persona with a decent moveset. I managed to get Swift Strike, Maragi and Growth 1 on mine. If you don't want to fuse for him, you can negotiate to get him in the third palace. If anything else, he'll prove useful as a catalyst for your future fusions.
Do passives carry over when you're using other personas? Like andras having apt pupil, does it actually have any effect when you switch to obariyon for lucky punch?
i always prefer catch or combine different personas thath look interesting for me either for the design or skills and i avoid to use guides and just enjoy the game
Does anyone know how to get Obariyon without fusing? Trying to fuse Obariyon with regent to make an arsene, but every time i fuse him he get a lot of exp cause of my rank 9 fool confidant. Can he be found in mementos? If so, where exactly??
Some interesting ideas specially Matador (had no idea he had swift strike I made him only for the Twin Wardens quest). Overall I'd say your ideas are very physical oriented which is not bad as such but early game magics are pretty strong as all out-attack one shot almost anything. Physical start to get interesting when all-out attack isn't enough in my opinion. But at least it's less SP heavy which is cool too.
Sombrego ah the reason why I didn't mention any magic is because those are easy to find and as long as you have at least one of every element, there's no need for me to point out magic skills. I do think having them is important and those are definitely what I use if I see a weakness
I agree, though Frei and Psi are not that common early game and having bufu in the first palace may seem trivial to veterans but still is a good recommendation
damn my compendium is only 56 percent and I just beat the game this morning I was so pissed when I started a new game plus and I'm back to lvl1 I beat yaldaboeth at lvl79
Since you are heavy into this game i was wondering if you could answer a question. How many bare minimum points do i need for each confidant level and how many points do i need to earn to get to rank 10?
lol im new to the series, was extremely hard at first but im getting the hang of it. i enjoy the game alot glad i picked it up and thanks for the vid! helped me out
Shiisaa is a good one to get before Shiki-Ouji becomes available, as it boasts immunity to Bless, resistance to Phys *&* Gun, and weakness only to Dark. Furthermore, it also learns Rampage *and* can learn it immediately from Arcana Burst if you've hung out with Ryuji enough. That aside, basically anything with a natural Gun immunity is fair game IMO, as there aren't any passives that provide resistance or immunity to Gun attacks (or so I've heard).
You fight Makami in a non-skippable battle towards the end of the 2nd palace, but in that battle you can't recruit it. I'm not sure if you can find it after that because I then left the palace to send calling card and then directly went into the boss fight, I think I just fused it
Are some of these personas your own created fusions? Because I certainly didn't come across most of them in the first palace. Which begs the question: Exactly how far into the game do you consider "early"? I suppose I might find them in the second palace, but having finished the first palace after 11 hours (I'm a completionist), I don't feel like I'm early in the game at this point, even if I haven't completed more than, say, 10% of it.
How do you figure out at what level can you attain a certain fusion persona?? I was told that I my level is too pow for a certain fuse but I don't know at which level I should go to be able to fuse it
I think that depends on whether you think you'll use it or not. It's a nice amount of money and in my playthrough I only used 1 towards the end of the game. It might come in handy but at that point in the game there will be also many other healing options
Oh I just randomly fused stuff, I didn't actually pay attention to what skills I was getting on Ippon-Datara. To get resist ice at that stage, I left him in to get punished in prison (I forgot what the option was called) for a few days to learn the skill.
Get punished in prison? Is that a feature i have to unlock thru the Strength confidant? *edit* nvm thanks, didn't notice the rank 3 gives the lockdown ability.
