Marty creates melodies and stories in his songs. No one else does that in my opinion. They all just play riffs and shred without meaning. He creates life.

Marty Friedman is an electric guitar god

He lived in Hawaii for years and was in a band named Hawaii. In 1985 there was a lot of metal bands on Oahu and they would play at high schools during lunch .
I went to Aiea high school and behind the cafeteria there was a stage and big grassy hill . Bands would play and you could sit litteraly 2 feet away and after walk up and talk to them as they loaded gear . Got to see Marty with his band Hawaii and other bands like Saber/ Sacred Rite ,Kaos ,Rex Havock and others
Great time . Anybody who is into metal from that time I would recommend the track The Blade from the band Sacred Rite or for real head banging
Revelation by Sacred Rite. Marty 🤘
