Man, am I the only one who thought that Akechi would be able to switch to Robin but then got my expectations crushed?
I was hoping for that too when I saw him as Black Mask in the trailers
My only reason as to why he couldn’t is because it’s would naturally make him much better than all other party members kind of giving you no choice but to use him against harder bosses like lavenza
@Fin the Guardian Sumire seems to have been specifically built to fight Lavenza, as she makes that battle tremendously easier during the crit phase. As for Akechi... I'm not quite sure? I can't exactly tell what his niche is supposed to be, especially with Rebellion Blade (Maruki and Azathoth can't be knocked down).
Honestly? Outside of being another bless user on the team there's really no need for him to use Robin hood since Loki has better skills anyway.

Okay, for all the Phantom Thieves, Maruki says something that really hits close to home for them. And for Akechi, he says he gave Akechi the chance to atone.
Akechi hates himself for what he did, and wants to atone for his crimes, but on his terms and his terms alone. No high-and-mighty bullshit. No gods. Just a prison cell and memories of phantoms.

Wait, sleeping frozen? You cannot inflict 2 ailments at the same time. It would be better to put her asleep, tho. Since rebellion blade is not a physical damage so the frozen ailment would do no effect on the value of damage.

Look at their outfits, this is clearly their wedding.
I understand why, since it would cause Akechi to have three possible sets, which would frankly be broken, but I'd be down if you could use Robin Hood, Loki, and Hereward. Not only would Akechi be an even better counterpart to Joker, being able to use all three, but it would be cool to have him be both a bless and curse character, like he orginally was. I know Sumire's the bless character, but it would still show Akechi's strength. Imagine if you could transfer skills to Hereward from Robin Hood and Loki, during his third awakening. All of it would fit the story, and it would be really sick.
I don't think Akechi can use Loki or Robin Hood anymore now that they've fused into Hereward, but Hereward inheriting both Robin Hood and Loki's skills would be badass.
psl I mean it’s not really that they fused it’s more that Loki evolved . Because think about it we see the first personas for the other characters even though they evolved past that. So it’s possible akechi can still use Robin Hood considering he is a wild card in fact Loki It’s supposed to be strong to light and darkness but of course don’t make them too op so they just made him weak to bless as a party member
@@aresrivera9744 He'd have to resummon Robin Hood from the compendium though, which he can't cause he doesn't have access to the Velvet Room.
psl I mean we don’t know if he lost it or not as Through the other characters in their persona just evolved so why would his two personas fuse. It’s possible he still has Robin Hood but we’re not allowed to use him because as I said balancing . And akechi Does have access to The velvet room as all the other phantom thieves do he even met Lavenza

Also, what are you talking about? All of the Thieves fuse their Personas.

Honestly Loki is a much cooler persona than Hereward, like he looks cool and all but strippy boyu with heated blade looks better
While Loki has a much better design on a baseline level, Hereward the Wake is perfect for Akechi as a character. Both have their strengths.

I’m a simple man. I see Akechi, I click the video
I initially thought that if Joker accepted Maruki's deal that Akechi would essentially say "screw you" and recklessly try to face him alone.
But I get why they didn't go that route. One of the biggest reasons the player might accept the new reality is because they don't want Akechi to die. To take that away anyway would potentially be pretty frustrating.
You are taking his life either way, in Maruki ending You are basically removing his free will and forcefully make him good Prince Akechi, while he stated to You that he would rather die than life like that
Atleast in True ending You can see him for a brief moment
Who's to say he *didn't* attempt it off-screen? At the very least it would explain the personality shift *back* into Detective Prince, despite how much he loathed that side of him (and it's not like Joker would've wanted *that* with how much he accepted "Everyday Akechi" up to that point).
He might have looked into the ending camera with Joker, but there's nothing saying Maruki didn't tamper with him too like with everyone else's wishes (especially behind Joker's back). It fits uncomfortably well with Maruki's in-battle dialogue with him where he's pleading with Akechi to agree so "he can atone."

I only knew him for like ten minutes, but I love Hereward. His design, his unique skill, and the way Akechi shouts his name

I can imagine Akechi going up against Maruki by himself if Joker takes the Bad Ending. Of course, he would unfortunately lose by himself and be actualized.

I think this is really cool. Hereward isn't the result of a Persona getting stronger and evolving, like the rest of the PT. Robin Hood and Loki are two separate personas, which means that Akechi was able to do a persona fusion outside of the Velvet Room to get Hereward. All because of his bond with Joker, since he doesn't get Hereward if you don't max out his confidant.

The rest of the thieves also did that, the only difference is that akechi could use robin hood AND loki, while after the others evolved into a new persona they couldnt use the old one until both their personas fused

Update: I redid it at level 99, gave her Spell Master and a few stat boosts from the Jazz Jin, and had her recall her forgotten Diarahan at the Kanda confessional. I could've given her Arms Master as well, but that would've required more backtracking (if I still had a save that far back).

He has a third persona, Raoul, but it’s behind a paywall. I’d imagine it being awakened at around the same time as Hereward.

I still wish Akechi survived Shido’s palace. Aside from what he did, I love Akechi as a character. And as Maruki says, he can start to atone for what he did. Akechi deserved to atone and heal for what he did because of Shido.
He did atone. In this timeline he helped prove the value of moving on and deciding for himself. The thing he never got to in the real world. Maruki did indeed give him the exact world he desired.
(11:03) it happened to me too, and i was reacted this like "wow, i just saved myselyf with ability that's Maruki give/taught it to me. Thanks Maruki!". Joke aside, Maruki seriously make us more stronger before our Battle against him. He taughted us abilities as such like flow, detox, mindfulness, and he even increased our maximum SP(If only he knew we would fight him at the end of the game.).

Honestly, you should be able to use both robin hood and loki in new game plus, since you'd pretty much have gof tier personas by then, it wouldn't hurt to have busted team members as well
And who cates about busted teammates anyway? It’s a single player game and you can only use 4 at any given time

Probably not, cause she only gets the base skills, nothing else (rest can get new ones from jazz club)
I think every character can more or less do it, Sumire has a similar situation to Akechi, use Kougaon instead of Eigaon on the Curse/Bless-weak tentacle and the Magarudyne accessory, and you're done, just use Masquerade instead of Rebellion Blade on Azathoth.
Of course, increase stats as much as possible to make it easier

Yeah the changes carry over
ranked him up when he joins in Nov and Jan, they all carry over
You could rank his baton pass during Sae's Palace and the rank will be carried over to the third semester.
And Yes, party's stats increase(not sure about Hp and Sp) will be carried over to the next ng+.
